No longer burdened by the weight of her family’s expectations, and no longer confined by the strict rules of the Hyuga clan, Hinata could finally live a happy life like any ordinary girl. Of course, while she had more freedom, she couldn’t go completely wild. That was sothing the Hyuga clan would never allow. Otherwise, it would bring sha to the clan and make people question the Hyuga’s upbringing.

"Lord Advisor, there are important guests from Kumogakure Village in the village. The Hokage has requested your presence to receive them."

The peaceful atmosphere was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of an Anbu ninja.

"Alright, let’s head back. I’ll take you out again next ti," Yan said. As the Hokage’s advisor, he couldn’t afford to be idle for too long. Tsunade wouldn’t let him off the hook that easily.

Sure enough, as soon as sothing ca up, it was pushed onto him.

"Mm," Hinata quickly finished the grilled at in her hands and washed off the grease.

"Ah?!" Just as she finished washing her hands, Hinata was suddenly picked up, causing her to let out a surprised yelp.

"....."

The Anbu ninja following behind quickly looked away, pretending not to see what was happening.

"Stay still. You’re too slow. I’ll take you back."

Yan picked up the still-small Hinata and, along with the Anbu team, quickly made their way back to the village.

It wasn’t that he wanted to do anything in particular—he just wanted to get back to the village as fast as possible.

Hinata’s strength and speed were still lacking, and running all the way back would have exhausted her.

"Okay."

Knowing Yan didn’t an anything by it, Hinata blushed and obediently rested on his shoulder as he carried her back to Konohagakure.

"Make sure Hinata gets ho safely."

Once back in the village, Yan handed the task of escorting Hinata ho to the Anbu ninja.

"Don’t worry, Lord Advisor. I’ll make sure Miss Hinata gets ho safely."

"Go ahead."

Waving goodbye to Hinata, Yan headed straight to the Hokage’s office.

What is Kumogakure Village up to this ti?

The Sharingan sealing issue hasn’t even been resolved yet, and now they’re sending people to Konohagakure again.

Though the visits have been frequent, things are at least moving in a positive direction.

At least Kumogakure Village is starting to rely on Konohagakure a bit more, instead of trying to boss us around like before.

"Where are the guests from Kumogakure Village?"

"In your office."

"Got it."

After straightening his clothes, Yan opened the door and walked into his office. When he saw who was inside, he couldn’t help but laugh.

"Well, well, look who’s here. What a coincidence—or should I say, why is it always you two?"

Inside the Hokage Advisor’s office were Mabui and Samui.

Yan recognized them imdiately.

Wasn’t it these two who were sent to Konohagakure last ti?

Good thing they weren’t sent to the front lines during the recent conflict with Kumogakure Village. Otherwise, these two beauties of the new generation might have ended up buried in Agakure Village.

No matter how many tis they heard it, Mabui and Samui always found Yan’s tone incredibly annoying.

If they weren’t guests...

If they weren’t here on Raikage’s orders...

If they weren’t outmatched...

Well, being outmatched was the main issue!

Otherwise, they’d have taught Yan a lesson. Seeing the two won clearly itching to punch him, Yan sat down in his chair and asked,

"So, what brings you two here?"

"Sir, we co with the sincerity of our village and the orders of the Raikage. Please take a look."

Mabui put on a friendly smile and handed Yan a scroll.

What is the Raikage up to now?

Curious, Yan opened the scroll and skimd through its contents. He quickly understood the Raikage’s intentions.

In short, Konohagakure and Kumogakure Village were to form a joint team to investigate the Akatsuki and track their movents.

"Sorry, but I can’t handle this matter."

Yan casually rolled up the scroll and motioned for Mabui to take it:

"Go out, turn right, walk to the end, and knock on the Hokage’s office door. Take your ti, and I won’t see you out."

Yan and Tsunade had discussed this earlier. Tsunade had said she would handle the investigation team, so it wasn’t a problem for Yan to send Mabui and Samui to her.

However, Samui and Mabui, unaware of the reason, felt like Yan was targeting them.

After all, Yan had only glanced at the scroll for less than three seconds before rolling it up and telling them to take it and leave.

"Go to the Hokage’s office to deal with it."

Mabui didn’t take the scroll. Her smile stiffened as she struggled to keep her emotions in check, trying not to let anger take over:

"Sir, may I ask what you an by this?"

"What do I an?"

Yan looked at her, confused:

"Didn’t I just say it? Go out, turn right, walk to the end, and knock on the Hokage’s office door.

If you’re too shy, you can ask the Anbu at the door to do it for you. If there’s nothing else, please leave."

Tsunade had a lot on her plate, and so did he.

After a few days off, there were piles of docunts waiting for him.

Ever since he beca the Hokage’s assistant, Tsunade seed to be getting lazier.

"....."

While Mabui could still control her emotions, Samui was about to explode. Her frustration was almost on par with Tsunade’s infamous temper.

Pulling Samui’s hand, Mabui forced a smile and spoke softly:

"Sir, if there’s any misunderstanding between us, please just say it. I don’t want a small misunderstanding to affect the cooperation between our villages.

Raikage-sama has shown great sincerity in choosing to work with Konohagakure."

Misunderstanding?

Sincerity?

Yan rubbed his face, stood up, and walked over to Mabui. He picked up the scroll, placed it in her hand, and patted her shoulder.

As his hand landed on her shoulder, Mabui stiffened. If Yan hadn’t stopped there, she might have even considered throwing him over her shoulder.

"We had so misunderstandings during the Jonin exam in your village, but I thought those were already resolved. There’s no need to dwell on them.

Besides, I am not that petty."

Pointing to the door, Yan tried to keep his tone calm:

"Regarding the investigation into the Akatsuki, I’ve discussed it with the Hokage. She’s the one in charge of selecting the team mbers. That’s why I told you to go to the Hokage’s office. I’m not trying to make things difficult for you."

"Do you two understand now?"

Mabui: "....."

Samui: "......"
