Chapter 332: Chapter 322: The Matriarch (Fourth Update) Chapter 332: Chapter 322: The Matriarch (Fourth Update) In the deepest part of the lted Black Ruins.

Wenna dragged her broken body back to this place.

Given the current pace of the Holy Spirits’ raid, it would take at least five or six days to reach here.

Therefore, Wenna rested here for three whole days… and only a small portion of her wounds had healed.

Too many components within her had been destroyed by the Power of Devouring God, that it was incredibly difficult to recover bit by bit.

If it weren’t for the power of the Abyss and the residual Power of Devouring God within her, she would have died long ago.

As Wenna was quietly recuperating alone… the spore sacs on the wall behind her suddenly burst open, and along with a flood of nutrient fluid, the Magic Thief des was reborn in this mont once again.

“Cough cough cough… those damned Holy Spirits!”

des spat out the fluid in his mouth, voicing this sentence with a resentful tone.

“I suggest you hurry and restore your body to its original level,” Wenna, curled up in a corner, said to des who had just been ‘born.’

“What happened to you?” des found a piece of rag to drape over himself and looked at Wenna, curled up in a corner with scars all over her body. “I know you were heavily wounded in the battle with the Holy Spirits three days ago, but even if you managed to escape back here, it would be better to abandon this body and get a new one!”

After allying with the Abyss, the Magic Thieves on Black Ash Island uploaded their consciousness to the ‘hive’ of Black Ash Island, and each death to them was rely a change of body.

Wenna was so severely injured that it would be better for her to spend three to four days letting the Abyss recreate a new body for her, rather than waiting for the wounds on her old body to heal.

Although a new body would need so ti to grow to its forr level, it was far better than fighting with a body riddled with scars.

“This body is no longer mine,” Wenna said, looking at the lightning-shaped scars on her hands. “A descendent of the Devouring God saved …”

“So you are going to ‘offer’ this body to him?” des made a comnt… that instantly enraged Wenna to the point of smashing a stone shard onto his arm.

“This is the body I spent three years of mories to perfect! It hurts, you madman!” des yelled, clutching the bruised mark on his arm.

“This is a disgrace… I must kill that descendent of the Devouring God! Otherwise… be killed by that descendant of the Devouring God!” Wenna exclaid.

Just as des was about to tease her again, a figure suddenly erged from the wall of distorted flesh, and the mont des saw that figure, he imdiately knelt to the ground.

“What about the descendent of the Devouring God?” A gentle voice rose in everyone’s ears.

“Matriarch.” Wenna also knelt on the ground, all the Magic Thieves in this core area knelt before the young-looking and squinting female, except for one person… Denghis Xisi.

“Hey, Biland Islander! Kneel down!” des called to Denghis Xisi in a low voice.

“Your matriarch is a deity?”

Denghis Xisi looked at the female erging from the wall of flesh, sensing many complex auras emanating from her: gods, the Abyss, chaos, Devouring God… Yet the auras of gods and chaos were the most dominant.

“I stopped using the status of a deity many years ago, but now I’m one of the consciousnesses of Black Ash Island, so to you, I am a god.”

Her squinted pupils slightly widened as she glared at Denghis Xisi, in that instant, Denghis Xisi felt his knees as if they were injected with heavy lead.

But Denghis Xisi still managed to stand firm, even if his body was so heavy that his bones made a cracking sound, his knees did not bend in the slightest.

“Don’t you believe in ?” she asked.

“You…are rely…a being more powerful than . Why should you command ?”

Denghis Xisi had already sworn to himself that even if the world ca to an end, he would not pray to any god… because no one would answer him.

“Mistress…this newcor is a bit rebellious because he has just been born.” des’s hands were already forming frost, ready to freeze Denghis Xisi.

“We are all brethren; there’s no need to be so distant. I didn’t co here for you, Wenna…I’d like to have a look at the letter the Devouring God entrusted to you.”

The Mistress raised her hand to signal des not to get agitated, as she turned her gaze towards Wenna, who was also kneeling on the ground.

“A letter?” Wenna did not receive any letter since she returned from the ruins.

With a flick of the Mistress’s fingertips, a sphere of light flew out of Wenna’s body and turned into a paper letter as it landed in the Mistress’s hands.

“A challenge letter; this current Devouring God is really different from what I imagined,” the Mistress said, her face breaking into a sowhat pleased smile as she looked at the content of the letter.

“This current generation?” Wenna touched her own chest, not understanding how the sphere of light got inside her, and… are there generations for the Devouring God?

“I rember the Devouring God that killed the inhabitants of your original world was from the previous generation, right? Regarding the previous Devouring God, you might want to communicate with his followers.”

When the Mistress finished reading the letter, she extended her finger towards her side… There was already a middle-aged man standing beside the Mistress, shrouded in pitch-black armor, whom no one knew when had appeared.

“Who is he?” Wenna looked at the unfamiliar Black Knight, feeling an extrely ominous aura emanating from him.

“You may call him Black Ash,” the Mistress said.

Black Ash? Wenna felt she had heard this na before, but her mory was becoming sowhat hazy…

The price of having one’s body remade in the abyss was one’s mory. Wenna had lived for over three hundred years, and she could afford to lose a year or two of mories.

But as for the mories of the past, she only rembered the genocidal hatred by the Devouring God, but the specifics…

“From now on, they will be mbers of your squad. The Holy Spirits have sent us a challenge letter, and I just so happen to have so things I’d like to discuss with the new Devouring God.”

The Mistress spoke while taking small steps towards the exit of the ruins.

“Mistress, where are you going?” It was only then that Wenna realized that the Mistress was heading towards the exit of the lted Black Ruins.

“To the city of the Holy Spirits. The Holy Spirit who gave you this letter, Wenna, is it in the city of the Alliance of Gods, or… the Plane Pirates?” the Mistress asked.

Wenna had no right to remind the Mistress that the city occupied by the Holy Spirits was far too dangerous; all she could do was tell the Mistress what she wanted to know.

No, that’s not right… the Mistress should already know everything Wenna knew…

“They are in… the Pirate City,” Wenna said.

“Then let us head to the Pirate City to talk to those Holy Spirits, as a prelude to accepting their challenge,” the Mistress replied.

“Should we…bring the dragons?”

des hurriedly asked; the reason the Magic Thief could contend with the Holy Spirit army was that the main fighting force on Biland Island were those lord-level giant dragons, each capable of taking on a hundred.

“No need, no need, this ti we are only going to talk,” the Mistress’s voice was filled with anticipation.
