"No! Ayla doesn't want to give my big brothers' face to you and ruin theirs! You already got two other people's faces, why do you need so many?!" Ayla exclaid as she replied hurriedly.
"SHUT UP!" Fairy i was pissed off and shouted, instantly silencing almost everyone's laughter except for so people in the VIP and VVIP rooms.
"Hahahaha!" Cain's laughter beca louder after almost everyone stopped laughing before explaining to Ayla. "Listen, Ayla, when soone says 'give face,' it can an a few things."
Everyone imdiately shifted their attention to hear this new young man's voice educating the little girl.
Even Fairy i also stopped when she heard it, as she thought that Cain wanted to educate Ayla first before apologizing to her because of Ayla's behavior.
Cain then continued with a smile as he raised a finger, "First, they're asking for a show of respect. Which ans that they want you to stop bidding further, allowing them to have the right to purchase the item without further competition."
Raising his second fingers, Cain added, "Secondly, they expect a courtesy based on status. Implying that they might be soone high-ranking in a powerful faction, or even soone with a strong power themselves."
Cain quickly followed up after he raised another finger, "The third and the last. They want you to avoid conflict or humiliation because publicly outbidding soone, especially if they've asked for consideration, could be seen as a challenge or disrespect, leading to future grudges."
Everyone nodded in agreent with Cain's answer, and even Fairy i herself beca a little bit better when she heard Cain was apparently educating this little girl.
After thinking about it for a few seconds while putting her fingers on her chin, Ayla nodded her head. "I understand it now."
"But Big Brother Cain, do we actually have to respect her?" Ayla asked with an innocent, curious expression.
"No!" Cain shook his head in response.
"Do we also need to stop bidding because of her status?" Ayla asked again.
"Nope!" Cain answered with a chuckle.
"Then, should I stop bidding so that we wouldn't have any conflict with her?" Ayla asked with a sad expression, as she thought that it was because of the third point, which Cain had explained to her, that she needed to stop bidding.
"Of course not!" Cain assured, smiling warmly at her. "If you really want that dress, go right ahead."
Ayla was imdiately overjoyed when she heard that Cain allowed her to continue bidding against soone that she honestly quite disliked because she rembered her as soone who had outbid her for the first ti before.
Everyone who wasn't afraid of Fairy i or her background instantly laughed once again when they heard Cain's last answer, as they thought that Cain would take a step back after explaining it to Ayla.
"You!" Fairy i gritted her teeth as veins bulged in her head while she clenched her fists so tightly that it made them bleed because she was really pissed this ti.
"Big Sister Auctioneer!" Ayla suddenly called out, eyes still fixed on the pink dress. She seed to ignore Fairy i entirely. "Why aren't you counting my latest bid? It's been a while now!"
The beautiful auctioneer was stunned for a second before imdiately responding with a smile, "This little miss from room VVIP-5 has bid for 260 thousand, is there any higher bid?"
"300 thousand!" Fairy i made a higher bid before asking Cain with a resentful voice. "Cain! Do you really not want to give any face? Let get this because I want to give it to my little sister."
"Do you think you're the only one that has a little sister? Don't you see that the one who bid is my little sister instead of ?" Cain replied with a chuckle.
"Do you not have a lot of money that you want soone to give you a face?" Ayla chid in, asking genuinely, as she didn't know her motive in asking people to give her face.
The hall was filled with people's laughter again when they heard Ayla's question.
"Good… Good!" Fairy i muttered furiously. "I won't forget this, either of you!"
"You're welco to rember us!" Cain replied nonchalantly as if he didn't care at all before glancing at Ayla. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go continue to bid."
"Oh, I was waiting for soone else to make a bid." Ayla answered, looking around as if waiting for the others to counterbid her.
"Hahaha… Little girl, you can continue to bid against her. I don't want to bid against a cute little girl like you." A girl's voice ca out of the room VVIP-2, declaring that she wouldn't continue bidding this ti.
"I will also take a step back since I don't want to bid against a little girl." A young man's voice rang out from the room VIP-9.
"Thank you," Ayla replied with a giggle. Then, recalling that only one contender remained, she imdiately pressed the competition. "300 thousand!"
"400 thousand!" Fairy i imdiately countered with a sneer. "Let's see who has deeper pockets, little girl."
When Ayla heard it, she panicked a little bit and looked at Garran. "Big Brother Garran, do you have more money than her?"
"Of course I do! Don't worry about money and just keep bidding until you win!" Garran replied with a smile, secretly feeling happy, and thought that it was definitely worth it following Cain around instead of boringly waiting like he did before.
"You fuckers!" Fairy i cursed, feeling enraged inside as she had been humiliated by this little girl and his big brothers a few tis.
However, unbeknownst to everyone, when Ayla ntioned Garran's na, the young man who was inside the VIP-9 room imdiately frowned and thought about it for a second before looking at an old man beside him. "Old Wu, can you discreetly confirm if it's that Garran?"
"I'm afraid not," Old Wu replied, shaking his head. "They'd notice the mont I tried probing." Enjoy exclusive content from My Virtual Library Empire
"Huh," the young man murmured, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Whoever is stuck with him, they sure drew the short straw this ti." He couldn't help but pity the target of Garran's interest, given his reputation.
