"Once upon a ti, a duchess fair and bright,

fell for her rival’s son with all her might.

Her love could not be stopped, try as she may,

but cruel fate soon discovered their secret way."

"The fruit of that love, two princesses sweet,

cruel destiny tore apart, bittersweet.

And the young one, with hair of strawberry red,

to a prince by her father she was wed."

"And the prince? Does he treat her with respect?

I think not, with her body he did experint..."

"Yes, I know that story Clentine, rember I was the one who brought you into the group, right?" Katerina responded.

She was crouching, beside the crazy woman who for so reason, kept singing even when her body was cut.

"But I’m not going to pity you, you know?" she continued while rummaging in her bag taking out a vial with a thick liquid inside. "I don’t even consider you human, besides, even Skull who I disliked used it. Why wouldn’t I sacrifice you?"

"Rose, Anastasia... My little ones..."

The woman’s voice broke, though she only received a look of disgust from Katerina.

She covered herself with her cloak becoming imperceptible.

The red veil, an artifact that creates a cloak of invisibility and imperceptibility around those who are dressed in the sa red as the original cloak.

The vial fell on Katerina, releasing the substance that filtered through her armor, as if it had a life of its own.

That would be enough to finish them off.

Void... An imnse liquid void.

Lloyd felt subrged in that.

He had no mouth, nose, ears, fingers... Nothing.

He was like a speck of dust.

Little by little, his body began to be reconstructed, he felt again, slled, saw, and heard.

The boy erged from the abyss, taking a gulp of air as soon as he could.

Lloyd dragged himself on the ground, he felt the irregular texture through his bare skin. The surface was cold.

[Recomposition complete]

[You have lost a large amount of resources but your body was successfully reconstructed from the swamp of gluttony.]

Lloyd let out a big sigh.

What had happened?

Lloyd rembered it.

He had thrown himself against Siegfried, using Leviathan’s pupil he could read the warrior’s movents, giving him the ability to withstand three of them.

The last one was crucial, Lloyd sacrificed his arm to be able to shoot a drill with plutonium inside Siegfried’s armor.

The explosion was brutal.

But still insufficient.

When Lloyd returned, the knight was completely reconstructed.

He had replaced the missing parts using magical particles.

Lloyd felt everything was useless.

It was understandable, he had used everything from climatic phenona, lasers to nuclear explosions.

Siegfried was simply too powerful.

The only thing left for him to try was antimatter, but Lloyd wasn’t entirely sure how to create it.

It was then that he rembered it.

A formula used not in Tales of Avalon, but in the story that precedes it.

Invented by one of the greatest alchemists in history, who in turn beca an antagonist.

A formula equivalent to E=mc², but in its magical version.

The user made their spiritual core explode, which is expressed as a gigantic release of spiritual energy.

A suicidal technique but exaggeratedly powerful.

That’s when Lloyd thought of doing the sa thing, to finish off the enemy without leaving a trace.

The way that technique was perford was by molding the core until expanding it as if it were pure spiritual energy.

Due to his condition, having an artificial spiritual core, it wasn’t so difficult for Lloyd to do that.

It was a practically intuitive action, which resulted in a resounding success.

Or at least that’s what Lloyd deduced.

Since he didn’t rember anything after making his core explode.

[Mission completed]

[ 25,000 V.P]

[Gleipnir Absorbed]

[You have learned advanced ice magic]

Lloyd’s eyes widened.

Had he just heard Magic?

[You have built new core: Primordial Chaos Core]

"The energy of your core beca an indistinguishable amalgam between foreign and natural power. Now, you are capable of absorbing spiritual, demonic and magical energy for your core."

"You gain the ability to use magic, demonic arts and elental arts. You are also capable of fusing them."

Lloyd’s jaw dropped reading that.

Fusing the primary energy sources was as impossible as soone being able to use them separately.

It went against the world’s laws.

Lloyd couldn’t believe it.

"This is incredible... Though it doesn’t explain the fact that I don’t have clothes," he complained.

[All materials from the swamp were used to reconstruct your body. Your attack destroyed the trial’s structure, causing this to be the only way to revive you.]

[You only retain {Siegfried’s Body} incomplete]

Lloyd blinked hearing that.

Siegfried’s Body?

"Swamp of gluttony," he said, from the earth then sothing appeared.

It was armor identical to the warrior’s, except for the fact that now it was black.

"Okay... This was a good hunt."

[You have received the mark of the Chosen.]

[Do you want to consu it? Recomnded]

"Um... Not for now."

Lloyd snapped his fingers.

The armor deford to adhere to his skin as if it were a liquid.

Now the boy wore the armor, which in turn was technically an undead.

"It’s... Weird. Well, better this than being naked," Lloyd snapped.

A sound then caught his attention.

Upon turning he could see an altar where flas crackled.

"I can imagine what that is," the boy concluded.

He snapped his fingers again, the gluttony mud lunged at the fla, consuming it.

[You have devoured primordial embers]

[Absorption rate: 3%]

Lloyd whistled impressed.

Primordial elents go beyond a more powerful little fire or sothing like that.

They are the remains of an archetype.

They are the origin and prototype of everything they embody.

In this case, primordial fire is the origin of all existing flas in the world.

But also and this was more interesting, they can serve to forge other types of flas.

The original archetype was much more powerful, that was a simple fragnt.

The concept "fire" was one of the five principles that created the planet.

Fire was a brutal simplification in reality, since it encompassed energy, entropy, among several other concepts.

Still, even a simple emanation like that was incredible.

But if he didn’t want to end up like Protheus, Lloyd had to handle them carefully.

"Yes, I can only use them in monts of extre necessity."

Lloyd nodded.

But even saying those wise words, Lloyd was about to use them.

After all, even being soone prudent, no one can resist trying a primordial toy like that.
