Sigh~ I went around in circles, and now I’m back where I started.

All day long, Uchiha Yejū kept moving back and forth along the border, like a long snake slithering around—sotis crossing into the Land of Wind, then retreating back into the Land of Rivers.

In and out, again and again, driving the Sunagakure ninjas crazy.

Every ti they wanted to make a move, he would already be outside the Land of Wind’s borders.

And just to rub it in, he’d throw in a little taunt before leaving.

Just when they thought he was finally gone—bam, he was back again.

Damn it, what was Konoha trying to pull?

Were they deliberately provoking Sunagakure?

Were they not afraid of starting a war between the two villages?

The Sunagakure border camp was in an uproar when word got out.

So were shouting that they should teach Konoha a lesson. Others argued it wasn’t worth making a big deal out of it.

So insisted they needed to report this to the village and let Kazekage-sama handle it.

Everyone had different opinions, but none of them stopped to think—hadn’t they done the sa thing to Konoha’s ninjas before?

This ti, the roles were just reversed, and suddenly Sunagakure’s nerves were on edge.

"So they just kept blocking you from entering the Land of Wind?"

"Yes, sir. To avoid misunderstandings and prevent real conflict, I decided to pull back with my team."

Uchiha Yejū felt like his decision was perfectly reasonable.

"Idiotic."

That was the only response he got from Yan.

"Huh?"

Did he just call an idiot?

What did I do wrong?

Being called an idiot by his own clan elder left Uchiha Yejū completely dumbfounded.

The people in the command tent all had stunned expressions on their faces.

He had avoided conflict, prevented misunderstandings, and didn’t push things too far—yet that was considered stupid?

Sitting at the head of the table, Yan slowly lifted his teacup, took a sip, then shook his head in disappointnt before setting it down.

As expected, he really wasn’t the type to appreciate tea.

"I’m sitting right here—what are you so scared of? Just go back and keep wandering around. If they dare to attack, then fight back. Be aggressive. I want you to make them feel like you’re bullying them, not acting all hesitant and timid."

"Listen up, if we’re going to provoke them, then let’s make it loud and ssy. Sunagakure was never afraid to ss with us, so why should we hesitate?"

"It’s one thing if I wasn’t here, but I, Uchiha Yan, am sitting right in this camp—what are you afraid of?

Even if a fight breaks out, even if we end up provoking Sunagakure’s higher-ups into coming here and demanding an explanation—so what? Who do they think they are?"

"....."

Damn!

Everyone stared at Yan, completely speechless.

Now they finally understood why Yan called Uchiha Nozomi foolish!

It was because he was too soft!

Be tougher, be more forceful, be fiercer! At worst, it’ll just turn into a fight.

We’re at the border—if Sunagakure’s forces can provide backup quickly, so can we.

And as for whether this would start a war... is that really our problem?

Is that sothing we need to worry about?

Just do it and get it over with.

"Sir, I understand now. Please allow to lead a team to continue this mission."

Uchiha Nozomi imdiately stepped forward, realizing he had been too hesitant.

As a Jonin of the Uchiha clan, what was there to be afraid of?

Their elder was right here—so what if the Sunagakure shinobi were shouting threats? If they had the guts, they could go ahead and start a war!

The elder was right. Whether or not this would lead to war wasn’t their concern.

All they needed to do was complete their mission. If they backed down in front of Sunagakure shinobi and returned ho like cowards, the entire clan would laugh at them.

Uchiha shinobi weren’t the type to shy away from conflict.

"Hmm, go ahead with your mission. I’ll have Shisui accompany you."

"Even if Rasa himself shows up, you won’t be in any danger."

"Yes, sir!!!"

Now that he understood the real boundaries of his mission, Uchiha Nozomi was fired up as he left the command center, ready to go all out.

"Shisui, follow them. Don’t be afraid to clash with Sunagakure—we *want* a conflict.

If we don’t teach them a lesson, they’ll never learn."

"We can’t just rely on others to follow our rules.

If they refuse to respect them, then we’ll beat them into submission."

"Understood."

With that, Shisui set off.

Has Konohagakure gone crazy? Are they causing trouble again?

At the border camp, the Sunagakure shinobi quickly noticed that Konohagakure’s forces had once again wandered onto their territory. Enraged, they imdiately dispatched squads to intercept them.

But what caught them off guard was that the Konohagakure shinobi, who used to be more subtle and evasive, were suddenly acting much more aggressive.

*What? You wanna fight?*

*If not, then shut up. I just got lost—got a problem with that?*

*Not happy? Then fight ! If a war breaks out, it’ll be because you threw the first punch. Not our fault.*

Konohagakure’s sudden show of strength left the Sunagakure shinobi feeling uneasy.

Were they really not afraid of starting a war?

No—judging by their attitude and actions, it wasn’t that they weren’t afraid of war. They were *deliberately* provoking one.

In other words, if we make a move, we’re playing right into their hands?

Could it be that Konohagakure *wants* to go to war with our village?

Realizing this, the Sunagakure camp leader felt a chill run down his spine. Without hesitation, he ordered his shinobi to stay calm, not fall for the enemy’s trap, and wait for Kazekage-sama’s decision before taking any action.

Does Sunagakure Village want to go to war with Konohagakure?

Of course not. Just because they like to ss around sotis doesn’t an they actually want to start a war with Konohagakure.

In fact, if Konohagakure shows strength, they have no choice but to back off. They can’t be sure whether Konohagakure is doing this on purpose—provoking them just to push them into making a move, which could then be used as an excuse to start a war.

If it’s just so simple provocation, it’s not a big deal. But if Konohagakure really has such a plan, then the mont Sunagakure retaliates, they’ll be in serious trouble.

For all they know, Konohagakure might just use it as a reason to launch an attack on Sunagakure Village.

As for why Konohagakure would do this—who the hell knows?

Didn’t Sunagakure Village also co up with so random excuse when they declared war on Konohagakure before?

During the First Great Ninja War, as soon as Senju Hashirama died, all the villages started getting restless. Then, after Senju Tobirama was ambushed in Kumogakure Village, war broke out.

No one even tried to hide it. The war just started, plain and simple.

The Second Great Ninja War? That one was just as chaotic. And the Third? No need to say anything—it was the sa ss all over again.

If Konohagakure is actually provoking them with the intention of starting a war... then the village is in real danger.

No one can say for sure whether Konohagakure is just stirring up trouble or if they’re actually looking for an excuse to go to war.
