The constellation of sloth ability had a very interesting function, increasing a person’s talent in a certain aspect.
A talent that made learning sothing much easier.
Thanks to that Lloyd beca an expert with his spiritual affinity, since thanks to the talent star and several months of training Lloyd had managed to master spiritual arts at a very advanced level.
The sa happened with the Sword of Belphegor, he had mastered it faster thanks to that ability.
Now, having experience with spiritual arts, Lloyd could start training his ice magic quite easily.
He had trained it to the level of being able to create complex figures.
However if he wanted to improve even more, investing in the constellation of sloth wasn’t a bad idea.
Lloyd used a yellow-colored talent star on his magical talent, and the change was noticed imdiately.
His mind molded ice naturally, as if he had always known how to sculpt it.
"Not bad," the young man comnted while making an ice lotus flower float in the palm of his hand.
The ice had been sculpted with great precision, it looked like a complete work of art.
However it wasn’t enough.
Compared to Siegfried, his mastery was quite poor.
The technique the latter used to directly create and manipulate magical ice particles was incredible, though Lloyd lacked a lot of practice to reach that level.
"Maybe I could start by creating a kind of ’ice sand,’" the boy said to himself, while reflecting.
Suddenly, the lotus flower began to "disintegrate" into small particles, into "ice dust."
Lloyd began to form a cloud of ice particles that started to float in front of him.
It wasn’t so difficult if he focused on the entire mass of ice particles before directly manipulating each small grain of ice dust.
"Well, I don’t control it at Siegfried’s level but for now it can work," the boy said to himself. "Now let’s test so uses."
Lloyd concentrated, he began to control the mass of ice dust making it spin and stretch, forming a drill of ice particles.
At first it spun at a moderate speed, but as it spun faster and faster, it reached imnse speed.
"Take this!" the raven-haired boy then exclaid as the ice drill shot out.
The ice dust drill accelerated at great speed toward a tree, upon colliding with it it managed to drill partway through the bark however the particles dispersed until the drill dissolved.
Lloyd let out a disappointed sigh.
"I see, I suppose that’s what you get from using ’dust,’" the boy comnted.
Lloyd had co to the conclusion that "dust" tended to disperse, and he should also focus on creating pressure in the form he desired so dispersion wouldn’t occur.
However, it was easier thought than done.
"Mmm, maybe I could use it in a different way," the young man said to himself, as an idea occurred to him.
He could use those "ice grains" to introduce them into soone’s lungs and make them explode or tear them from the inside.
"It’s an interesting idea, though it will be difficult for if they have too powerful an aura or Touki," the boy said to himself, after all touki protected from any phenonon and aura could also serve as a protective barrier.
Even using good strategies Lloyd needed attack power if he didn’t want to suffer again in a fight like when he fought against Siegfried.
Since the idea of immolating himself to attack didn’t appeal to him, Lloyd thought about looking for sothing else.
"Without doubt the most powerful attack I have are the primordial flas," the boy said to himself.
It was true, those flas were extrely powerful, he knew it.
"But they’re useless if every ti I use them I’m out of combat for a month," the young mber of the Kaitos family added.
It was true, while he had been bedridden for other reasons besides using the primordial flas, it was undeniable that using them was dangerous.
And that didn’t only happen with that attack, there were more attacks he knew he couldn’t use like in the trial, since he would run mortal danger.
"Obviously using radioactive minerals isn’t an option," the jade-green-eyed young man comnted.
Lloyd got a chill rembering the death he experienced from being exposed to radiation, without doubt it was an experience he didn’t want to repeat.
"And creating natural lightning is too convoluted," the young man said to himself.
After all, the only reason he managed to conjure a cloud in Siegfried’s trial is that he had ti to create the ideal conditions for a stormy climate to be created.
Creating a climatological phenonon of that magnitude would not only cost too much energy but also needed ti.
"Tch, the rest of my attacks aren’t so powerful," the boy sighed in defeat.
The most powerful thing he had managed to do apart from what was ntioned before, were the white flas.
However while tallic fire was impressive, it was only so monstrous in Siegfried’s trial because of the quantity of magical ice particles in the environnt.
So while Lloyd had multiple techniques and was very versatile, he still had several deficiencies when it ca to brute power.
If he couldn’t use suicidal attacks or ones that required ti, Lloyd beca much less powerful.
If he faced a powerful aura user, or monster with iron defense, he couldn’t do much.
Of course, the Sword of Belphegor was a very useful tool considering that, since it was a style practically made to solve that power difference.
Weak attacks that executed massive damage, the ability to move while exerting barely any effort.
That was the Sword of Belphegor.
But he also didn’t have sufficient mastery to be able to face strong swordsn.
"Mmm, maybe I should have invested more in the Sword of Belphegor than in magic," Lloyd thought aloud, sowhat regretful of how he had used his stars.
The boy was in a dilemma, however, in an instant, a new idea erged in his mind.
A brilliant idea.
"That’s it! I know where to start..."
