Arthur slowed as the corridor opened into a broken chamber.
The space was wide and uneven, the stone floor cracked and scarred. Bones were scattered everywhere. So were fresh, still pale and sharp. Others were older, dulled by ti until they blended into the dust.
He stayed close to the wall and focused on his breathing until it steadied.
Only then did he bring the system back up.

Arthur let out a slow breath.
"Twelve," he said. "that’s how it stacks."
He leaned his back against the wall and crossed his arms, thinking.
The base points were fixed. That much was obvious. Rank mattered most. Kill sothing stronger, earn more. It was simple.

They weren’t tied to what he killed, but how he did it.

One skeleton turned, weapon scraping stone as it raised its sword. The others followed a mont later.
Arthur didn’t tense.
He moved.
The first strike ca. He slipped inside it with a short, exact step. His dagger glanced off bone, not a kill, just enough to redirect.
He didn’t chase, as he repositioned.
The second skeleton lunged. Arthur ducked under the swing, as he felt the air pass over his head. He stepped through cleanly, and drove his dagger into its spine.
Crack.
As It collapsed.
Arthur didn’t even look back.
"Too slow," he muttered.
The remaining three activated their skill. Speed surged. Pressure spiked.
Arthur smiled.
"Good," he said. "Now we’re talking."
His body responded smoothly. No panic. No wasted motion. Sovereign’s Bearing kept his thoughts steady and sharp.
Steel rang against bone.
Clack. Scrape. Crack.
Arthur moved like soone who knew exactly what he wanted.
And the system, silent and watchful, took note.
The fight was only beginning.
