"The Fox guardian?" I asked but I knew she was clearly talking about William and his cold aura. I was suddenly curious about what the creatures thought of him, I knew they didn’t get near him because of his aura, to begin with, but I had a feeling they knew about him even to be afraid.

"Ha yes, Basker’s heir" she shivered like she was telling a horror story. "No one gets near him..." she stops facing

with an expression I cannot understand. "No one" she added with venom and a cold chill ran through my spine at her sudden change of gesture.

But as quick as her stern mood ca it was gone and replaced with her usual amused look, why do I get the feeling she was faking it?

"So... when I lead you away from the river flow, where will you go, do you have a ho?"

"Well, I..." I didn’t know what to say, I can’t say I stay at the library to raise suspicion, but isn’t that for the better? Just tell her I’m from the library...? There is sothing off about this little pixie, she was all smiley but the quick change to her emotions was enough to cause

to be alert. But I didn’t have a choice right now... If she doesn’t lead

out of the river flow I’m afraid I will get even more lost. I could still picture the tree William and I set for our picnic... when I get to that area I’m certain I will recognize it.

"If you don’t have where to go you can stay with the pixies, we would love to accompany soone especially one who has a delightful scent"

"I-I have a ho"

"You do?" she tilted her head to the side in question and I gulped.

"J-Just lead

away from the river and I will find my way back"

Find my way back to William.

"Of course, let’s get going then" she mused flying ahead and I followed.

I turned my gaze to the skies, it was getting dark, I have to be quick, I have been gone for far too long.

Cleo didn’t ask much of , thankfully, but that doesn’t an it was a silent walk, I had the opportunity to ask her what a rfolk was and she told

they were rmaids, and rmaids are creatures who live in the water. An aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. It was a stunning discovery but it also gave

a new goal, to know more about the mystical creatures.

On our way into our little journey, I spotted an area that wasn’t as lively as the colorful view, it looked drained and dull like sothing out of dried ink, lifeless and there was a chilly feel to it.

I asked Cleo what it was... but she didn’t answer much... well she said she doesn’t know and not all parts glitter as gold.

"Are there Sprites?"

"Yes..." she faces . "Are you one too? Is that where you’re headed to? the Tree Colony"

Tree Colony? Is that where they are? Part of my kind?

Cleo suddenly stopped and I wondered why but when I looked around I saw we were no longer near the river flow... that ans we were at our destination. A breath of sigh left

now I was certain I could find my way back if I didn’t wander too far.

I faced the cute creature before

and offered her my brightest smile and one of relief I didn’t have to follow her any longer. "Thank you for your help and-"

"What have you brought for us, Cleo?"

At the sudden voice, I raised my head and found more like Cleo on them, they were so many and I noticed the area was different too, there weren’t any colorful flowers but instead just tall trees with green leaves and different hues of them and I noticed so were shaped into houses, miniature work and I tried not to dwell on my fascination but rather the company at hand.

"Well, guys..." Cleo began and I noticed a shift in her tone, she’s still amused but there is a hint of awe in it. "I brought us a Fairy!" she announced to the skies.

My blood ran cold and my eyes went wide, she knew?

The others flew around in applause making funny noises. What’s happening?

"Oh my eyes must be deceiving "

I turned my eyes to Cleo who looked at

like I was the star that fell from the very skies and she was bewitched by the sight of . "You sll so incredible" She licks her lips and a chill runs through . "I bet you taste delicious as you taste"

Never trust a Pixie

That rmaid’s voice finally hit

hard in the head and that was all it took... my eyes were glittering with amazent and wonder for this place and its creatures but it turned to horror when I gaze upon the thousand red eyes that stared down at .

What have I gotten myself into?

My chest rose and fell... picking up with every breath, my body shaking as I backed away.

"This is a dream co true!" Cleo squeaked. "Who knew a fairy would be brought to our doorstep, so easily," she looked down on

and raised an eyebrow. "You are too easy"

I gasped when my back found the tree bark and my heart leaped more, I was scared by the looks they gave , their red eyes glimring in the now dark area, and my legs were shaken about to give out.

I could not stop my quivering body, the earlier aura Cleo gave was warmth and that was the main reason I followed her but now... it was replaced with sothing hunger-induced, heavy, and enough to shock all my bones.

"Do you know what Pixies love the most about Fairies?" Cleo mused like she couldn’t handle the excitent. And then her look turned into one of a mini demon and I forgot to breathe.

What ca from her was a growl. "We eat your kind!"
