Chapter 23: Choosing Equipnt Again

The three looked at Desther the mont he ntioned that he got an attack skill.

It must be noted that gaining skills in their current levels and tiers is quite rare.

Lexie awakening a skill from her B-Grade Talent was normal. However, for him to claim that his talents as a D-Grade and he awakened a skill from it. This is rare.

Not to ntion, Desther’s grades and scores during previous exams were just slightly above average. He did not seem like soone that could awaken a talent with a skill at all.

Although she was aware of his real capabilities, even Lexie herself was surprised about this announcent. She did not recall him having a skill last week at all.

And she did not think that he would casually reveal it. She did not think that he was the kind to reveal it.

She had been secretly observing him since last month. He always avoided interacting with anyone, as if he were afraid of getting contaminated by an invisible disease that everyone has.

One thing she observed about him as well was his love of wearing hoodies and pants.

Apart from that, he rarely talks and seems very secretive and mysterious.

So she did not think that he would casually reveal the skill at all.

’He might have reasons for that...’ she thought to herself, giving Desther a curious look.

However, considering what he had shown at that ti inside the dungeon, Lexie thought him being able to awaken a skill was normal.

In the end, the three of them just kept silent about it and continued talking about their approach to this dungeon.

They discussed possible strategies and each of their roles once they were inside the Group-type dungeon.

An hour passed by as Teacher Rosa clapped her hands to get the class’ attention.

"Alright, an hour is up. Let’s go to the inventory so you can get your equipnt."

Desther and the others were already familiar with the inventory, also known as the Supply Departnt.

Previously, Desther took or borrowed a pair of bracers and a dagger as well as the leather armor.

Due to him parrying the Tier 1 Warrior’s punch, the bracer he wore was slightly damaged. The dagger also had so fine cracks on its blade, but it was still usable. Fortunately, he was able to play it off, so the Supply Departnt did not bla him for it.

Those were just temporarily borrowed, so any damage done to them would be their responsibility.

"Alright everyone. Choose the equipnt you want for yourself. Do not be greedy and just take what you can use. Any damage done to them, you would be responsible," the inventory manager stated.

Teacher Rosa nodded her head, agreeing with his statent. She then added, "Don’t worry, though. As long as it can keep you safe, there’s no harm in using the equipnt to the last of its abilities."

"Anyway, once you unlock your Profile Status, our Radiant Dawn College will provide you permanent equipnt that you can use for the foreseeable future."

Desther and the others nodded their heads in understanding.

This was the good thing about going to school. You will be provided with learning facilities, a good learning environnt, and, at the sa ti, equipnt that could support your starting life.

Too much sheltering and too much spoon-feeding are not good for a future professional. So that would be the only ti the school would provide them with free equipnt.

According to what he knew, once they activated their Profile Status and received their Professional Badges, they would be able to request the equipnt that they liked within a set budget. The Radiant Dawn College would then do their best to provide them with the items they requested.

Desther went and took the sa set of equipnt he had before.

A set of bracers for his arm, leather armor, as well as a dagger for close-quarters combat.

This ti, he made sure to find the best dagger that he could find, lest it crack amidst a battle once more.

The three also chose their equipnt one by one. Desther did not forget to take note of their choices as well.

Among the three of them, he could say that Lexie chose the best set of equipnt.

At least, compared to the previous equipnt she chose.

She took a sword, a breastplate, and then a cuisses, an armor made to protect her thigh.

’Guess she learned a lesson...’ Desther thought as she tried to wear the breastplate that covered her upper body with the armor.

On the other hand, Noah took a small shield, leather armor, and then a helt to protect his head.

Although his choices were strange and seed to be pretty defensive in so aspects, Desthe did not bla him, as he thought that it was only normal to be that cautious.

anwhile, Elena chose a long staff made of wood. It was light but pretty sturdy. For it to be placed here, it should have its place among Tier 0 creatures. She also chose a leather glove and then leather armor.

After they were done picking, Teacher Rosa told them to gather, as the bus had already arrived.

Unlike the previous dungeon they entered, the location of the Group-type dungeon they were about to enter was not in Radiant Dawn College.

As Teacher Rosa said, Group-type dungeons are pretty rare and valuable. It is not often that the school could allow its students to go into one.

Desther thought that they were either only doing this for Lexie’s sake or soone was able to pull so strings.

For regulated Group-type dungeons, the owner usually charges a lot of money per entry.

’Classic capitalism!’

Anyway, since the owners bore the fee of buying the dungeon and moving it to their lands, maybe they indeed deserve to earn for their own investnt.

The Professional Alliance manages the rights and ownerships of dungeons. They are also the one to decide if a dungeon is safe enough to be kept.

Usually, when a dungeon descends inside the Radiant Shelter, the owner of the land it descended to is considered the rightful owner.

However, there are tis that the rightful owner does not have the capability to manage the dungeon. So they either sell it to willing buyers or allow the Professional Alliance to completely clear it and be provided with compensation.

Desther and the others rode the electric-powered bus toward the location and arrived an hour later.

Teacher Rosa then led them to the exact location of the dungeon.

A man wearing a suit also ca forward to et them.

"Good noon. I am Celier, the butler responsible for this dungeon. May I confirm if you’re from Radiant Dawn College?"
