The following day, Daniel guided his Voidshadow sports car towards the designated coordinates of the Logistics and Support School.

The journey was a silent, swift glide through the impressive architecture of Astralis Academy’s Upper House.

He bypassed the main entrance and made his way to a quieter, more secluded part of the campus.

The air here was very different to the harsh atmosphere of the Combat Techniques School, carrying the earthy scent of alien soil and the sweet fragrance of countless exotic flowers.

This was the heart of Vice-Principal Yara Fairley’s domain.

He found the main administrative building tucked between a cluster of softly glowing lavender trees and a calm lake.

The atmosphere was one of calm, focused diligence.

Here, students were ticulously tending to gardens of rare dicinal herbs, analyzing the properties of strange crystal formations, or practicing intricate healing spells on training dummies designed to simulate complex injuries.

It was a place of creation and preservation.

At the Vice-Principal’s office, he was greeted not by Yara Fairley herself, but by a polite, efficient-looking senior student.

"Captain Vance," the student said with a respectful bow, his eyes holding a mixture of awe and professional calm.

An honor, sir!" the student stamred."Vice-Principal Fairley sends her deepest apologies.

She was called away on an urgent support mission to stabilize an unstable energy conduit in the lower sectors.

It seems one of the combat school’s sparring sessions got a little... enthusiastic... again."

He let out a weary sigh, a look of profound resignation on his face that suggested this was a common occurrence.

"However, she left these for you, with her complints."

He presented Daniel with a small, elegantly wrapped package. Inside, Daniel found two items.

The first was a collection of well-worn but clearly cherished books on Verge ecology, advanced first aid, and the psychology of social predators.

The second item, however, made him pause.

Inside a large, ornate cage, a falcon rested elegantly on a silver bar. Its feathers glowed with a glossy purple sheen that deepened to indigo in the light.

It was small, but its eyes were sharp, intelligent, and filled with a hint of wild energy.

It tilted its head, observing Daniel with a keen, appraising gaze. His Nexus Interface identified it instantly.

[Creature: Velaris Skyborne]

Potential: B-Rank

Note: Possesses a trace of a legendary Phoenix bloodline. Potential for evolution is significant if provided with compatible high-tier fire or wind elental essences.

"A pet," Daniel murmured, a slow smile spreading across his face.

A functional pet, designed for rapid, stealthy ssage delivery, a perfect scout to complent Nyx’s more direct, ground-based approach.

And with a Phoenix bloodline? His SSS-Rank [Soul Assimilation] talent practically vibrated with excitent at the future possibilities of feeding it a few choice fire-aspected souls.

"The Vice-Principal believed a scout of your caliber would appreciate a companion capable of navigating the skies," the senior student explained.

"Her note says it’s still young, and will require a contract to be ford."

Daniel’s eyes lit up. A functional, high-speed pet with hidden potential?

This was an excellent gift.

He approached the cage. The Velaris Skyborne didn’t seem afraid, only curious.

Daniel reached out, not with his hand, but with a thread of his will, offering a simple contract through his Hunter class abilities.

The bird seed to consider it for a mont, then let out a soft, lodic chirp of acceptance.

A faint light pulsed between them, and the familiar bond snapped into place.

[Familiar Bond Established!]

[New Familiar Acquired: Velaris Skyborne!]

[Please Assign Na.]

"Aether," Daniel decided instantly. The na felt right for a creature of the sky. "I’ll call you Aether."

He opened the cage, and Aether hopped onto his outstretched, gauntleted arm without hesitation, its claws surprisingly gentle.

It was a useful, practical addition to his growing arsenal.

Damiel spent the rest of his first week at Astralis Academy in a state of quiet, focused consolidation.

His life settled into a strange, almost dostic rhythm.

He would wake, enjoy a breakfast that was far too luxurious for a recruit, and then spend his days either poring over the strategic texts from the Command School, practicing the deadly forms of his new S-Grade [Dance of the Trident Assault] in the villa’s reinforced training room, or exploring the vast campus in his Voidshadow, Aether occasionally circling high above, a silent purple streak against the artificial sky.

It was a fruitful period of imnse growth.

He had acquired a sprawling villa, a ridiculously fast car, an S-grade assassination art, a full A-rank equipnt set in the form of the Widow’s Myth, and now, a useful B-rank pet with legendary potential.

That evening, back at the villa, the atmosphere was one of quiet contentnt.

The week of structured training and luxurious living had been a welco respite for all of them.

They shared a lavish dinner prepared by the auto-chef, the three won complaining playfully about their exhausting schedules while Daniel listened with amused detachnt.

"You’re lucky, Vance," Ayra grumbled, tearing into a large steak with her bare hands.

"You get to sleep in and read books while I’m getting used as a punching bag by Travis Standen’s elite guard.

He says it’s for ’tempering my defenses.’ I think he just enjoys the sound of my bones resetting."

Lia sighed, sipping her herbal tea. "The Command School’s simulations are ntally draining.

Today, we had to manage the logistics of a planetary evacuation during a simultaneous invasion by psychic space squids. It was... stressful."

Olenna, who had been quietly observing, chid in. "My strategic wargas are no less demanding. But," she added with a sly wink at Daniel, "the rewards are substantial."

"Well, enjoy the peace while it lasts," Ayra said, turning a serious gaze to Daniel.

"Your special training with the Principal starts tomorrow. I’ve heard stories about his sessions.

They say he doesn’t train you, he breaks you down to your base components and rebuilds you from scratch.

Be careful, Vance. The old man is a legend for a reason."

Daniel just smiled. "I’m looking forward to it."

Later that night, the villa was quiet. Daniel, feeling a familiar stirring of desire and companionship, decided to pay Olenna a visit.

Their arrangent, forged in deception and sealed by a soul contract, had blossod into a comfortable and intensely passionate affair.

He made his way silently through the darkened corridors of the villa, his A-Grade [Voidwalk] making him a whisper in the shadows.

He reached her designated room. The door was half-open, unlocked. He smiled. She must be expecting him.

He stepped inside and slipped out of his clothes, leaving his clothes in a neat pile by the door.

The room was dark, lit only by the soft twin-moon glow through the large window.

He could hear the soft, even sound of breathing from the large bed.

He moved to the bedside, his heart pounding with a familiar, pleasant anticipation.

He slid under the soft, cool sheets, his body seeking the familiar warmth of his secret partner.

He leaned down, his lips finding the soft, warm skin of a bare shoulder, his hands sliding under the covers to embrace the sleeping form.

The person in the bed sighed softly, a sleepy, contented sound, and shifted, turning into his embrace.

He began to get intimate, his touch confident and familiar, his mind filled with the image of Olenna’s sharp, intelligent eyes and her sly, knowing smile.

This was going to be a good night.
