538 CH 498 : ENOUGH MOVING
"Because I will be the strongest King Lustburg ever had. I do not fear. I do not bend. I make the rules. That is all."
Sol uttered those words with calm and quiet confidence. His grin, was ever-present and shining.
He did not need to shout nor to show exuberance, he was what he promised and needed no exaggeration.
The ti when he needed to kneel and beg for the protection of his loved ones had long since passed.
Though he would not hesitate to do so once again if it was necessary.
The witches were quite surprised by the display of pridefulness that left no words for more discussions. But then, rembering that the prince was partially a dragon, they all nodded.
This was more than understandable then.
“I believe I have disturbed enough the young ladies present here. I would just like you to know that I do not co as an enemy nor a conqueror. But as a companion and a friend, wishing for your well being.”
It was not a lie. The happier the witches were, the happier dea was and the happier dea was, the happier he would be.
Ergo, making the witches happy would make him happy.
He smiled at them. The kind of smile he knew usually made won go weak and started to walk away,
“Pass my words, believe in . My only goal is your happiness and I believe that all the witches should know that their destiny will be decided in the incoming days.
If the negotiation fell apart then….There is nothing I can do.
He waved his hand before entering his dinsion and vanishing from their eyes.
.
.
.
When Sol entered his dinsion, one of the witches who had been in the restaurant imdiately left and started running.
As she did so, her body beca covered in a black coat and the number 10 could be seen on her sleeve.
Her face was quite flushed and her heart was beating fast in her heart.
"Elder sister was right. He is quite splendid."
As shown by her number, Ten was the most recent addition to the rotation of the council.
In the next election, One would leave her seat, Two would beco One, and Ten would beco Nine, while a new witch would be selected as the Number Ten.
Thanks to this rotation system, sooner or later, all witches who were selected for the council would beco the chairman even if for a limited ti.
Ten, unlike the current number one who was more focused on the power of Life, was an Astrologist.
For the witches who considered science as magic and witchcraft, sothing as abstract as Astrology was sothing they rarely studied.
What was the use to try and see the future when hundreds of millions of possible futures could exist at the sa ti?
Even the goddesses could not accurately grasp the future. Much less a woman who was only a Duke.
Even so, the fact that she managed to create her domain, and beco a Duke through her research was proof of her talent.
Taking a few more steps, she stopped and looked behind her.
"How did Your Highness discover my identity?"
Though she could feel nothing and see nothing, she knew that she would et soone important here that could change her destiny.
Trying to divine the future of the prince was impossible. But by observing her own future, she could sohow break so of the limitations.
Then by deduction, she could reach a more or less reliable conclusion.
“I am impressed. Until now the only ones who could determine my positions are King rank specialized in space or Demigods.”
As she thought, ripples spread in the surrounding space and a young man walked out of those ripples, as if coming out of water.
Ten observed the Prince more closely and she had to admit that he was truly a handso young man.
‘Though, he is quite young.’
It seed like dea had so heavy taste. But then again, since the prince was a Dragon, age didn't matter as much as she guessed.
“You are giving too much credit. I am simply relying on so small tricks I learned over the years.”
“Is that so? Then I would be happy to discuss your experience more in-depth.”
Ten laughed, “I am honored. But I believe the prince did not stop a mber of the council for simple pleasantries.”
“You are right.”
She fidgeted a little when she felt the prince approach her. His presence was growing and she felt herself becoming even smaller now that she was alone with him.
This was an impressive feat and she could feel that this was not even his intention. This was simply the presence he had developed naturally.
‘Just what kind of experience did he have to go through?’
She was curious.
“dea told that so of the witches were on her side.”
She rose an eyebrow behind her mask,
“Do you wish to bribe or sothing?”
She was indeed on the side of dea when it ca to opening the gate of Salem but she would have to rethink if the prince was trying to move under the board.
“No. I do not need to. The result is already a foregone conclusion. The only thing that will change is what kind of price the witches will pay and how far I am willing to humor this situation.”
“Ah…”
Ten could say nothing in return.
This situation was indeed beyond anything the councils could say.
This was sothing that concerned absolutely all the witches and the negotiations were indeed not so much about whether they would open or not. But what they would have to do to receive the help of the prince and if they were willing to do as ordered?
“Though, so witches seem to think this is an equal discussion. It’s not. I have full control of the situation.”
He smiled at her but his smile seed colder,
“I do not want to waste more ti in this stupid situation. So I want your help, I would be very happy to know about Salem from the position of a ruler.”
He had played enough and he had a war to fight after all.
Ten hesitated. She truly didn’t want to speak more and give important information by accident.
But, she had already chosen her side long ago. It would be stupid of her to backtrack now.
“Sigh~I hope I am not making the wrong choice here.”
“Trust . What you are doing now will change the witch world. I have no intention to use you guys as subordinates or as war potential. You will simply be once again the subjects of Lustburg and this ti nothing will change this. As long as I am alive.”
She nodded.
Those words coming from soone who had a nearly eternal lifespan were truly quite convincing.
“I will bring all the council mbers on our side.”
She hoped everything would end well.
(AN: I think this arc will last around 5-6 chapters more. Initially, I wanted to add so sexy scenes. Sothing like a super orgy or the like. But I feel like this isn’t the mont. Better focus on the war fast and see the epic fights.)
