"Mmm, the crazy one in armor seems like a problem, but who makes more curious is... Well, it’s as if there’s a hole where there should be sothing," the old man ntioned calmly. "Freki, who do you want to take care of?"

"There’s soone heading toward the temple," the man responded seriously.

"You noticed, huh? Yes, it would be bad if he intercepts the girls, but that’s precisely why I’m asking. I an, it should be obvious that you should go, after all you’re the fastest. Though, since you’re not leaving, I thought you wanted to switch shifts."

The old man cracked his neck while moving his arm.

"But if I go, you’ll be left alone."

The old man looked directly into Freki’s eyes, while raising an eyebrow.

"Are you an idiot? Do you think I’ve beco so senile I can’t even count?"

"Can you handle them all?" the man asked, surprised.

"Freki, if what worries you is my death, you can get going now. I think I’m old enough to make my own suicidal decisions."

"But—"

"Do you want a speech or sothing? We both know ti is pressing. If you wanted speeches, you should have co to visit more often, I would have been delighted to bore you with my stories, that’s what an old man does."

"Elde— I an, Honorable Elder, thank you."

Freki bowed before Garou, then propelled himself forward and left.

"What a wimp, getting sentintal in a situation like this. He’s still a brat."

The old man spat. Closing his eyes, he began to read the disturbances in the aura. It wasn’t pretty; it was much worse than he had imagined.

However, Freki had done a good job training the hunters and guards; they were already evacuating the weakest in small, separate groups, to have more chances of success.

"Lalalalala..." a childish voice was heard. "Oh! But look at what a cute little old man! Do you want to play with ?"

Garou stroked his beard while a sigh escaped his lips.

"Oh no, I think the crazy one likes ," the man drove his staff into the ground forcefully, making it embed in the earth. "One must understand there’s an age to stop behaving like a little girl."

"Huh? You’re being very rude, you know? Shitty old man, I’m going to rip out your organs one by one," now the girl sounded angry, she spoke so fast it was hard to fully understand what she was saying.

"What a mouth you have. Weren’t you taught to respect your elders?" then, a smile ford on his lips. "Let teach you."

The old man released the staff, and as soon as he did, that woman was crushed against the ground by an invisible force.

"What happened? Don’t you have anything to say?" the old man cleaned his ear with his pinky finger, then put his hand behind his ear. "Yeeees? Were you saying sothing? I think age is affecting my hearing a bit. I was sure I heard you say sothing about taking off my clothes? Goodness miss, you’re very bold."

The old man looked at the woman; she was embedded in the ground, didn’t seem able to move, she’d be fine for now.

"That’s it, stay there nice and still."

The man began to walk calmly. Apparently that woman had the ability to manipulate insects? Garou didn’t know; they were like tiny little creatures that traveled through the air. However, they weren’t dangerous to him.

These entered the body through pores, nose and mouth; the problem was that he already absorbed large amounts of prana unconsciously, so that prana disintegrated those "creatures" as soon as they tried to enter his body, identifying them as an impurity.

"Well, I suppose I’ll go for the necromancer first, he can beco annoying if I leave him alive."

The old man pointed his finger in a direction, it seed he was pointing at a house.

However, Garou could see much farther.

Particles of light gathered at his finger, to subsequently shoot toward his target, piercing through every obstacle... Except one.

"Damn, that half-breed is better than I thought. I guess I’ll never learn not to underestimate a giant."

The old man stood still, while putting his two feet parallel, and slightly bending his knees.

The man opened his mouth, to take a large gulp of air.

Suddenly, his kimono tore; his musculature had increased considerably.

And just then, the building he had been pointing at before was destroyed, pierced through by sothing, or rather soone?

Legran had arrived, and brought down his axe on Garou.
