Chapter 554: Chapter 533: Instance Strategy (2nd Update)

This was Bai Di’s first ti writing a ga strategy, a relatively ticulous person. To write this guide, he dragged Caral along for another visit to the Supervisors’ living area and caught a wild Supervisor for a test.

The test included how to enter the instance and the chanism for triggering “Power Trial,” a hidden instance. After pieceal testing and screenshotting, Bai Di realized that triggering his power surge and separating it didn’t require a conversation with Grey Eyes.

It only required holding the clump of grey mist here for about one to five minutes. Over ti, the mist would grow denser, and once it accumulated to a certain degree, it could summon a physical manifestation of the power within oneself.

During his fourth encounter with his power’s physical manifestation, the Thunder Beast, Bai Di didn’t fight to the death because he was there to write a strategy guide, not to defeat the Thunder Beast.

After exiting mid-way, Bai Di found that his gaming pod hadn’t sustained any damage, although the core part behind it was hot enough to fry chips.

“Twenty minutes, huh?” Bai Di recorded the twenty minutes he had been in combat with the Thunder Beast.

The Thunder Beast’s health remained a question mark, but during the battle, Bai Di clearly felt he had beco more proficient at controlling his own power.

After a series of tests, Bai Di began to write the strategy on the Spirit Forum, titled “Trigger Conditions and Rewards of the Spirit Hidden Instance ‘Power Trial'”.

It was a down-to-earth title, and Bai Di started by listing the prerequisites needed to enter the instance.

‘1. An NPC with Mind Invasion abilities X1, here recomnded species include Sea Demons, Heart Snatchers, Soul Eaters…’

Bai Di listed a plethora of species possibly possessing abilities like the Sea Demon God, information he had gleaned from Ayula, and even Magic Thieves could have this ability.

There were also ntal control classes within Spirit, but they were not nurous, and there weren’t any player abilities that could precisely invade another’s consciousness.

‘2. Log into the ga with a gaming pod, any model will do, this instance, for unknown reasons, puts a huge strain on the gaming pod, so it’s not recomnded to stay in the instance for more than half an hour.’

‘3. Accept a Path to Ascension Hunter-level or above boosting task.’

Bai Di detailed how to enter the instance in the latter section, which involves invading the consciousness world of a Hunter or a Supervisor of the Sustainable Sanctuary, then pinching the clump of grey mist in that consciousness world for about one to five minutes.

Having posted this lengthy strategy guide, Bai Di also prepared a Korean version. The Chinese version was translated with the help of a Chinese translator from the White Sword Team. Once he confird there were no oversights, he posted it directly to the Spirit Forum.

As soon as this post was published, it imdiately drew a large crowd of Spirit players.

‘Do you still need a gaming pod? Can it even damage the gaming pod? Can ordinary players really not play this hidden instance?’ Reply by: Lemon Fruit.

‘What do you an ordinary players can’t play it? Now, leveling up in Path to Ascension gets you a free gaming pod. Grind for half a month and you’ve got one. Can’t you afford it if you can’t grind for it?’ Reply by: Xi Tang.

‘But what if I can’t grind…’ Reply by: Turtle Turtle.

‘If you can’t grind, then don’t grind! It’s obviously a high-level instance intended for those who want to go further in the ga, big shots who take on challenges. Casual players just need to chat with Fureya while leveling up on Path to Ascension.’ Reply by: Fish Pond Free Swim.

These discussions were among casual and lifestyle players, and for so players who don’t really compete in the Spirit arena, just following a team to clear the Path to Ascension was enough to consider themselves graduated.

However, there were no shortage of hardcore and grinder players in Spirit, or perhaps it could be said… these were the true main body of players in Spirit.

“We still need to find an NPC that can do Mind Invasion… isn’t this too troubleso?” replied: Misty Rain Celebrating the Night.

“The troubleso thing is that after playing for a while, the gaming capsule could explode! By the way, why would the gaming capsules explode? Emperor Bai, could it be that this is why your club was burnt down?” replied: Cruel Moonlight.

“For every challenge of an instance, one gaming capsule gets burnt out, so nobody stop, keep pushing!” replied: Immortal in the Lake.

Emperor Bai’s guide ultimately had an extraordinary rallying effect, mainly because players who wanted to beco stronger had found a way to do so. Take the clubs for an example; in the next Spirit League competition, the major clubs surely didn’t want their players to be dominated by Zhao Mingwei and Caral again, at the very least they wanted to put up so fight.

Now Emperor Bai had shown them a clear path, one that was a bit risky, but at least it was an effective training thod.

Although this training thod was a bit costly on the gaming capsules.

Jiang Qiao, as the ga designer, of course also saw this post, and honestly speaking, the content of this strategy guide was sowhat beyond Jiang Qiao’s control.

The power of Gray Pupils that caused players’ strength to go out of control was definitely not sothing good… if players failed to challenge their rampaging power avatars in the world of consciousness, the most severe punishnt could be long periods of coma.

Thus, Jiang Qiao definitely did not recomnd this dangerous thod for players to control their own strength. The instances created by Jiang Qiao were comparatively gentler, like training with dummies in the training grounds, for example.

But… how to put it, as the race that loved courting death the most in the entire star map, it might have already been impossible for Jiang Qiao to stop players when this guide ca out.

So all Jiang Qiao could do was to help players more conveniently invade the consciousness world of Hunters and Overseers controlled by Gray Pupils.

Hunters might require players to clear the Path to Ascension before this option could be unlocked, as invading the consciousness world of NPCs was highly likely to harm them; Jiang Qiao needed an overseer.

This overseer was the Black Ash Knight.

“Am I unexpectedly skilled in this area?” The Black Ash Knight continued his usual habit of munching on pancakes in the instance dormitory. After finishing, the form of the knight, resembling a black coal ball, suddenly began to split, and soon over a dozen avatars of the Black Ash Knight appeared before Jiang Qiao.

These avatars transford into the images of the other five knights in the instance lord’s dormitory as well as the matron beside Jiang Qiao. After maintaining the appearance of the other knights for a few seconds, the Black Ash Knight reverted to his original form.

“The power I’m good at is invasion of the mind,” said the Black Ash Knight as he returned to his coal ball form, shifting his gaze to the matron standing next to Jiang Qiao. “If I work together with this Magic Thief’s matron, I can split into hundreds of thousands of avatars to monitor those reckless Spirits, there shouldn’t be a problem.”

Jiang Qiao glanced at the matron, who recently had been very comfortable, mainly because Black Tide Island was well-fed and not threatened by much… so after hesitating for a mont, she still nodded lightly in agreent to take on the mission.

Thus, from today on, the Path to Ascension added a whole new advanced instance and a guide to lead players into this special instance.
