His eyes scanned through the battlefield, matter with flesh and bones, with the sickening sll of blood that clogged his nose.

’None left,’ Drake thought. And to confirm himself once again he stared at the system notification.

{Slay all 26 wolves}

{Reward 2 to dragon core}

{Mission successfully accomplished}

{Your stats have Increased}

{Na your dragon}

"..."

’This is surprising,’ Drake furrowed his eyes as this felt a little stranger than usual. It was as though his body was slowly changing, transforming into sothing he was barely familiar with.

"This is the effect of the dragon core increase, I guess." That was the best assumption he had at the mont.

Drake prepared to summon the interface when he heard a low distinctive growl from behind.

Turning around his gaze, he was t with large narrow slit pupils, shimring purple light in its gaze, the dragon stared at him with an eerie calmness.

With a subtle growl it nudged its nose at Drake’s chest making him stagger back a little.

The form of the dragon seed especially terrifying, maybe to others if it was seen, but to Drake, he felt a strange connection to it.

One that felt like a father staring at a child. And for that reason he had an undefined familiarity with it.

Raising a hand he placed it on the side of the dragon’s face. It was rough, jagged as though a tallic armour, thick and sturdy. It was warm and sowhat surreal.

"Wow," Drake smiled in amazent. "So this is what a dragon seems like."

The dragon growled in response to his words, hot air showering over Drake’s entire being and it felt sowhat—comforting.

{Na the dragon}

The interface stated, stunning Drake for a re second. This was another confusing part of his system. ’I have read about multiple summoners in my ti, but even with the little information I have, I have never heard about naming one’s summon.’

After reminiscing on it for a short while, he decided to keep a ntal note of it, to tell the Headmaster when he returned back from the hunt.

Now there was the thought of a na?

This Drake thought hard for.

I have never thought of having children or pets, so what should I na him?

His eyes trailed all around the tunnels as though finding an object to na his summon after.

Nothing the tunnel gave could be perceived as not being cringe.

"..." He sighed.

"What about Kyvern?"

The dragon snarled at his reply, nodding its head as though understanding his words.

{First summon: Kyvern}

After the notification appeared the Dragon—Kyvern shuddered, its body imdiately falling apart till it beca dark smoke, and then dissipated to nothing.

Drake nodded, now that he was done with that, he went to the next thing on his agenda.

He summoned the interface:

{Stats}

Na: Drake Drakon

Rank: SSS Rank

Talent: Dragon Necromancy

Level: 1

Soul core: 26/20 {LEVEL UP REQUEST}

{Talent Description: Only the dead can control the dead.}

*You can summon dragons to beco your anchor to the underworld.

{Number of dragons: 1}

{Army: none} REQUEST.

{Draconic Body: 3}

{Evolution: none}

Drake narrowed his gaze, scanning through every information displayed there. For one it was hard to see changes that had occurred as everything was simply squeezed into a single holographic board.

Still... It was a Blue hologram and the changes were coloured red making it easy to be found.

One thing that had changed was his number of soul cores.

Soul core: 26/20 {LEVEL UP REQUEST}

"I gained a soul core per each enemy I killed, exceeding the amount my core can take, so that happening actually leads to a level up request," Drake raised his hand and tapped on the request, accepting it.

Imdiately he felt another shift in his body, slight but one he couldn’t miss.

{Level 2}

A smile appeared on his face again. "Level 2 from just one battle. I don’t know whether to count myself extrely lucky or not."

Going to the next part of the interface, Drake froze for a second longer than usual. This was a question that had been bothering him ever since he first saw his stats.

{Army: none} REQUEST.

The fact that he had a number of dragons and army? Weren’t they the sa thing, of did the system an sothing else.

Drake could feel his head begin to pang from the thought of it.

"The more I think about it the more I beco confused about it—"

Right now Drake decided to leave all the information he had no idea about till later. Reluctantly he tapped on the request and waited for sothing to happen...

Eagerly waiting, for a sign or answer that might just clarify his thoughts about it.

However, one thing Drake was sure of in all the ti he lived, was nothing in life ca so easy.

{Failed}

Just as expected.

Drake sighed in frustration, "Fucking piece of trash interface, it didn’t even give a description of how to use the skill—"

He shrugged then turned to the corpses of the wolves all around. Dungeon beasts contained cores within their bodies, which could be cultivated to get stronger without fighting by absorbing their arcane.

Or preferably it was sold...

At tis like this Drake wished he had others with him to help, especially in carving up these many wolves for their cores, nonetheless, thinking would not solve the issue that he was alone in a massive low-rank Dungeon.

"I better get to work."

Walking up to the first wolf closest to him with his mighty blade in hand, Drake paused before reaching it, he could not help but feel a surreal knot in his chest every since he had finished off the last of the wolves.

It was a feeling that he was still growing accustod to; an instinctive tug his awakened body gave to his mind. He had co to recognize this feeling as one of—impending danger.

’And sothing fomd him it was sowhere close... Very close.’
