Chapter 55: Suspicions
The mont that crossed his mind, Desther imdiately recalled all his confusions regarding Lexie’s skill.
It was too good to be just B-Grade, and even A-Grade might not even be enough for it.
No matter how high his attributes had beco, the mont Lexie made a move, Desther would always be unable to follow her movents.
That Tier 1 Awakened Warrior back then could not respond to her speed when she moved, either.
At that ti, Desther had already suspected that her talent was not simple.
When he saw her move inside the Group-type dungeon, his suspicion rose even more that the talent was definitely not B or even A-grade.
Quite possibly, she might have an S-Grade Talent, or even possibly higher.
When the dungeon mutated at that ti, who was to say that it was him and not her that caused it?
There were truly a lot of possibilities that he could think of.
If a mutation truly indirectly occurs when humans awaken a high-grade talent, then this could possibly an that as of this mont, more than five humans on earth possessed that terrifying potential.
It must be noted that there were already known A-Grade Awakened Professionals. When they awakened inside a dungeon, no mutation occurred.
Joechicken’s theory about mutation only occurring if the awakened talent was S-Grade was indeed not without basis.
Unfortunately, there was still no confirmation regarding this matter for the ti being.
Quite possibly, the governnt might have already investigated this matter from this angle as well. He did not believe that there was no one in their midst that was able to think of such an angle when mbers of The Thinkers could.
...
anwhile, in a different setting, another storm was also brewing.
As a slightly well-known person, Lexie’s social dia presence was quite substantial.
Every ti she posts an update on her Professional Tube account, it imdiately garners a lot of likes and comnts.
Out of all of them, there were certainly those she personally knew and those who she didn’t.
Aside from that, there were also others that would always wait for any update coming from her account, just to beco the first to comnt in any of her posts and type ’First’ as if it was an honor to do so.
Hence, when her ’following’ section had a change, it imdiately attracted the attention of those who always monitored her every move online.
In her latest post, new discussions have already begun about it.
Speculations and questions began to rise in the comnts. Tagging her endlessly, waiting for her to reply.
The person in question, though, rely looked and read the comnts without bothering to answer.
Lexie looked at the notification on her account. There were new followers that followed her in the last hour or so, but the userna that she was waiting for never appeared on her notification tab.
’Was that truly not him?’
The thought crossed her mind before a pout surfaced on her lips. She typed the userna Qweasd123 on her phone to visit the profile.
The sa as earlier, the account remained boring and without any activities. The followers showed ’1’, while the following section remained at 0, the sa as before.
Sighing, Lexie closed her Professional Tube application and took the glistening sword beside her.
Going forward, she began to practice with the sword, slashing the dummies as if there were no tomorrow.
A few ters away, an elder looked at her training intensity and could not help but nod their head in approval.
’She seed spirited today. Not bad!’
...
Desther woke up early as usual out of habit.
Well rested, he stood up from his bed and began to prepare for his daily workout routine.
After the initial warm-ups, he began by doing his usual 100 reps a day challenge.
And as expected, Desther truly felt that he had beco lighter.
His usual exercise beca too easy for him, and he beca afraid that it would halt his progress.
In the end, his usual set indeed only felt like a warm-up for him.
Hence, he decided to do the exercise using variations to make them harder.
Instead of just regular pushups, he decided to do decline push-ups with weight instead. He definitely felt the difference and finally felt his muscles getting engaged.
He did the sa to the other exercise as well.
Sweat began to form and slide down his body as the workout beca even more intense.
After almost forty-five minutes of intense training, Desther was finally done for the day and was only lacking the 10-kiloter cardio run.
For that, Desther planned to add more distance and add so weights while running to make it more intense as well.
He then stood up in front of the mirror to look at his own body.
His ssy black hair looked wet; his striking black eyes stared at his own reflection in the mirror.
In terms of appearance, Desther was truly not lacking either. Since he workout, his jawline was visible and looked very sharp.
After he was done appreciating himself in the mirror, Desther decided to finally do his daily cardio exercise.
Not wanting to waste any ti, Desther also planned to search for a suitable apartnt along the way.
Donning his usual get-up, a hoodie and pants, he left his room as he began his daily run.
When he started his run, it was already past 5 in the morning. The sun had already begun to glow on the horizon, and the surroundings had already started to get warr.
When he was done with at least eight kiloters, he realized that the sun had fully risen in the east.
Since he was not notified through text, Desther assud that there would be no school for today.
College was no longer the sa as before.
The schedule of the students was no longer that packed, and most of the ti, they only needed to co back for major activities and exams.
Teacher Rosa had also reminded them in advance before that she would just notify them if the badge was ready. And by then, they could go back to school and receive their very own Professional Badge.
