4th Zone, Special Base
The next morning,
Jeremy Night went to et Elder John. He asked around before finding the office building of the elders. It didn’t take long for him to reach the office building.
He walked into the room and ca to the front desk. There were staff here to help out. Jeremy Night asked the staff whether Elder John had co or not.
They told him that Elder John had arrived early. He then asked for the room number before going towards the room.
Elder John’s room was located on the first floor itself. He ca to the last room. The door was slightly open. He knocked on the door.
"Co in."
He heard the voice from inside. The next second, he opened the door and walked inside. He saw Elder John sitting behind the desk.
"Take your seat," he said.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night nodded his head and sat on the chair. Elder John saw through Jeremy Night. He found Jeremy Night’s aura stronger than before.
"It appears you didn’t waste ti. You had a breakthrough. Next, you have to catch up to others. The other newcors have done at least two missions in a week," John said with a smile.
Hearing that, Jeremy replied, "I will go to the mission desk right after the eting."
Elder John nodded his head. Then he said, "I have called you here for a different reason."
"Elder Sandra is impressed with your first mission. But she found out that you are not using your talent properly."
"She wants you to learn close combat techniques. Rather than you using the blade move," John said in a solemn tone.
Jeremy was taken aback. He didn’t expect them to know this much. He then explained his love for the blade skills.
John listened to Jeremy Night. Knowing that Jeremy had learned two blade skills, he was impressed. He didn’t want Jeremy Night to abandon the blade skills.
But he wanted Jeremy Night to do it so that no one could make an issue out of it.
"I can understand the reason. You have good comprehension. Learning close combat will help you when there is no blade," John said.
Jeremy sighed inwardly. In fact, he had already got the Star Fist move. But he didn’t tell him.
John saw Jeremy Night was quiet. He then opened the drawer and picked up a book. It was a close combat technique.
He placed the book on the table and moved it towards Jeremy Night.
Jeremy Night’s gaze fell on the book. He picked it up and began to go through it.
"I got it from the Human Alliance. This close combat attack and defense technique belongs to the late Tier-8 Beast Tar with the Supre Combat Body Talent."
"The predecessor created the technique himself. The technique uses the concept of vibration for attacks and defense. It doesn’t belong to any elent."
"Anyone with good talent can comprehend it. But most of the Beast Tars are not STRIKERS. They don’t fight in close combat."
"Now that you have the Supre Combat Body Talent, you can use the close combat technique," John said.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night didn’t raise a question. Because he liked the idea. The technique didn’t need elental talent.
He understood the concept of vibration as well. It was basically utilizing natural energy with the fist to vibrate before striking the enemy.
As this realization dawned on him, he decided to learn it.
"I’ll learn it," Jeremy said.
"Good, go and learn it. You don’t have to take a mission today. I think you can get started on the basics today," John said.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night thanked him. He then left the room.
10 minutes later,
He ca back to his room. He changed into his practice uniform. Then he began to study the close combat technique.
Ti passed,
He began to understand that it was a combination of fist and leg techniques. The moves and stances recorded in the book were simple.
The core idea of the book was to master vibration. By mastering the concept, you could use fist and leg moves however it suited you.
Jeremy Night was thrilled. He had already got the Star Fist move. This one, with a complete thod, was going to increase his survivability.
He then spent the rest of the day trying to figure it out. He used natural energy in the sa way ntioned in the book.
He covered his right hand with natural energy. Then he tried to vibrate his fist. It didn’t work at first. It appeared to be a simple move.
But it was not working at all. Then he stopped practicing and once again read the book. Then he found the missing link.
In order to use vibration, he needed perfect control of his body muscles. But he had never trained his body before.
His mouth twitched. He had thought it was easy. But it was not easy. He sat down and continued to read. Each ti, he figured out sothing new.
As he read further, he understood sothing: once you know how to use vibrations, you can change the frequency according to the types of attacks.
One hour later,
He put away the book. He ca to the middle of the room and closed his eyes. He began to feel his heartbeat rate. Slowly, he focused on his breathing as well.
He was trying to do both things at the sa ti. Then he used the thod ntioned in the book. He used natural energy to tense and relax the muscles.
It was not that easy. Since he understood the concept, he started using this exercise to train his muscles. Once he controlled his body, then he could use vibrations as he wished.
He already had a wild idea in his mind. Once he mastered the close combat thod, he would use starlight power in the moves.
He was sure that move would be similar to the Star Fist move. Then he continued to train. Elder John had given him one day to learn the basics.
But he was exercising to train his muscles. Anyway, he had decided to take a mission tomorrow.
