Ron’s moves were precise and ruthless, with a lot of variety between them. I couldn’t help but admire his fighting style. If I were able to pull off sothing like that in my future fight, that would be even better than burning the enemy with hellfire.

Boom!

Suddenly, a blinding golden burst between our fight, paralysing Ron for a second. How could I let such a golden opportunity slide? As I raise claws, burning with hellfire, slashing right on Ron’s chest.

Splash!

Bright red flooded out from his body, his feet trapped under the ground. I raised my hands to hit his face, but he was way too fast for . The ground holding his feet instantly shattered.

He again began throwing his deadly fist at . Again, another golden orb bursts right between us. Emi was doing her work even better than I expected. I wasn’t hoping for her to provide any assistance between battles, yet she was doing a great job.

Maybe I could have her in my team after I get a better understanding of what kind of danger this world holds.

The opportunity she was creating for wasn’t going waste. I was using every single extra second she gave to deliver devastating blows on this mf. My hellfire was already burning his chest; he might have top-tier defence, but the hellfire can continue to damage him in the long run.

I was very clear with my revenge, after taking a clear note of my mana points, which had been depleting at a quite horrifying pace.

[Mana: 1245/4200]

The healing was costing a lot of mana, but it was also the reason I was able to fight with him till now. He was clearly stronger and faster than . Unfortunately, my system didn’t have that spectator panel to check everyone’s stats.

I even doubt that this mf had used that ritual for his own ascension into the Sacred Rank. There were just too many possibilities; I didn’t want to waste my ti thinking about them.

I would take my leave with Emi once my Mana Points hit the 500. I didn’t plan on taking a risk for so petty revenge.

While I was getting beaten by Ron, Emi’s light elent was really showing its power. Every ti she threw light, it could paralyse him for a second, giving enough ti to hit him hard.

But of course, this type of cheap fighting style wasn’t sothing praiseworthy; it was rather shaful. Especially for soone like .

"How long are we going to continue like this?" Emi was also getting annoyed by this aningless fight, where clearly, we weren’t winning.

"Okay, this last punch, we will head back."

Bang!

I gave him one last punch straight on his face, before throwing his ring back to him. I activate the Eyes of Void, leaving his sight.

The reason I returned his ring was simple: I couldn’t let the Kaelvorn Family find out about my location. At least, not till I am strong enough to suppress these great families.

We spread our wings together, ready to fly away from this place. When I spotted the ring that I had returned to Ron had expanded in size and was now wrapped around his waist, locking both of his hands together.

He was trying to struggle, but couldn’t really break the ring off. Standing in once, his teeth were clenched, his feet shattering the ground. He was using all his strength to break off this obsidian black ring. Yet, after all that struggle, he could do nothing about it, as the ring remained firm, keeping his arms in place.

"Didn’t this ring belong to him? Why is catching him now?"

Emi was wondering as she saw this strange sight.

"How would I know?" I seriously wondered what the hell was going on here; everything was just too complicated.

We were talking about the Overlord Grade Demon. I killed one shapeshifter and that demoness, and neither of them appeared to be Overlord Grade. Even the shadow dealt by Ron didn’t look like sothing horrifying at Overlord Grade. There can also be the case that I was just expecting too much from an Overlord monster, but still, three gate clans had only seen 4 Overlord Grade Demons, yet they couldn’t even fight them.

I highly doubt the existence of the Overlord Grade Demon Ron ntioned. Either he delivered the wrong information to us, or there was actually an Overlord Grade monster hidden there.

Obviously, I am not going to find out the truth. I adhere to the old saying that curiosity kills the cat. I will take Emi and fly away as simply as that. We were already hundreds of tres away from the mountain top. All we needed to do was continue flying, while keeping our curiosity in check.

"Aoo... au... aao..."

Suddenly, I heard a strange kind of srising voice; it was unusually pleasing to hear. It was like... like... I was listening to so opera.

It was calling for . I stopped in my track to look behind. As I did so, my eyes t with Emi. She was also looking behind. But there was no one on the mountain top, but this song was coming from there.

"This... I have heard it before..." Emi murmured.

Reminding of that stormy night, when she had heard that opera music coming from the woods. And in day ti, I follow that path, all of this happened.

It felt wrong... insanely wrong.

Shiver ran down my entire body as I felt how dangerous our situation could be. I didn’t even dare to think about it, if it were to be true, wouldn’t that an all of the show off I did was just performing for soone else?

I quickly opened the system to check on my stats and if Emi was really connected with the Strings of Love or not.

Luckily, I was able to access her stats and all my talents. The things still hadn’t turned for the worse yet.

"Aoo... au... aao..."

While I was calming my heart, I saw Emi deactivating her Void Eyes, leaving the world of strings, and going into reality.
