Dai Lee seed to notice sothing was up. "Wait.... you didn't know?..... Really?" she said but before she could get an answer from him, Qie Ranzhe suddenly walked in and joined their table in a few strides.
"Mom," he said startling Dai Lee so much that she held her chest trying to calm her palpitating heart.
Like a kid caught stealing milk powder she stamred, "How di-did you... oh, how low," she said as her head slowly turned to look at her assistant hiding behind a nu, "I will deal with you later." The frightened assistant shrank further into the nu secretly lighting a candle for himself.
"No, don't threaten him. He did the right thing by snitching," he said before placing his hand on Wen Qinxi's shoulder intending to take him away, "Are you okay? Did she hurt you? Co let's go back."
Dai Lee, "...."
"Is he porcelain that would break by having lunch with ? He's fine," she explained realising sothing. Her son was most likely a henpecked husband from what she could see.
Wen Qinxi was too dumbstruck to utter a word. What else was Qie Ranzhe hiding from him? What Machu said about him not getting kicked out of Flagship now made sense. This man had a tonne of things he was concealing from him.
"Mom don't make trouble. I will call you later," he said dragging his lover out of the restaurant by the wrist. He opened the car door and buckled Wen Qinxi's seat belt as soon as he sat down. The two of them didn't say anything but their eyes held so many emotions that would gush out at any mont.
Qie Ranzhe closed the car door and strode over to the driver's side before speeding off into traffic. As soon as they arrived at the apartnt, Wen Qinxi planned on going to the fridge, open a can of beer before interrogating this man but his arm was suddenly pulled driving him straight into Qie Ranzhe's chest.
He didn't even have enough ti to react before he was pressed against the wall and kissed fiercely as though Qie Ranzhe planned on eating him up. Like a beast in heat, Qie Ranzhe grasped Wen Qinxi's waist deepening the kiss. His movents were frantic and tyrannical like he was trying to achieve sothing.
In fact, he didn't know what his mother said to Wen Qinxi. The man was silent the entire way ho as though contemplating sothing. Fearing Wen Qinxi would dump him because of his mother's words he decided to delay the inevitable by kissing him. This kiss was ant to convey his feelings to the love of his life but it ended up expressing his grievances and insecurities.
If this passionate kiss was translated into words it would be saying words like you are mine, you can't leave and I can't be without you. Wen Qinxi could feel so of these emotions but didn't know how to soothe him. He could only rub Qie Ranzhe's nape otherwise he might get eaten right here.
This action seed to work because Qie Ranzhe's kisses beca lighter and caresses gentler. He parted his lips from Wen Qinxi's and pressed their foreheads together while stroking his waist. His hot breath brushed against Wen Qinxi's face making his flushed face a deeper shade of red. Their hearts were beating in sync with the atmosphere brimming with tender affections.
"Don't leave ..... Don't, don't listen to her, okay? I...," he said not sure how to ask him to stay without sounding desperate. He could finally be with the person he loved and wouldn't let go even if it kills him.
Wen Qinxi who had been kissed breathless a mont ago raised his head in confusion. "Who is leaving? Laozi got fuckin bent by you so why would I leave? In fact, you have to take full responsibility and I am not going anywhere," he said before walking over to the kitchen mumbling, "Seriously, you just love getting all worked up."
Qie Ranzhe could hear the sounds of the fridge door being slamd followed by the bottom cupboard being manhandled and kicked shut afterwards. It looked like his words had angered his firecracker of a boyfriend.
He wanted to enter the kitchen and coax him but he t Wen Qinxi by the door holding a six-pack and packets of snacks with a cracker in his mouth. "Order dinner while you are at it," said Wen Qinxi before slumping on the couch.
Qie Ranzhe, "...."

Because he was running, he was panting while bending down to catch his breath. As soon as he raised his head to speak he saw Qie Ranzhe cosied up to his brother like he owned the place. "You!...," he yelled pointing at Qie Ranzhe.
