’If he knows everything, why doesn’t he know this? Unless... he can’t read my mind or hear when I’m far away from him. And he can’t even reach my mind now,’ Aurianna mused, her brow furrowing.

Her thoughts spiraled further. ’Maybe this is why he’s so obsessed with my race. Why else would he care so much? Honestly, I’d be frustrated too if there were soone immune to the full extent of my powers.’

"Well, it doesn’t matter," the High god interrupted her thoughts. "After all, you’ll be on my side. As long as you’re here, she won’t dare attack my domain." His words were cold which made Aurianna’s skin tremble.

Aurianna narrowed her eyes. ’She? Who’s he talking about?’

The High god suddenly tilted his head, as if pondering sothing. "Though I do have one last question for you. Which one are you? Aurianna or the White gemaris?" His tone sharpened as he placed her gently on the ground.

"I’m Aurianna," she replied, her voice laced with confusion. "Who else would I be?"

"Ah, I see," the High god said, a sly smile curving his lips. "Because a few years ago, I felt her presence—your ancestor’s. I’ll admit, I was a bit unnerved at first. But now? I’m relieved. After all, you’re devouring her." His smile widened, but the coldness in his voice made Aurianna shiver. "I wouldn’t want that annoying woman to be reborn. She’s nothing but a nuisance."

"Now that I think about it, you’re oddly similar to her as well," he said, leaning closer to scrutinize her face. His gaze was analytical, almost invasive.

"Let see," he muttered to himself. With a casual swipe of his hand, a shimring image of the White gemaris appeared on a glowing screen beside him. He pulled it closer to Aurianna’s face, studying her expression and features intensively.

"Oh yes, you’re starting to look a lot like her," he stated, nodding to himself.

Azarath perked up asking. "High god... can I ask why the gemaris race is so important to you?"

The High god’s eyes lit up, a rare spark of excitent replacing his usual detached deanor. "Souls," he began. "No one in the entire universe can create souls apart from that race. Among every god-like race across existence, they stood unparalleled. They managed everything. They created the heavens, the planets—rulers of all life and death in every dinsion." He paused, a faraway look in his eyes. "They essentially crafted the very fabric of existence itself."

"But all I have is a baby version, huh," the High god muttered, his tone dripping with disappointnt as he stared at Aurianna.

Aurianna crossed her arms, her brow twitching in irritation. "I believe the High god is confusing with soone else. I don’t know anything about this race you’re babbling about. After all, if I had such powerful ancestors, would I look like this? A re human?" She gestured at herself dismissively, then scoffed. "And honestly, my ancestor looks like a deadbeat. That useless old hag seems like she’d be nothing but a pain."

The High god chuckled. "My, you’re still trying to play dumb, little one. How amusing. But no matter." His eyes glead. "Since I’ve removed a portion of your seal, you’ll grow faster. Much faster."

’Heh, is he clueless or just overconfident?’ Aurianna smirked inwardly. ’Once I reach level 10,000, I’ll beco a World Eater. Let’s see who’s laughing then.’

"I doubt that," Eva’s voice chid in coldly from within Aurianna’s mind.

Aurianna blinked, her smirk faltering. "Why though?" she asked, confused.

Eva sighed. "You and Iris are entirely different. Iris has two gems. You? You only have half of yours. Even with a portion of your seal removed, Iris is a complete abnormality. At least, that’s what the system told ."

Aurianna frowned, the revelation dimming her enthusiasm.

’What’s this guy’s goal, anyway?’ Eva wondered, her tone tinged with suspicion. ’I an, I haven’t sensed any pure killing intent from him. Doesn’t that an there’s no reason for to reverse ti?’ She asked herself, staring at the High god through her screen in the void space.

Aurianna rolled her eyes. "Alright, fine. But honestly, he’s embarrassing ," she muttered shyly, prompting Eva to give her a blank stare.

The High god’s voice interrupted their internal conversation, snapping Aurianna back to reality. "I’ll give you 13 more years to live your mortal life, child. After that, you’ll co with ."

Aurianna raised an eyebrow, defiance flickering in her gaze. "And what if I refuse?"

The High god’s expression turned cold, a smile devoid of warmth tugging at his lips. "Then I’ll kill Eva."

A chill ran down Aurianna’s spine, but she quickly steeled herself, her eyes narrowing. "Watch your words," she said in a threatening tone.

The High god smirked at her audacity, finding amusent in her actions.

"You dare speak to the High god in such a way?!" Paige, bellowed, her hair flaring with the intensity of her rage.

"I won’t warn you again, Paige," the High god said, his voice cold as ice, his gaze cutting into her like a blade.

Paige imdiately sat back into her seat, bowing her head. "Forgive ," she murmured, though her clenched fists betrayed her frustration.

The High god turned back to Aurianna, his expression softening into sothing almost amused. "My, you no longer tremble when I bring that woman up. Do you cherish her that much?" he asked, his eyes glinting with curiosity.

Aurianna remained silent, her lips pressed into a thin line.

"Ah, I see," he said with a soft chuckle. "I’m quite jealous."

The chuckle faded, and his tone grew confident. "But you’ll co around. You’ll agree to stand by my side. I know it."

Before Aurianna could reply, his smile disappeared, replaced by a scowl as a shimring screen materialized before him. "This bitch again," he muttered, his voice laced with irritation.

’Who’s calling him?’ Aurianna wondered, curiosity sparking as she subtly looked up to get a glimpse of the screen.

"You still haven’t found her?!" a woman’s furious voice scread from the other end.

The High god’s tone dripped with disdain. "Can’t you see I’m in the middle of a eting with my world?"

"I couldn’t give a shit about that!" the woman snapped, her voice sounding distorted so no one could hear what she was saying. "Find the White gemaris imdiately!"

The High god chuckled, folding his arms as a mocking grin spread across his face. "My, are you all really that terrified of Iris?"

"What the hell do you expect us to be?!" the woman roared, her voice cracking under the weight of her frustration. "You’re not fighting on the front lines, so you have no idea how bad it is!"

"Then deal with it yourselves. You’re Regals, after all," the High god said dismissively, waving a hand as though the matter were trivial.

"Shut the hell up!" the woman spat. "Find the White gemaris, or I’ll have your stupid head! We need another monster to fight that monster. If not, she’ll wipe us out!"

The High god scoffed, rolling his eyes. "She’s just a child, and yet you’re all losing to her? Doesn’t that prove you’re weak?"

"You... how dare you," the woman hissed, her fury barely contained.

"I won’t waste my ti arguing with you," she snapped. "You’re just trying to rile up. But mark my words—if you don’t find her, others will." With that, the call ended, and the screen vanished.

Aurianna blinked, her brows furrowing as she processed what little she had understood. ’Their voices... were distorted. Another language? What were they saying about Iris?’ Her eyes lingered on the High god, who seed unbothered by the exchange.

The High god sighed, brushing imaginary dust from his sleeve. "Anyway, ignoring that, there’s one last thing before I go."

"And that would be?" Aurianna asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Kindly remove this from ," the High God said, his voice calm. He raised his coat, revealing an arm that was the colour of space. Stars glittered faintly against the dark, void-like texture of his skin. Embedded into his wrist was a crystalline shard, pulsating faintly with a cold light. Jagged white marks crawled like veins up his arm, crawling around as though alive.

Aurianna stared, montarily speechless. The sight was both beautiful and weird to her.

’This is the first ti I’ve seen the High god reveal this to a mortal,’ Azarath thought, her usual playful deanor gone. Her gaze fixed on the arm with a rare intensity. His scar...

"What... is that?" Aurianna finally managed to ask, her voice quieter than she intended.

For so reason, the sight of the crystalline shard embedded in the High god’s wrist stirred sothing deep within Aurianna. A strange familiarity washed over her, as if she’d seen it before in a forgotten dream or a half-rembered mory.

"That’s... your ancestor’s bone," the High god admitted. "A fragnt embedded into long ago to ensure I wouldn’t betray her during a war."

Aurianna’s eyes widened slightly, shock flickering across her face before it hardened into a frown. "Damn. How old are you?" she asked.

The High God smirked, clearly amused by her bluntness. "Older than you can fathom, child," he replied. "Far older than my world. I was there when it all happened—the great war that shook the entire dinsion. The strongest race, the Gemaris, killed each other. Till the now new Rulers the Regals."
