Chapter 49: Harvest
The enhancent of his Mastery over the skill Magic Bullet was a welcod addition to his arsenal.
A 20% increase in magic damage might not sound much, but compounded with his massive attribute, a 20% increase might just be a 100% increase for the others.
The casting speed was also another enhancent that he liked. He had just discovered using one Magic Bullet one after the other and doing a simple rapid fire. With his enhancent, he would surely be able to release Magic Bullet quicker.
’I wonder if I could cast multiple Magic Bullets and release them at once,’ Desther thought to himself while thinking of other applications of the skill Magic Bullet.
There were certainly so single-target skills that could be released simultaneously; however, Magic Bullet did not have it in its description.
As of this mont, it was still a little hard for him to quickly cast two Magic Bullets one after the other.
Regarding simultaneous casting and release, Desther would try to practice it later on.
For now, Desther looked at the two corpses of the Hell Cats that he just eliminated.
According to online discussions, Hell Cats also have valuable materials that he could sell.
This was the reason why he targeted them as well.
According to current market value, a whole Hell Cat could be sold for at least 100 Awakened Credits.
Of course, the value still depends on the store you sell it to, but in official rchants like the Professional Alliance, getting 100 Awakened Credits would be a guarantee.
However, the problem regarding official channels would be the fact that every transaction would be recorded. Desther doesn’t want these two Hell Cats to be recorded.
After all, he does not have a Professional Badge yet. If he brought it over, he would be questioned about where he got them, and things would get complicated real quick.
Fortunately, selling things outside of Professional Alliance was not uncommon. Desther even know so black markets that exist in Radiant City.
The Professional Alliance also knew of their existence, but they seed to turn a blind eye to their existence. Not that they would be able to shut it down anyway.
Bringing the two Hell Cats inside Radiant City would be inconvenient as well. It would be ideal if he could do the transaction outside.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t trust anyone for him to do a transaction outside the city.
Fortunately, Desther already had a store in mind where he could sell the materials anonymously.
It would be too eye-catching to carry two huge Hell Cats in the city, though. So he must process and just bring so valuable materials instead of bringing the whole body over.
Although the value would diminish because of this, Desther doesn’t have any other choice.
Taking out a small butterfly knife from his pocket, Desther began to dissect the important parts of Hell Cat that he could sell.
After a bloody ss, Desther was finally able to take all the parts he could take.
Ranging from their tails, fangs, eyes, paws, and so other body parts. He refrained from taking the big parts along with him, as they would beco too bulky and too conspicuous.
The bag he brought was almost full. The parts were light enough for him to handle with one hand; by his rough estimate, they were about 50 to 60 kilograms in weight.
’What a pity. I should consider buying so storage tools in the future,’ Desther thought as he looked at the two dissected corpses in dismay.
After that, Desther did not linger in the area any longer.
He did not bother cleaning it up. Such a scenario was quite common outside the city. The corpses would either decay or be devoured by other monsters nearby.
Taking the sa route he took earlier, Desther was able to return inside the shelter safely and without any situations occurring.
With that, he heaved a sigh of relief as he made his way to the store he had his eyes on.
Fortunately, the title Chosen One did not act up earlier. Else, it would be too much of a hassle to complete the mission if he ever got one. In fact, he hoped that the mission that ca from that title would no longer appear.
A few monts later, Desther arrived in the shop.
It was situated in an alley with moderate traffic. The shop was not big but was a little famous around the area for its hospitality.
The thing he liked the most about this, though, was that the owner was just an average guy through and through.
The plots in novels where the owner would let soone investigate their client’s information would surely not happen this ti around.
When he entered the shop, the bell attached to the door fra chid as an old man behind the counter looked up to see who entered his shop.
Seeing an unfamiliar person, wearing a ski mask and a get up that scread anonymous, the old man knew better than to ask any questions.
Desther walked toward the old man and dropped the bag containing all the Hell Cat body parts in the dropping area.
Nowadays, most shops would build designated areas for custors to drop off their loot.
So loot could be too bloody, and dropping it on the counter would be inappropriate and untidy.
A dull thud sound was heard the mont the bag landed on the ground.
Although it felt light to Desther, it was obviously not as light in terms of weight.
The mont the old man saw his actions and heard the thud, he imdiately knew the custor did not seem to be simple.
To be able to carry such weight that caused the sound, the old man thought that the custor was at least a Tier 2 Awakened Professional.
The sll of blood entered his nose, and it was at that mont that he realized what the custor was there for.
"Do you accept Hell Cat materials here?"
