When Fenric returned to the city, it was already five o’clock in the morning.

A faint light crept across the sky.

Wearing battle armor, Fenric avoided flying directly over the city and instead landed in a remote area. Though the armor could block radar scans, flying too close would expose him to the naked eye.

He navigated the city by foot.

With his ntal strength now exceeding six hundred, he could glide briefly in the air—practically flight in short bursts.

Combined with his agility, even a city lockdown couldn’t stop his movents.

Soon, he reached the city center.

The scene was utter chaos.

Cratered roads, shattered buildings, and flas erupting skyward. Corpses littered the ground—both human and monstrous zombies. From a bird’s-eye view, it looked like the apocalypse had descended.

It appeared that the Blacklight Virus had leaked into the urban area, causing massive destruction.

Fenric frowned. He decided to act once dawn fully broke.

Just then, an ard squad was moving cautiously through the high-rise ruins. Equipped with night vision goggles, they appeared to be searching for sothing dangerous.

Suddenly, a dark figure leapt out from another building like a wolf pouncing on prey.

Across a 20-ter-wide street, the figure cleared the distance in a single bound—explosive power evident. Mid-air, its arms began to mutate grotesquely.

A monster.

Fenric narrowed his eyes.

He imdiately recognized it—an [Evolved], soone infected and mutated by the Blacklight Virus.

Just like the heroine "Alice" from Resident Evil, this [Evolved] possessed imnse strength.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"

Rat-tat-tat!

"Watch the flanks!"

"Call for backup!"

But the squad stood no chance.

If the [Evolved] was a tiger, the ard team was a flock of sheep.

Slaughter ensued.

In seconds, the seven- or eight-man squad was butchered. The [Evolved] tore through them like a whirlwind of blades and gore. Blood painted the ground red—limbs torn, bodies broken. A massacre.

They didn’t even manage to send a distress signal.

This one [Evolved] alone showed terrifying strength and ruthless brutality.

From a distance, Fenric observed silently.

He noticed sothing odd.

Despite the [Evolved] overwhelming strength, it didn’t flee the city. It wasn’t trying to escape—it was hunting people deliberately.

Then, as if sensing Fenric’s presence, the [Evolved] abruptly turned its head.

The next mont—

It lunged.

Exploding off the ground, it soared through the air with predatory intent, crossing the gap between buildings like a bird of prey.

Fenric blinked in mild surprise.

Then, he laughed.

A cold, mocking laugh.

"I wasn’t even planning to look for you, and you co straight to ?"

There’s a road to heaven, yet you don’t take it; you barge into hell instead.

It wasn’t arrogance.

An [Evolved] dares to hunt him?

Delusional.

As the [Evolved] approached, it opened its mouth and growled in a guttural accent:

"Samsara...?"

Fenric’s expression shifted.

"A foreigner?"

His irritation flared.

So bastard had the audacity to barge into Jadeveil Nation, slaughter people, and even force him and his father to relocate overnight?

Unforgivable.

Without another word, Fenric raised his hand and flexed his fingers.

Telekinesis energy activated.

He would beat this bastard until even his mother wouldn’t recognize him.

The [Evolved] body seized up mid-air—frozen by Fenric’s ntal grip.

Armant Haki surged around Fenric’s body.

With a flash, his iron fist smashed directly into the [Evolveds] skull.

The brain—always a weakness for infected creatures—was targeted.

Even Blacklight [Evolveds] weren’t immune.

Despite being immobilized, the [Evolveds] mutated arms shifted into blade-like weapons, stabbing toward Fenric’s torso.

It was a desperate move.

If Fenric didn’t change his attack trajectory, he would be impaled.

But he didn’t flinch.

BOOM—!

The two collided violently.

The [Evolved] was sent flying like a ragdoll.

Fenric stood unscathed.

"You think you can hurt with that?" he muttered.

With Grandmaster-level Armant Haki protecting him, an [Evolved] didn’t even qualify as a threat.

Just as the [Evolved] was about to crash into a wall, Fenric yanked him back mid-air with Telekinesis force.

Then—

BOOM—! BOOM—! BOOM—!

Fenric turned the [Evolved] into a living sandbag.

Blow after blow rained down.

Even if this [Evolved] had evolved to the level of "Brother A" from the ga, he still wouldn’t stand a chance.

Fenric was an A-rank boss now.

[Evolveds] were, at best, B-rank. They couldn’t even penetrate his defenses—let alone fight back.

With each strike, the [Evolveds] regeneration faltered. Though their healing was strong, it ca at a high physical cost. After Fenric’s onslaught, the creature was visibly drained.

Fenric finally stopped.

Grabbing the creature’s throat with one hand, he lifted its battered body with the other.

Then—

He squeezed.

"Aaaaaaghhh!!"

The [Evolved] scread in agony.

Crack!

Blood splattered.

Fenric ripped out its spine with one brutal motion.

Savage. Ruthless. Absolute.

Fenric stared at the dying creature, expressionless.

Even though the corpse was in pieces, the [Evolved] clung to life—infected bodies had a frightening vitality.

From a distance ca the sound of rushing footsteps and the rumble of military vehicles.

The commotion had drawn the military’s attention.

Fenric casually dropped the [Evolveds] severed head, plucked a clump of hair from a nearby corpse, and took out a fake mask.

Next mont, his body began to change—becoming shorter, rounder.

Within seconds, he had transford into a plump middle-aged man.

An exact replica of the corpse lying nearby.
