The atmosphere in the hall seed to hold its breath as Ethan stepped forward.

The whispers of the crowd quieted, anticipation building in the air like an invisible pressure.

All eyes were on him, and the weight of the world seed to hang on his shoulders. He wasn't just any participant—he was the son of Gareth Drakethorne, the scion of one of the most powerful families in the realm.

His awakening would be watched by more eyes than any other, and the expectations were nothing short of monuntal.

With a calmness that belied the storm of thoughts swirling inside him, Ethan approached the Labyrinth Rune Stone. His steps were asured, deliberate, as if each one reverberated with his presence alone. The stone stood before him, glowing faintly with the light of countless past awakenings. He could feel the imnse power contained within it, and yet, he was unbothered. Talents ca and went, but true strength—true power—was what mattered.

Ethan paused for a mont, the bright light from the runs stone that shone straight to the sky shone on his face, he took a second to get used to it.

his eyes lingering on the swirling energy of the stone before turning his gaze inward. His connection to the system, to his own powers, was sothing few could understand. Fate-breaker was his true skill, the one he'd awakened before he even arrived in this world. But what would he awaken now? Would he actually awaken a skill?...

These thoughts swirled in his head making him hesitate for a second, but this action was left unnoticed by the thousands of gazes on him.

Sighing, then without hesitation, Ethan drew a small, silver blade from his waist and carefully sliced his thumb. The crimson drop of blood was dark and rich with vitality, pulsing with life as he held it over the stone. He then allowed it to drop on the ruin stone, The mont it touched the surface, the rune stone trembled lightly, only Ethan and the attendant beside him noticed it, but they didn't react, both of them, and the crowd behind them were holding their breath waiting for sothing far more significant.

The Labyrinth Rune Stone reacted violently, its glow intensifying, swirling like a storm contained within the confines of the stone. The light turned from its usual deep erald to sothing darker—shifting hues of violet and silver. The energy shot up, spiraling into the sky above, coiling like a serpent, then crashing down like a tidal wave of power. A strange, unsettling aura enveloped the hall.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat. He had never felt anything like this before. His eyes widened, and for the first ti, a sense of uncertainty gripped him, fleeting though it was. What was happening? Was this the skill he had been expecting—or sothing else entirely?

The system window flickered into existence above him, its words slowly forming as if written by an invisible hand.

The words hung in the air, their aning cryptic, their impact profound. Ethan's breath caught in his throat as he read the description. Unfated Scion. That was not a na he had ever heard before. A surge of emotion filled him—shock, excitent, but also disbelief. He had only expected to awaken his Fate-breaker talent, perhaps with a few minor adjustnts, but this... this was different. A second skill. Unfated Scion.

His mind raced.

'Was it possible for one to awaken two skills? '

He had never heard of it before. The idea of carrying two skills that were bound to fate—one to break it and the other to defy it—was enough to send a chill down his spine.

He had co prepared for his first skill, for the inevitable conclusion that his Fate-breaker talent would manifest in this world just as it had back on Earth. But this... Unfated Scion? This was unexpected.

As the realization sank in, the attendant approached, her voice cutting through the tension.

"Ethan Drakethorne has awakened the S-Rank talent: Unfated Scion!" The words echoed through the hall, carrying with them a weight of disbelief and awe.

The reactions were instant, the crowd erupting into murmurs. For a brief mont, the atmosphere in the room felt as if it had frozen, then the hushed whispers began.

"Unfated Scoin?... That's... that's unheard of. A weird na for a skill, shouldn't it be more direct?"

"Unfated Scion? What does that even an? It's not like any talent I've heard of before."

So murmurs were laced with awe, while others carried a trace of doubt. There were those who feared the unknown power Ethan now wielded. Support-type? Offensive? No one could tell.

His skill's na was not straight forward like the skills of those before him, so most accepted it with mixed feelings, but it was an undeniable fact that his talent is S-Rank, that was the real deal, so many were jealous of him.

His father's reputation—his own reputation—hung in the balance. They had all expected a talent of imnse power, perhaps one that could shape the future of the Labyrinth.

But what if it was a talent that, while impressive, wasn't quite the direct strength that is more preferable? A support-type, even if it was S-Rank, would not impress the academy officials as much as they might have liked.

And yet, Ethan was Gareth Drakethorne's son. No matter the murmurs, no matter the speculation, he could not be dismissed. Not here. Not now.

'It turns out, what the system showed previously was actually shown on the rune stone also. My heart skipped a bit, I thought the attendant beside read my system panel that would have been bad'

As he thought this, Ethan's gaze remained cold and confident on the surface, His father's na ant nothing to him in this mont—his own strength, however, was another matter.

With his two powerful talents now in hand, there was no doubt in his mind, no one can determine his destiny.

He gave a single nod, his expression unreadable, before turning and walking calmly to his seat. The murmurs of the crowd followed him, but they could not touch him.

The room seed to quiet once more as the next na was called. But Ethan's mind was already far ahead.
