Nix originally didn't want to bother to fight a weakling, but as soon as he saw Sylvia wanting to see him fight, he imdiately stroked her head at Cain softly as if begging him to let him fight for Sylvia.
Sigh!
'When is it going to be my ti in fulfilling Anya's promise-I ant to take a rest before tonight's auction.'
Cain sighed and thought to himself.
He then glanced at Nix, who had already jumped down and snorted as he shook his wings, as if eager to show off his strength in front of Sylvia.
"Alright, just a quick match." Cain replied.
A vast ring was imdiately cleared, and the silver panther stepped into the ring first, its fur shimring under the sunlight.
Nix slowly decompressed his size until he reached around five ters, as he strode forward confidently, his scales were shining like polished obsidian.
Subsequently, the protective barrier was activated, enveloping the arena as they didn't want to be affected by the fight since most of them weren't even strong to begin with.
The crowd gathered, buzzing with excitent at the sight of the two majestic beasts facing off against each other.
When the match began, the panther charged forward, leaving a blur of speed as its speed was considered top notch within the sa rank.
Nix countered effortlessly as he dodged and parried the panther's attack.
He then flapped his wings once, sending a gust of wind that forced the panther to retreat.
The panther didn't back down as it zigzagged with incredible agility, finding an opening before attacking Nix. Its movents left afterimages that astonished the spectators.
Nix stood firm, his eyes glowing with a calm as he watched the panther's movent closely.
When the panther charged again, Nix raised his claw and t it mid-air, sending a shockwave through the arena when they collided.
Clang!
The panther twisted midair, using the recoil to flip and land elegantly.
It then opened its mouth, unleashing a piercing howl that sent glimring sound waves toward Nix.
Nix reacted instantly as he spread his wings and created a translucent barrier of wind that shattered the sound waves before they could reach him.
Nix counterattacked as he roared and created a few ice spikes before sending them to the panther, aiming to trap it.
Looking at the incoming attack, the panther leapt and twisted through the air, evading the spikes with incredible speed.
As it landed, its claws shimred, and a crescent-shaped blade of silver energy shot from its claws, slicing through the air and heading straight towards Nix.
Nix countered by using his [Ice Breath] skill, exhaling a beam of frosty breath and instantly freezing the energy blade mid-air before it shattered into harmless fragnts.
Noticing that his attack was being countered effortlessly, the panther growled and used its skill, creating a silvery fog that began to fill the ring.
"Big Brother Cain, I can't see the fight. Is Nix going to be okay?" Sylvia seed to be worried with Nix as she tugged Cain's clothes nervously.
anwhile, Ayla pouted unhappily since she couldn't see the fight and enjoy it.
Cain chuckled and patted Sylvia's head. "Don't worry."
Nix narrowed his eyes as he felt that his vision was restricted and imdiately flapped his wings, creating a chilly gust that dissipated the fog.
The mont when the fog dissipated, the panther leapt high into the air, its claws glowing with a silvery aura as it descended a spiraling dive, aiming to strike Nix's head.
Reacting swiftly, Nix roared back and used his [Ice Storm] skill, unleashing a storm of ice spikes swirling around him in a protective vortex.
The panther's claws t the icy whirlwind, and sparks flew as silver clashed with frost. Forced to retreat, the panther landed a few feet away, growling as its silver aura intensified.
It then used its own elental attack as a barrage of shimring silver orbs that streaked towards Nix like missiles.
Looking at the incoming attack, Nix flew into the sky before using his [Ice Breath] skill once again, freezing the orbs mid-air.
Nix imdiately dove sharply, intending to attack the panther as he felt that he was always the one who was being attacked. His claws were enveloped in a layer of ice as he used the [Ice Claw] skill and aid them at the panther.
The panther responded by enveloping its body with a reflective silver shield, bracing itself for the impact.
Nix's icy claws clashed against the shield, and the collision created a burst of cold and silver energy that sent shockwaves through the ring.
The crowd gasped as both beasts were montarily pushed back, but the panther was definitely pushed further than Nix.
Nix growled, his breath visible in the chilly air, and he imdiately beca a little bit serious as he ford a big ice spike above him.
The panther, who sensed the danger instantly, crouched low and channeled its energy into its legs before charging forwards in a burst of speed. At the last second, Nix sent the ice spike towards the panther.
With incredible agility, the panther twisted midair, avoiding a direct hit but not escaping it entirely as the ice spike grazed its flank, leaving a trail of frost in its body.
Landing awkwardly, the panther growled and prepared to use the remaining of its energy to make the last attack.
When he noticed that the panther was about to make a strong move, Cain raised a hand and said, "That's enough. There's no need to push further."
The middle-aged man nodded in agreent and showed an expression of admiration. "Nix is truly a strong dragon. It's been an honor."
Nix let out a satisfied growl as he walked back to Cain proudly.
Ayla and Sylvia imdiately ran up to him as they were both excited after watching Nix's fight.
"I knew that you would win, Nix!" Ayla exclaid as she jumped and hung on Nix's leg like a koala.
Sylvia nodded enthusiastically as she petted Nix's head. "That was amazing, Nix! I'm glad that you're fine."
After letting the two little girls play with Nix for a while, Cain instructed Nix to beco small again as he wanted to head towards the next destination.
They then strolled into the bustling marketplace, where stalls overflowed with goods from across regions.
Exotic silks shimred in the sunlight, enchanted trinkets humd with latent energy, and weapons glead with intricate runes.
Sylvia paused at a jewelry stall, her gaze fixated on a simple bracelet adorned with a small, glowing gemstone.
"Do you like it?" Cain asked.
Sylvia hesitated as he bit her lower lip before nodding shyly, thinking that it must be expensive since the price tag was 100 Peak Rank Lord crystals.
Cain imdiately tossed a space ring filled with exactly 100 Peak Rank Lord crystals at the shopkeeper.
After checking the contents inside the space ring, the shopkeeper then handed the bracelet to Cain with a smile.
Cain then placed the bracelet around Sylvia's wrist before patting her head. "If you want to buy anything, just say so. Don't worry about the money because I have enough to let you buy this entire market if you want."
"Thank you, Big Brother Cain!" Sylvia thanked him as she hugged him tightly.
Ayla, who was interested in sothing, instantly dragged Cain toward a stall selling dolls shaped like beasts. "I want that Ice bear!"
She pointed to a fluffy white bear with crystal-like accents.
Cain bought it without hesitation as he watched Ayla hug it with pure happiness.
Their journey continued, and they eventually found themselves outside a bustling restaurant, its wooden facade adorned with lanterns glowing softly with runic inscriptions.
The tantalizing aroma of roasted ats, spiced broths, and freshly baked bread wafted through the air.
Ayla's stomach growled audibly, and she held it with a grin.
"I guess it's ti to eat," Cain said with a chuckle. "Let's go in."
The interior of the restaurant was warm and inviting, filled with the chatter of the custors and the clinking of dishes.
A young man in traditional robes guided them to a cozy corner table near a window overlooking the lively street.
As they sat, Sylvia and Ayla marveled at the enchanted crystal chandeliers that bathed the room in a soft, golden glow.
After a while, a beautiful waitress in her late 20s arrived, presenting them with a nu etched onto a glowing slate.
Ayla's eyes widened at the sight of the options. "Look! They have Beast Tar Platters! What's that?"
Cain glanced at the description. "It's a mix of dishes inspired by the beasts tad in the region. Phoenix Fire Skewers, Thunder Wolf Noodles, and Ice Fang Soup."
"I want that!" Ayla exclaid, bouncing in her seat as she couldn't wait to try it.
" too, too!" Sylvia raised her hand as she was also curious because this was going to be her first ti eating outside.
She then added, pointing at a dish called the Starlight Feast. "This one sounds pretty, I also want this!"
"Let's order three of these and other dishes then." Cain placed the order.
Shortly after, the beautiful waitress brought over so of the food that Cain had ordered, transforming the table into a feast.
The Phoenix Fire glowed faintly, releasing a pleasant heat with each bite. The Thunder Wolf Noodles crackled with lightning-like sparks, and the Ice Fang Soup radiated refreshing chill.
Sylvia's starlight feast consisted of a glowing salad and a sweet, sparkling drink that tastes like stardust.
Naturally, what Cain had ordered wasn't dishes that were made from high rank beasts as he ordered these mainly for both little girls.
