Chapter 566: Chapter 545 I Don’t Want to Do the Main Quest! (2nd Update! Vote for Monthly Tickets!)

The power of Grey Mist that the grey-eyed wielded showed terrifying dominance in front of the Annihilation Legion.

With Jiang Qiao’s assistance, half of the mbers of the Annihilation Legion that invaded the Sustainable Sanctuary had entered the abyss of power rampage.

They were dragged by the grey-eyed into a world of consciousness, struggling against their own power incarnations, a struggle that would last a very long ti.

In this way, the grey-eyed alone held back the pace of the entire Annihilation Legion’s invasion, proving to the players that as Governor of the Sustainable Sanctuary, he possessed strength far surpassing that of the Divine Gun, Alma.

During this period, the players’ role was to stoke the fire and be spectators; when the Annihilation Legion couldn’t beat the grey-eyed, the players would heal a couple of the Legion’s soldiers, and when the Legion’s soldiers tried to suppress the Power of Grey Mist, the players would instead help the grey-eyed counter the Annihilation Legion.

Under the constraint of the Saint Spirit, a peculiar balance was ford between the two sides: the grey-eyed restored his health by devouring the power of the Annihilation Legion’s soldiers, while also reducing their numbers.

The Saint Spirits took advantage of this ti to deepen their understanding of their own power.

The commanders of the Annihilation Legion and the grey-eyed were not foolish; they also attempted to communicate and negotiate, thinking about whether to first take down those annoying Saint Spirits.

Their negotiation was successful, but the ultimate outco was still a failure, either because the grey-eyed backstabbed the Annihilation Legion, or the Annihilation Legion backstabbed the grey-eyed.

Upon further consideration, the grey-eyed realized that these Saint Spirits actually had far less impact on the existence of the Sustainable Sanctuary compared to the Annihilation Legion. The Saint Spirits were robbers, while the Annihilation Legion vandalized: thus, the grey-eyed began to focus on combating the Legion’s soldiers.

This strange battlefield balance continued for nearly five days, during which Xue Bi and Rosh were always trying to break through the transmission lockdown of the Sustainable Sanctuary by various ans.

But all failed… The core of the Sanctuary was the grey-eyed’s last line of defense; once either the Annihilation Legion or the Saint Spirits stepped into it, the amount of power rampage would beco so great that it would destroy flesh and blood.

However, today, the battle situation has changed slightly, and that is… the Annihilation Legion had rescued Thorne!

“Has it begun already?”

Thorne curled up alone in the corner of the prison; during this ti, he had already heard the sounds of battle coming from outside, but even though the soldiers of the Annihilation Legion killed the prison guards and banished all restraints on Thorne,

he chose to curl up in the corner unmoved.

“Eternal, it’s ti for you to work!”

The one who rescued Thorne was another commander of the Annihilation Legion; he was not as polite to Thorne as Deris was, ordering him after throwing the Annihilation Legion’s equipnt to him.

“Yes, yes, I know what you ca here for, but are you really sure you want to awaken that guy?” Thorne glanced at the Annihilation Legion’s heavy armor and black sword thrown at the doorstep of the prison.

With that equipnt, only one person within the Sustainable Sanctuary could be his enemy, and that person was not the grey-eyed.

But Thorne didn’t rush to start working; he did not intend to defy the Annihilation Legion’s will, he just wanted to confirm… was the Annihilation Legion really ready?

“What do you think, Eternal… We sacrificed the strength of an entire legion just for today,” the commander said.

“Your words are useless; bring your leader,” Thorne waved his hand helplessly, “I want to hear it from your leader himself whether you are ready.”

“Our… you’re just a down-and-out Eternal! You have no right to see the great Lord of Annihilation!” The commander of the Annihilation Legion thought he was very patient, but Thorne’s comnt successfully enraged him.

“So the answer is no? Perhaps I should ask the Saint Spirits on that side what they’ve decided,” Thorne said.

“The Saint Spirits?”

While the commander was still confused about where these Saint Spirits ca from…

“Fierce Dragon Breaking Air Slash!”

Caral burst out from the shadows in an instant, with Xue Bi relentlessly unleashing her awakening as an Ice Master behind him, turning the prison into a frozen hell.

This was a small squad of the Annihilation Legion; even with a commander present, they were still repelled by the forty-five player raid team led by Xue Bi.

In the end, Thorne sat in the prison that had beco a frozen hell… watching the gathering Saint Spirits.

“Hey, I’m here to save you.” Caral kicked down the prison wall and spoke to Thorne, who was still inside looking like he hadn’t woken up.

“Much later than I expected, you Holy Spirits wield the power to break all laws; every defense in the Sustainable Sanctuary should be like paper to you,” Thorne’s words put Caral into a rage.

It was just Thorne reaching out to catch the Longsword… thrown by the Fire Spirit beside him, which was ablaze with flas.

“So, the sa question, Holy Spirits… are you ready to face that guy?” Thorne’s gaze passed over the Holy Spirits and landed on Jiang Qiao, who was incarnated as a Fire Spirit.

There was no doubt that Jiang Qiao was on the sa level as the Lord of Annihilation.

“What are you talking about? Who is that guy? Gray Eyes? If it’s Gray Eyes, we’re not ready, give us another half a year to grind.” Jiang Qiao replied.

“Gray Eyes? That guy is just a pitiful insect dominated by power. Have Alma and you joined forces? Why hasn’t she told you?” Thorne asked with so confusion, prompting a more serious expression from Jiang Qiao.

Gray Eyes is just a pawn? Although Jiang Qiao had anticipated this, he didn’t expect Thorne to point it out so directly…

“The Holy Spirits are not ready, and we are not ready either, it’s just that we can’t let her continue… to assimilate the Sustainable Sanctuary any longer. Thorne, you should personally put an end to the karma you’ve sown.”

The projection of Governor Alma suddenly appeared in the prison, seemingly prepared for everything.

“I can’t end it, I don’t have the power. The Annihilation Legion might, and possibly the Holy Spirits too, it depends on whether they are willing to be the ssengers of peace for the star map,” Thorne said.

“Wait wait wait, what are you guys talking about? I want to know all the hidden plots within a minute!”

The team mbers from Xue Bi’s team saw Jiang Qiao, in his Fire Spirit state, directly intervening in the conversation, choosing this sowhat brusque option.

“Every Void Swarm has their Mother, and the Mother of the Swarm that has assimilated the entire Sustainable Sanctuary is slumbering at the core of the Sanctuary. She will awaken before long,” Governor Alma summarized the beginning of a brand new expansion pack in one sentence.

“Thickheaded Thorne, then why not let that thing continue sleeping?”

McCoffee stepped forward and shared his opinion, suggesting that if the Swarm Mother was so troubleso, they should just let her keep sleeping.

“She’s been absorbing the power of the Sanctuary even during her slumber. The sooner we awaken her, the weaker and more vulnerable she’ll be. Unfortunately… even if she awakens now, she’ll still be a tough enemy. Let think of an adjective,” Thorne scratched his stubbled chin and said, “The most dangerous disaster since the order of the star map appeared? This description seems fitting.”

“How long do we have to prepare?”

Jiang Qiao felt like he was just going about his daily routines, completing side quests, tending to an old lady’s garden one day, and taking on a ssenger task the next.

Suddenly, an NPC pops up and says, ‘Holy Spirits, you better do the main quest, or the world will end!’

Of course, Jiang Qiao’s response would be ‘No way! I’d rather stay in the newbie village killing chickens until the next generation of the ga cos out than do the main quest!’

But the experience in the Holy Spirits ga sucks, soone always forces players to trigger dangerous main quests, and ti is always running out.

“My suggestion is to wake her up first, then get prepared.” That was Thorne’s reply, “Of course, if you want to leave, nobody will stop you. After all, saving the star map is the duty of the Creator’s Sanctuary, not as a Devouring God of disaster.”

The latter part of Thorne’s sentence was obviously mocking Alma… now, under the protection of the extinction units, Alma was struggling to survive, even relying on the power of the Holy Spirits to contend with Gray Eyes.

How ironic for the organization that prides itself as the holiest on the star map.

“You… can you lift the… teleportation restriction on this map?” Nancy suddenly ca forward and inquired of Thorne.

Nancy was scared out of her wits by the war between the Annihilation Legion and the Sustainable Sanctuary, and she spent every night sleeping next to her baby, fearing what would happen to her child if the Annihilation Legion breached the reproductive center.

As long as her baby could return safely, Nancy was ready to fight anyone!

“Teleportation restriction? Did Gray Eyes open the Space-ti Locking device? Of course, I can… The place we need to go is the core of the Sanctuary!”

After Thorne’s response, Jiang Qiao felt that the number of choices he could make was probably running out.

After all, this expansion was bound to be released sooner or later; it’s just a matter of timing.
