Leo was too confused to speak.

What he was seeing does not make any sense whatsoever. He looked to his left at Rosa, and to his left at Amanda, and they wore a look of satisfaction on their faces. Whatever they planned or were planning is oblivious to him.

He thought maybe the dust was playing pranks on his vision, but he could see it clearly now that it is settled. Standing there, talk and thick of fra is a cha-man in gleaming red armour made from beast cores, with it’s beast sword hanging and swinging by it’s hip. Seeing it now brought a painful mory in Leo’s brain. He never wanted to rember that night for anything again.

Both of its usual glowing eyes have been dulled or shut down for so reason, and the cha-man appear to be stooped in its stance like there was just a little life left in it.

"Stop gawking at it. You’ve seen enough of them, won’t you agree?" Rosa said. Leo recoiled and followed the girls to the left corner of the room where the dust was still prominent, still looking back at the cha-man with its dusty suit.

They kept walking through the dust. This place is much larger than the thick dust is making it look. Leo couldn’t even see past a few ters in front of him. Amanda wasn’t in sight any more and Rosa was only just visible through the dust. He quickened his steps.

He saw Rosa clearly now. He reached out his hand to stop her, but still couldn’t reach her yet. "Where are you taking , Rosa? I can’t see a thing ."

"Just co, sheesh. Don’t be such a coward."

Just then, Leo heard a clicking sound. The dust started reducing drastically and he could see his ’captors’ clearly now. Rosa was standing in front of him, a little stooped. Her scarf was blowing wildly, which suggested that sothing windy was ahead. Amanda was— "wait, Amanda—"

Leo heard a sharp snarl. Imdiately, Rosa bent down quickly and maintained so strange Martial Arts’ kind of stance. A short gasp escaped from Leo as soon as he saw what made Rosa duck so quickly.

It was a beast...

The dust still lingered, only it was now less thicker.

As soon as Rosa bent down and Leo gasped, a very grotesque looking beast leaped in the air over Rosa and was flying straight at Leo. It’s razor sharp teeth was laden with thick fluids and they were milky white, arranged like unsheathed swords in the rack of an artillery. This beast looked ready to kill.

"This can’t be."

It was a surprise attack. Leo was not prepared for this sudden change in event. So, his reaction was too late. Not that he got any real sharp reflexes to boast of, but he sure would have known to duck or turn to either sides to escape this savage beast.

So, all he could do was shift a little on his feet and brace for impact. He doubted if he would survive an impact with this beast though.

But at the last second as if changing its mind, the beast twisted its smooth body in the air and knocked Leo off his feet with its strong tail.

He could have sworn he had died that instant. He landed with a heavy thud on the surprisingly softer-than-expected floor. His head banged. He closed his eyes in pain. His leg itched.

He then opened his eyes again to see where the beast was. But instead of the scary looking grotesque bastard beast, all he could see was a Hamster nibbling at the lower half of his pants.

"Oh! Hell no!" He yelled in anger and frustration.

The next thing he heard was Rosa howling in a mocking laughter again. "This girl sure knows how to laugh out her lungs."

He looked down at his leg and the Hamster was looking back with so cute eyes. Of course, those eyes wasn’t going to get him. Still sitting in the floor, he arched his other leg and sent a kick flying straight at the Hamster. "Get the hell out of here."

Hamster made a squeaking sound and cleanly dodged the kick by jumping a few feet in the air, then went running straight to Rosa.

Rosa wouldn’t stop laughing as she picked Amanda up in her Hamster form.

Leo was upset.

"Did you see the look on your face? I should have brought my cam," Rosa taunted.

"Is this supposed to be funny?" Leo said, standing up.

"Well, it is. Most tis, the victim doesn’t find it funny." Rosa explained still laughing. "Thanks to you, I’ve had enough laugh to last a week."

Amanda wasn’t morphing back to her human form, so Leo decided not to nag at her yet. There’s no point yelling at a Hamster.

The dust was all gone now. Turns out that it wasn’t a real dust like Leo thought. It was just a device worked into the ceilings and floors to create a thick mass of harmless fu to cloud the environnt. It is turned on and off by a switch on the wall. That was the clicking sound he heard before Amanda attacked him in form of a wild beast.

"Never do that again, please," Leo said to at least voice his discomfort to the Hamster.

"Well, she’ll do that again," Rosa explained, "that’s the reason we’re here."

"What are you talking about? Let get out of here then if she’ll continue morphing to get on my nerves."

Amanda squeaked. A pitiful one.

"I think I have to tell you now," Rosa said. "This is our secret training centre."

It all made sense now. But creepy.

Rosa continued, "That cha-man over there is Jade’s combat toy. He’s testing his quirk against the beast armour of the cha-n. Don’t give that look, there’s nobody inside the suit. It’s just a suit. Every now and then, one of us has to wear that suit and face Jade in combat. Quirk against Beast weapon.

"If you’re wondering how we got a cha-suit here, it’s from one of the dead ones that night. They were dumped as scraps until Riley dug up one of the few suits still in a good condition. He gave it to Jade to practice on."

"Pause. Pause," Leo said. Too much information at a ti overwhelms him. "How the freaking hell did Riley dig up a suit that belonged to the Earth’s Council? What if they ca for the suits? And the beast weapons?"

Rosa smiled. "We have so support, you know."

Leo nodded, still lost. Of course, they belong to the Morningbolt family. They could easily get away with stuffs, but Leo doubted that was the support Rosa ant. Maybe it had to do with one of the teachers backing them again. He really hoped it wasn’t Hunter Man again.

"Okay. I understand everything about the suit now. But what do you an Amanda will do that Beast thing again? Is that normal, scaring people like that?"

"To train us of course. She’s the closest thing we have to a real beast in our possession."

"And why are you training with a beast?" Leo almost yelled.

"You didn’t know?"

"Know what?"

"Of course, you wouldn’t know. You’re always sleeping during classes."

"Know what?" Leo persisted.

"The first Beast Hunting adventure for we freshn is coming soon."
