The alliance stared at the churning lava lake below—vast molten sea, orange-red surface swirling violently.

"Even I cannot swim through magma indefinitely," Raziel stated as his draconic form glowed with absorbed heat. "The depth is unknowable. Hundreds of ters, perhaps deeper. And Draven must accompany —Fragnt Bearer required."

Malvorn's single red-orange eye pulsed thoughtfully. "Standard protection won't suffice. The lava's temperature would overwhelm any natural defense within seconds."

Frostina's ice-blue eyes calculated grimly. "My barriers would evaporate instantly at those depths."

Naelvorn coiled uncomfortably. "This is nightmare territory, bro."

The problem seed insurmountable.

Genesis Codex pulsed suddenly as golden-green light intensified.

Luminestra's presence manifested strongly through the artifact. "Never underestimate what Life's Law can achieve. I can create protective sphere around Draven—dinsional barrier reinforced by Fragnt energy. It will hold against lava."

Adhivar's deeper voice resonated. "Original Universe energy channeled through Genesis Codex. The sphere will be indestructible as long as Life's Law maintains it. Temperature, pressure, elental damage—all negated."

Draven touched the Codex while feeling its certainty. "You're sure?"

"Absolutely," Luminestra confird. "Trust . Trust Life's Law. We'll protect you."

Raziel's molten orange eyes focused on Draven. "Then we descend together."

Genesis Codex floated before Draven while spinning slowly. Golden-green energy erupted—Life's Law made visible, Fragnt power channeling through crystalline artifact.

The energy wrapped around Draven like living light while forming sphere three ters in diater. The barrier solidified instantly—transparent like crystal, glowing faintly with Life's Law resonance, humming with contained power.

Inside, Draven felt weightless. Temperature normalized imdiately—apocalyptic heat from lava lake vanishing, replaced by comfortable warmth.

He pressed hand against sphere's interior. Solid. Impenetrable. Secure.

"Ready," Draven said quietly.

Raziel approached as claws gently gripped the sphere.

"Hold on."

---

Raziel carried the protective sphere forward as his draconic form moved confidently toward lava lake edge.

The alliance watched from chamber's rim—Malvorn, Naelvorn, Frostina in human forms, the pack in beast forms. Feyra's golden eyes wide with concern. Velnar's thorn-spines bristled anxiously. Sylvara's turquoise gaze followed them. Zor's violet lightning crackled nervously.

"Be careful, bro," Naelvorn called.

Raziel didn't respond. He stepped onto the lava's surface.

His clawed feet touched molten rock—and didn't sink. Fire-elent mastery allowed him to walk on magma like solid ground. He moved forward until waist-deep, then chest-deep in liquid fire.

Then descended beneath the surface.

Orange-red consud everything.

Inside the sphere, Draven watched the lava swallow them—molten rock flowing past the transparent barrier, glowing intensely, heat visible as shimr despite protection.

They sank deeper.

The Genesis Codex sphere acted like perfect window—clear visibility through molten rock despite lava's density.

Draven saw everything.

The magma wasn't uniform—it flowed in currents, layers of different temperatures creating distinct streams. Hotter magma glowed bright orange, nearly white at its core. Cooler flows swirled darker red, viscous like honey. The currents moved constantly, churning, mixing, separating again in hypnotic patterns.

Volcanic crystals floated past—obsidian shards, fire opals glowing internally, sulfur fragnts dissolved slowly. So crystals were enormous—boulder-sized formations tumbling through liquid fire like debris in ocean current.

Pressure increased steadily. Draven felt it against the sphere—not inside, but sensed through Life's Law connection. The magma's weight pressed harder with every ter descended.

Raziel swam downward powerfully as claws pulled through molten rock, wings folded tight, body streamlined. He navigated currents expertly while avoiding hotter streams and using cooler flows for montum.

They descended fifty ters.

One hundred.

Two hundred.

Three hundred ters beneath the surface, the environnt changed.

The magma grew denser with pressure imnse. Volcanic gases rose in massive bubbles—each one large enough to swallow a house, glowing from within, releasing steam when they broke surface far above.

Raziel's swimming slowed with effort showing despite elental affinity. His chest glowed brighter—magma channels along wings pulsing intensely, responding to sothing ahead.

"The attraction," Raziel rumbled with voice distorted through lava. "It's directly below. Powerful. Calling . Fire to fire."

Draven peered downward through the sphere. Far below—four hundred ters? Five hundred?—he saw structure.

Architect construction, unmistakable. Heat-resistant material glowing faintly against magma's orange. The structure was built into volcanic bedrock itself—massive chamber carved from planetary crust, reinforced with rger-era engineering.

And inside that chamber, two things:

First: An Anchor. Human-height staff, black with starry depths, beveled patterns visible even from distance. The Fire Anchor, stabilizing Theia's volcanic systems, preventing catastrophic eruptions, protecting millions of lives.

But beside the Anchor—sothing else.

A pool of concentrated essence. Not normal magma. Sothing purer. Denser. Glowing with intensity that made surrounding lava look dim.

Lava essence.

That was what called to Raziel.

---

Raziel reached the chamber entrance—massive archway carved into bedrock, beveled patterns framing the opening.

The mont they passed through, the environnt changed dramatically.

The magma stopped. Architect engineering held the molten rock back—dinsional barrier invisible but absolute, creating pocket of superheated air inside the chamber. Temperature remained apocalyptic, but breathable atmosphere existed.

Raziel released the protective sphere gently while setting it down on obsidian floor.

Inside the sphere, Draven stood carefully. The chamber was cathedral-sized—hundred ters across, do ceiling carved smooth, walls covered with rger-era patterns.

And there—center of chamber—stood the Fire Anchor.

Human-height staff, black surface holding starry depths, beveled geotric patterns engraved across entire form. Identical to the First Anchor Draven had retrieved.

But Raziel's attention wasn't on the Anchor.

His molten orange eyes fixed on the pool beside it.

Ten ters wide, circular, contained within carved obsidian basin. The essence glowed with intensity that hurt to look at directly—pure concentrated lava, distilled over millions of years, gathering in this protected chamber.

This was what had called to him centuries ago. What pulled at him still—irresistible attraction, fire-elent recognizing sothing profoundly significant.

"Lava essence," Raziel breathed with voice thick with recognition and longing. "Pure. Concentrated. I've never... this could—"

He stopped, overwheld.

Luminestra's presence stirred through Genesis Codex. "That essence... Raziel, that's Epic-tier ascension fuel. Enough to push you beyond Overlord."

Before anyone could respond—movent.

From the lava essence pool itself, sothing rose.

Molten form pulling together—liquid fire shaping itself into being. The essence swirled, compressed, solidified partially while remaining fluid. A construct, built from pure lava, towering three ters tall.

No face. No features. Just humanoid shape composed of concentrated essence, glowing white-hot at its core, dripping magma that evaporated before hitting ground.

It stood between them and the Fire Anchor.

The lava construct's form pulsed once—acknowledging their presence.

Then it moved.
