The tiger howled in pain as a large gash appeared on its side, but it didn't stop.

It swiped its claws, barely missing Fang Zixuan's shoulder.

"Impressive," Fang Zixuan remarked, evading another strike. "But not good enough."

"Dance of the Golden Phoenix!"

He blurred, his movents impossible to follow. In a flash, he was behind the beast, his sword raised.

"Soar Above the Heavens!"

His blade sliced cleanly through the tiger's neck, severing its head from its shoulders.

With a thud, the body crumpled to the ground.

A notification screen appeared in the air.

"Level 1-4: Completed."

Fang Zixuan nodded, his expression serious.

"I can't let my guard down. There are still many challenges to co. And all of this without any of my beasts, what a let down"

anwhile, Sun Yichen had been transported to a dense jungle. He gazed at the thick foliage, his senses alert.

"Where is it?" he muttered.

Suddenly, a rustling sound caught his attention, and he turned just in ti to see a giant serpent-like beast launching at him.

Its massive body was covered in red scales, and its fangs dripped with venom.

"Perfect," Sun Yichen smirked, unsheathing his sword.

The creature hissed, its eyes glowing with hostility.

"Let's see how tough you are," Sun Yichen challenged, his blade shining brightly.

The serpent attacked, its jaws wide open.

"Blazing Wave Slash!"

Sun Yichen unleashed a torrent of fire, enveloping the creature. It screeched as its scales burned, but it refused to back down.

"I admire your tenacity," Sun Yichen comnded, his blade gleaming with heat.

"But now, it's ti to end this."

"Searing Sun Blade!"

With a furious cry, he charged forward, his sword slicing through the air.

The creature let out a final cry as the flas consud it, leaving only ashes behind.

Sun Yichen straightened up, his expression satisfied.

"This should be enough," he said, activating the point-collection device.

"Level 1-4: Complete."

Scenes like this happened in all the private rooms as the 80 participants tried their best to climb the pagoda as soon as possible.

But due to the nonstop battle of earning 100 points and then this where you have to face of opponents who are getting stronger in both quality and quantity.

And on top of that, there are human sentinels placed in all the 9th levels on each floor, which makes it even harder as you need to exert yourself more during these kinds of fights compared to the ones with the wild beasts.

This has led the ti spent by each contestant on each floor to vary quite a lot, with those who have spent more energy during the earlier challenge to feel the effects now.

However, this was not a concern for the few who were speeding through the challenges, as even during the earlier challenge, they did not spend too much energy collecting all the points.

And they were able to rest during the long break period while waiting for the others to finish..

So even after speeding through the challenges, none of the top 10 was struggling too much.

In the stadium, the comntators were analyzing the competitors' performances.

"These young masters are truly impressive," one of the comntators remarked, her voice filled with admiration.

"Indeed," another agreed. "Their skill and strength are unmatched."

"What about the other competitors?" soone from the crowd asked.

"So of them are struggling a bit," a third comntator replied, his expression thoughtful. "But I'm sure they'll push through."

The crowd cheered, their excitent growing.

"It's really hard to keep track of all the battles," soone remarked, shaking his head.

"You said it," another person agreed. "I can't imagine how the judges are doing it."

"They're probably using so special technique," a third person suggested.

"Or maybe the pagoda is helping them," another added.

As the conversations continued, the competitors pushed through the challenges.

Fang Zixuan deflected a sword strike, his movents swift and graceful. His opponent was a nimble-footed assassin, his eyes burning with determination.

"Phantom Sword Strike!"

Fang Zixuan disappeared in a flash, reappearing behind the man.

"Too slow," he taunted, his blade slicing through the air.

His opponent fell, a fatal wound gushing blood.

The notification screen appeared.

"Level 2-6: Completed."

Fang Zixuan sighed.

"This is exhausting."

anwhile, Xu Feiyu found himself standing on a vast, open plain. The sun was shining brightly, and the air was warm.

"This looks peaceful," he remarked, his gaze sweeping across the area.

Suddenly, a low growl sounded from the distance, and a large horned beast appeared. There were more than one, their dark hide glistening in the sunlight.

"Oh, here we go," Xu Feiyu said, unsheathing his sword.

The creature let out a bellowing roar, its crimson eyes filled with ferocity.

"Bring it," Xu Feiyu challenged, his aura surging.

With a deafening roar, the beast charged, its hooves pounding the ground.

"Silver Moon Step!"

Xu Feiyu vanished, appearing directly in front of the creature.

"Piercing Moon Slash!"

His blade cut a deep gash in the beast's leg, causing it to stumble. But the other creatures were closing in, their snouts snorting angrily.

"Let's see how you deal with this," Xu Feiyu grinned.

"Celestial Twin Blades!"

His twin blades flashed, sending waves of light crashing into the advancing beasts.

They roared in pain as their bodies were sliced, their blood spilling onto the ground.

But Xu Feiyu wasn't finished.

"Heavenly Celestial Blade!"

His blade glowed, and he unleashed a powerful attack, his sword slicing through the air.

"Argh!"

"Rawr!"

The beasts cried out as the attack connected, their bodies falling limp.

Xu Feiyu's eyes narrowed, his expression focused.

"Let's see what's next," he murmured, stepping through the glowing portal.

Outside, the spectators were on the edge of their seats.

"That was amazing!"

"Did you see that? He took down those monsters in seconds!"

"I can't believe how strong those top 10 are..."

"They're making it look so easy," soone marveled.

Hearing this, all the nearby people also nodded as they could see how so of the challengers were struggling just to survive, but the top 10 were mowing down the beasts and moving up the floors.
