Chapter 86: Reflection
I didn’t know when sleep took , I wasn’t in the cold water anymore but a warm bed, I groaned against it, flicking my eyes open, and t with the slightly dimd chambers, most of its source coming from the moonlight that shone through the window. Illuminating the room and giving a surreal view, my eyes were too tired to take it all, I felt alone.
"William?"
"I’m here"
A flush of relief found , my nerves calming when I heard his voice. He was sitting on the bed watching
and I could see from the shadow and his eyes. My favorite green color was back, another highlight of the room. A smile on my lips as I reached for his hand next to
and gripped it tightly, although they were quivering slightly but when he gave my hand a gentle squeeze it instantly stopped.
My body humd in delight, just his touch was enough for tingles and comfortable warmth, his hands were so big and covered mine like a blanket.
"Go back to sleep"
He’s back with his orders. I haven’t realized how much I miss his voice until now... I felt like I haven’t heard it in years, I thought I would never get to anymore... when I saw him pale, with no heartbeat, black eyes.
I thought I have lost him forever
For a reason unknown to
my heart cannot bear that thought, it was enough to squeeze the life out of . I’m glad he’s okay or else I won’t stop blaming myself.
The strong essence of sleep ca back to
and my lashes grew heavy, I was too tired and my muscles needed relaxation, as the realms of sleep took
again I utter words with an ounce of hope.
"Will you be here when I wake up?"
Silence followed as I closed my eyes and I heard his voice echoing in my senses enough to bring a smile to my lips.
That was enough, I closed my eyes feeling his eyes on
and I let the realms of sleep take , my smile not ceasing from my lips.

I felt the wind against my face, and the rich sll of silage and it caused
to open my eyes and I was back to that view. The sa giant trees on both sides are like a hall leading to a path. The skies were the brightest as the sun shone on everything giving it a warm highlight and colorful peak.
I looked down at my clothes and I was yet again wearing that white gown. I got a better look at it, it had shiny designs on it, flowing freely on my body, tight around my waist and free down to my legs. Large long sleeves flapping freely with the week.
The strong wind ca again and I inhaled, shielding my face with my hands. It was too strong and I was almost blown away if I didn’t stand my ground properly... It brought more of the rich sll of hay.
That strong wind ca from where the giant trees led to it. I could strangely feel it. It was happening again... that path was calling to
and this ti there weren’t bites or blood. Just
like a single entity in this place and a path calling to ...
For what?
Should I follow? I was scared because it was like venturing into the unknown, having no idea where it leads. I’m here all by myself... I can’t tell if this is real or a dream.
And yet it calls to ...
Like a thread to a needle, and before I could stop myself I took a step, one step turned into two steps and then I walked, trekking to the unknown.
At the corner of my eye, I spotted a shiny stream, and out of curiosity, I turned my focus to it because it reminded
of the sa river I saw that rmaid. My feet made slight sounds against the soft grasses.
Getting closer to the river, I placed my hand on my knees and leaned to it and when I saw my reflection, my eyes went wide as I abruptly stretched back up and looked behind , there was no one there. I looked back to the river, that ans this reflection... this person I see... is ?
In my reflection I had long amber hair and not my usual brown hair color, it reached the back of my knees too, and around my forehead was a silver crown of flowers, glittering under the bright sunlight. My eyes were strange too, they were glowing, a bright vermilion color.
Is this ?
☆
I flicked my orbs open with a frown and t with puzzled crystal green orbs on .
William
He watches
intensely, searching my eyes for unspeakable questions or any sign of discomfort, and being the morized idiot I am, I let myself get drunk in his beautiful eyes accompanied by the sunlight that reflected through the window, making
see the colors that dance in them with many hues.
So breathtaking... I will never get used to such eyes pinning
down like I was the entirety of his focus, it made my heart flutter and butterflies dance in my stomach.
"Ava?"
I blinked when his distant voice called to . "Hmm?"
He narrowed his eyes and the realization got to , he was talking to , wasn’t he? I was all zoned out to even hear a thing.
Stupid Ava
"Were you having a bad dream?"
Bad dream?
I don’t think it is... I blinked trying to rember what I dread about but it seed like I was having a hard ti doing so...
"Ava?"
"I don’t rember"
I do rember but not clearly. I stilled when William felt my forehead.
"You’re burning up"

"I-I’m fine," I said shyly, not eting his eyes.
"Hmm" he made a sound only but he didn’t look convinced. "Co closer to " he ordered.
It is funny how his words were both orders and requests, sotis I wondered if he could tell the difference.
I sat up and shifted closer to him and his arms snaked around my rest, I rested my head on his chest and a sudden cold engulfed
and I sighed, snuggling more to the newfound temperature.
Was I really that hot?
