Anger couldn't fully describe how Qie Ranzhe was feeling right now. A violent storm was brewing within him with no point of exit just like a pressure cooker with no way to vent the mounting pressure inching towards an explosion. Qie Ranzhe was seconds away from bursting in anger holding on to the last shred of self-restraint barely maintaining a level head.
A few minutes ago, Qie Ranzhe pulled Zhao Xieshu behind him in a protective manner blocking Zhao Huangzhi's view of the prince. His nature wouldn't permit him to just standby and watch the princess slander Zhao Xieshu for sothing he didn't do. Since he had made a decision to be with Zhao Xieshu from now on he would be his shield protecting him from harm, destroying anyone who hurt him and suppress any one who tries to steal him away. This overwhelming urge prompted him to perform such a protective action in front of Zhao Huangzhi making her green with envy.
It didn't take much effort to get Zhao Huangzhi out of Zhao Xieshu's pavilion. He grasped her elbow and dragged her out of there but failed to notice a certain soone's was displeasure at this scene.
Now they were standing face to face in the palace garden, one trying to restrain his anger and the other fuming with bloodshot eyes. Her chest was heaving violently with streams of tears flowing from her enchanting eyes.
"Ran-ge I don't understand? Why were you kissing him? Did he do sothing to you?.....Co, I will take you to see a doctor and get whatever filthy drug that slut us-," she cried out in desperation while tugging his sleeve before she was rudely interrupted by Qie Ranzhe's low yet nacing voice,
"I advice you to shut your mouth if you know what's good for you."
Zhao Huangzhi's heart sank to the pit of her stomach. How could this be? This script was definitely wrong. He was ant to love her and her alone yet Zhao Xieshu had stolen him right under her nose.
"Ran-ge, explain it to ? He has done nothing but embarrass you ever since high school making public confessions calling you daddy Ran in front of everyone. Not only that but he also cursed you out in front of the entire Valim Network," she said with a brittle voice while choking on her tears. She had done everything right and everyone praised her for being the perfect oga but the alpha of her dreams would rather have her screw up brother who caused trouble non stop.
"Why him? Of all ogas why him?.....I am a much better oga than him. An oga fit for a Marshal of your statue so why?....Tell , whatever his does for you I can do it too. Even better than he can," she said with with a hint of despair in her voice.
Qie Ranzhe stayed silent the entire ti listening to her while regretting ever being nice to Zhao Huangzhi because it had led to a misunderstanding. In the past he had considered marrying her as she was the perfect example of an ideal oga that every family wanted for their alphas and betas but when he was with her he felt nothing like eating sothing bland.
But with Zhao Xieshu all the symptoms were there.
When the prince wasn't there he couldn't stop worrying about him and when he was in trouble Qie Ranzhe would drop everything to be with him. When the Marshal laid eyes on him he couldn't fend off the urge to touch him and Qie Ranzhe's tummy would suddenly get sward by butterflies. With Zhao Xieshu around him his palms would get sweaty and his heart rate would race uncontrollably. He liked Zhao Xieshu and wanted to be by his side night and day. Soone like Zhao Huangzhi would never understand that. So what if Zhao Xieshu was naughty? He was his naughty oga and he liked it.
"I never promised you anything. Just because I was nice to you it doesn't an that I would end up with you. I suggest you move on Princess Huangzhi as I have already made my decision," he said suppressing the raging storm stirring within. He didn't appreciate her insulting Zhao Xieshu and the source of that disrespect was none other than Emperor Zhao.
Yesterday he personally witnessed the abuse the prince suffered in the hands of the emperor. That is to say the mark on his wrist the last ti wasn't from a love spur but from the man who was ant to protect him. When he saw the emperor raise his hand against Zhao Xieshu, he felt an agonizing pain in his chest. His heart felt like it was being torn in all directions and shred into a million pieces. He was determined to make things right by borrowing the hand of god and cripple the man who not only hurt his family but his oga as well.
Qie Ranzhe who had been lost in thought was just about to walk away from her when a familiar dandelion oga scent filled the air surrounding him mingling with each breath he took. Zhao Huangzhi fell forward into his embrace resorting to such a dubious thods out of pure desperation. If Zhao Xieshu could do it then she could do it too her intentions clear as day. She ant to appeal to Qie Ranzhe's alpha senses and hopefully have the Marshal mark her earning his eternal devotion but who would have thought her plan would backfire angering Qie Ranzhe to the point of losing all rationality.
Like a ferocious beast with murderous intent, Qie Ranzhe cornered her with his overpowering alpha pheromones till her legs gave in cowering in fright. "Zhao Huangzhi don't fuckin test my patience!" he said with an overbearing voice that had the princess convinced he did hurt her if she continued pestering him.
She didn't dare move till Qie Ranzhe was out of sight and as soon as his figure disappeared, she had her servants help her up as the sullen expression upturned into a psycho smile.
She rubbed at her eyes while saying, "He thinks he can fuckin drop just like that? Hahaha...oh how naive. I will make you mine Marshal and if I can't have you then no one can," she said as her servant fixed her hair, "Let's go cry to daddy dearest and make him fuckin miserable."
