The understanding of the word appeared to him in a flash, and Reith was instantly imrsed in darkness.

A flash of bright light appeared before him, and it looked like he was standing right in front of space.

The blue galaxy seed to envelop his very being, and the stars sparkled vividly.

It seed like the very earth had exploded.

"What... What’s happening?" Reith raised his hand to his face, his mind slowing down the process of the scenery he was currently watching.

It was like he had been taken to the beginning of the world’s creation.

He couldn’t even feel his own body. It was like he was floating in a certain coolness, and his breathing had slowed.

It was so surreal.

A feeling he had never felt before. He didn’t even know if it was possible. There was no writing of this kind of experience anywhere. It was like soone had taken his hand and was moving him across the whole scenario.

He could see the dark and empty void, but there was a warmth threatening to consu him from within.

"Simply beautiful." The words escaped Reith’s lips even when he couldn’t pinpoint the reason he had said it.

He was floating in a void, and below him was sothing like a dark liquid.

"Water?" he murmured to himself.

Bringing his fingers down, he touched the liquid, shivering at the cold feel.

What was his cultivation path doing by showing all this?

Was this part of the experience?

Just as he was lost in thought, light exploded from the middle of the void. A light that perated every single part of the place.

It was then a realization burst in the middle of Reith’s head.

"There should be nothing like darkness," he said, watching the light consu every hint of coldness, and warmth surrounded the place.

"There is only light. There should be only good. Evil manifests when good is absent just as darkness shows when light is gone."

The sa word appeared in his head with a flash, and light shot out from his hana core. The core seed to increase in size.

Lightning spread through every area, and Reith sucked in a breath.

"Did darkness exist in this world simply because there was no light?"

His mind moved again, and Bandar’s figure appeared in his mind’s eye.

To him, Bandar was plain evil. Everything he did was evil.

It seed like ti had paused because Reith had only ever thought of Bandar in different light.

Now it felt like sothing else was different.

"Did Bandar act evil because there was no good in his life?" Reith frowned. But there shouldn’t be an excuse.

Then he paused. Everything else ca to a stop. It felt like the world he was currently in moved according to his feelings.

A wave of sadness hit him, and his eyes teared up.

The only reason why he had not gone down the dark path was because Reisa had been the light in his life.

Were there truly people who had no light in their life?

It was saddening.

"So it’s not his fault?" Reith looked ahead, his gaze lost into the void.

It wasn’t like that. These people were responsible for their actions, but sotis, what if they were not strong enough to control themselves, and doing evil was the only way they could let it out?

Reith tried to wrap his head around a lot of things, but it seed like a crack appeared in his brain.

"You have a greater purpose, Reith." A voice echoed in the void.

This wasn’t Ruach.

This was a familiar yet unfamiliar presence.

A presence that seed to weigh on his chest, yet it felt so reassuring.

"A greater purpose?" Reith repeated, unable to fathom the aning of the sentence.

Suddenly, everything vanished, and Reith opened his eyes.

He was back in his room, and then he quickly looked down.

There was a clear word on the page containing so many unreadable strokes.

"Light."

Reith looked at it. This was the word that had caused him to have that vision.

And no matter how he looked at it, it seed like he was not going to return.

"My head." Reith groaned as dull pain invaded his skull.

There was no way what had just happened was real, but he had felt every part of it.

He was mainly speechless.

Suddenly, Reith burst into laughter.

One that ca from the deepest part of his conscience. One that was fueled by anger and confusion. Even when he hated to admit it, there was fear in him.

"Ruach. I am not the right person for this," Reith said with a frown.

There was no way.

He knew the orphanage had trained him to serve God, but this was sothing else.

A greater purpose? It felt like a death trap.

However, his words were t with silence.

"Ruach!" Reith yelled out, but there was still no response, just an increasing feeling of warmth in his chest. Suddenly, he felt like Reisa was in the room with him.

The mories of her hugs and pats appeared in his head.

"No! My goal is to save Reisa. I’m not interested in a greater purpose, Ruach. I just want to save Reisa and go back to the orphanage. That’s the only reason I am working so hard," Reith said.

When he got no response, he slamd the book on the floor.

This was not the plan. He knew what he had gone through in that lucid vision.

Sothing told him that he would sacrifice more than his life.

A life he wanted to spend with Reisa? Sacrifice it?

It wasn’t possible.

"Ruach. I didn’t ask for this. I’m the wrong person," Reith said, pacing in his room.

"When I am done bringing Reisa back, you can take your talent grade, your cultivation path, and even your power," Reith hissed.

If he had to take great responsibilities, then he didn’t want the power anymore!

After he had ranted, releasing the pent-up energy in his body, he laid on his bed.

This wasn’t his plan.

At that mont, his phone rang.

Letting out a deep sigh, Reith picked up the phone.

"Hello."

Before he could even think of the next response, a loud voice shot from the other side of the call.

It was Max.

"School boy! Where are you? You are thirty minutes late. We are about to leave and—"

Reith shot up from his bed imdiately.

"Oh! I’m so sorry. I’m on my way!" Without waiting for Max’s response, Reith ended the call.

He moved to grab the bag he had already packed.

It was before dawn, and a young boy could be seen climbing the fence of the school.

He softly landed on the ground with his large backpack and began to run.

Max would definitely skin him alive for being late!
