Lionel got into a battle stance, his eyes gleaming as his dual stun batons humd, brimming with intense current.
anwhile, his opponents’ aura blazed, the atmosphere crackling with power.
All the sidelined guards, not wanting to get in the way of their captain as ordered, marched far backward, giving enough room for the battle to rage.
Lana, brewing in silent rage, took slow ground-sinking steps toward her prey. Suddenly, wind clapped — her figure vanished, reappearing right before the Captain.
Holding her wrathful hamr in one hand raised high, her fra arched backward like the string of a bow stretched, her tendons and muscles pulled taut.
Her glistening bronze skin and well-developed compact muscles bulged, her eyes glowing rich bronze.
Then she let loose, the hamr slamming down with imnse force and montum, intent on crushing her opponent.
Lionel smirked. He had no intention of evading, his navy-blue uniform billowing with the wind as sparks of electricity danced in the air.
Lionel’s hair stood upright as the refreshing elent filled his fra, his eyes glowing bright blue.
He swung, muscles bulging, eting his foe’s downward strike with an upward swing of his own.
The two weapons collided. Pure raw force from Lana’s attack channeled into Lionel’s fra, his arms aching, but the devilish smirk on his lips never faded.
As the bronze hamr was a good conductor of electricity, what comnced next was only natural.
Cackling currents ravaged through Lana’s body, accompanied by an equally deadly force of raw power rippling into her fra.
The electricity burned, the raging tide of force ruptured all weak vessels.
Lana lost in the clash, her fra flung back in recoil, a black exhaust exhaled from her pores, bringing with it a sickening burning sll.
Lana grimaced with a scowl.
"To think such a small fra held such strength!"
anwhile, Lionel’s opponent wasn’t singular. As Lana’s fra flew away from impact, a silent sinister arrow streaked smoothly into the fray, aiming for Lionel’s eyes.
Lionel blinked as an ethereal force ford a shield before his fra. The arrow struck true but was hindered by the shield, crumbling from its own force.
A small explosion rang out as Lionel leaped backward in retreat — but another enemy was attacking from the side.
Lux’s trusted sword, Gram, had been unsheathed, its glinting edge swinging for Lionel’s waist, aiming to decapitate.
Lionel frowned, creating more of the ethereal shield force. This ti he stacked five barriers.
But due to the imnse power of the strike, Gram swept through, crushing all five barriers, unable to impede more than a split second.
That ti fra was all Lionel needed to evade.
But the poor Captain barely had ti to think before swerving projectiles of arrows streaked through the air like homing missiles. The arrows streaked erratically but had a clear aim.
Before Lionel could breathe, he was surrounded by arrows — so swerving through his blind spot, others blocking all possible paths of escape.
In essence, he was trapped.
Lionel’s electric-blue gaze flickered. From the distance, the two Lords were already charging, Lana recovered, her eyes smoldering with fury and malice.
Currents called in the atmosphere as Lionel decided to unleash the skill of his Epic electric dual batons: The Wrathful Voltage.
Electric Field Blast!
He struck both charged batons together. The opposite currents within both weapons reacted.
A brilliant light sparked as everything in motion froze in place, ti slowing to a crawl.
A forceful wave of violent repelling currents burst out, both charges in constant turmoil. The red current burned all arrows to a crisp, turning them to ash.
As for the charging Lords, they were blasted backward, the raging currents burning through their fras, their constitutions unable to resist.
Lionel let out heavy breaths as steam rose from his figure. His uniform remained unruffled and undamaged, still retaining its integrity.
Lionel gazed at his rising opponents. One was unscathed — the archer Lord had kept his distance.
As for Lux and Lana, both suffered minor burns here and there, but due to their armor and constitution, the damage wasn’t heavy.
Lionel had once been a humble hunter, quite weak, soone most Lords would have rejected on sight or at most accepted as a civilian.
But he knew the truth — he was never weak, only lacking the right tether.
Unlike other hunters and Lords, Lionel was a unique figure who held only one skill.
It was called Lord’s Manifestation (SSS).
A skill that only showed benefits when he beca a subordinate, as it allowed him to manifest varying degrees of his master’s skills depending on their bond.
And the day he was accepted into the Cosmic Policing ranks, he naturally bore the manifestations of all of his Lord’s skills.
Bash (SSS), Electric Amp (SSS), Endless Ammo (SSS), Martial Arts (A) — you na it, he could access it all.
But the problem was that as a new personnel with zero bond to their slumbering Lord, he could only access 10% of these abilities.
Regardless, even with just 10%, he beca one of the strongest Captains, able to clash with three high-level Lords on equal footing.
His grip over the batons tightened. Right now, the charges in the weapons were weak as a side effect of Electric Field Blast.
But that didn’t matter. He activated Bash, cranking it up to the highest — 10x, the maximum buff he could access.
He plunged forward, eting the charging Lux and Lana, his batons swinging to et both opponents.
And without surprise, he was thrown backward, losing the clash.
Lana’s hamr had grown denser and larger, fueled by her raging emotions. Lux had activated a skill of his Dominating Physique (S).
The two Lords didn’t hesitate, pushing further for their attack. Barriers manifested midair in an attempt to block their charge but were shattered one after the other.
anwhile, streaking arrows — this ti different projectiles — held myriad elents, promising a deadlier force.
The tide of battle had changed overwhelmingly. All Lords went all out. Lionel’s gaze focused as he prepared to sweep against the tide when suddenly—
Boooooooom!
A slender figure appeared before him, her arms outstretched, unleashing an incinerating beam of sun essence.
Blasting all attacks and Lords away.
"I could handle that, you know..." Lionel lanted.
Ashley’s violet hair fluttered as she glanced back at her comrade.
"I know... But you see, they too have reinforcents."
As she spoke, from the horizon three foreign silhouettes streaked forward.
