Chapter 39: A Fresh Breath Of Air
I turned on my bed, still rivaling my thoughts, sleep was the last thought on my mind, and staying in bed wasn’t helping either. So I sat up and a breath released from . What have I done? Did I really kiss William, surely there was nothing to be shaless about. We were sort of engaged right but still...
I groaned, gripping my head like I was about to lose it, maybe I’m losing it! I can’t stop it from ssing with my brain, the scene kept recreating in my head and it was already giving
a headache. Was I disrespectful? Did he like it? Like it? I blushed. How on earth am I supposed to know if he likes it or not? I haven’t even seen his face. He probably thinks I’m unabashed!
This is not helping at all! My mind was already playing the possible reply if I see him tomorrow. Chills engulfed my body.
"Your token of gratitude, Ava" he would say looking down at , and his aura, dear gods, why were they making
shake?! "A bit shaless isn’t it?" tilting his head to the side. "You are allowed to have your way with ..." He leans toward
and I just remain frozen in my spot. "But I cannot?"
A hot chill ran through my body and I quickly shook my head to get rid of the image before I imagined sothing way worse, my cheeks were already overheated, and I suddenly felt hot! I ca off my bed and panting holding my chest, I needed so air.
So I rushed to the doors... This was the first ti I’m actually thinking of going out of my chambers on my own. Can I even open this gigantic door? I got the answer to my question when I was just an inch away from it and the doors automatically opened. I stood frozen in my spot watching as the doors spread open like soone did it, but I saw no one so I wondered how, but the only answer I got was ’Magic’
I still don’t understand how magic works... but I knew for certain it can be used for anything.
I took a deep breath, eager to get so air. My windows didn’t have a balcony and just opening them wouldn’t suffice, or it was just an inner desire wanting to just go outside and feel the breeze against my face for real, I miss that feeling and I really need it right now.
I wandered the broad hallways with lit candles against the wall at every turn making it easier for
to see my path. I tried to recall every turn I took. It appeared trying to observe every place I walked whenever I trekked with Elvenia was finally useful. I didn’t feel like I was lost, well not entirely but I could definitely like I was going sowhere, the dining hall or the library perhaps?
No no no! This is not right... Why do I feel like I was at the entrance? I could recognize the huge chandelier I saw when I first ca in, the majestic twin stairs, This was definitely the entrance... Well, isn’t this a good thing? I would have my air. So I walked to the doors and they opened... Just a quick feel of the night wind and then I’m all good, I will be back before anyone notices.

I trekked out the doors and they slamd shut behind . I saw the familiar place that lay before my eyes, the concrete ground, with the enormous compound and the water fountain at the center sprouting shiny water and Water Lilies at the round mask of water. Under the night skies, the water glittered and was all shiny. This was a whole different and the night skies were spectacular!
The stars...oh the stars! A smile on my lips and my eyes wide glittering as I gaze upon the millions of stairs on the dark blue skies, so stunning. I almost wheezed when I saw shooting stars, it made the view almost impossible and I felt really lucky to see such... the night back at the orphanage was nothing compared to it, this was extraordinary and I didn’t mind staring at the skies forever, this was mystical.
And the wind, I took a deep whiff of it... it was so fresh... letting my hair dance along with it, it was the flawless escape I needed, it was endearing, restoring, and cold. I shivered slightly, finally looking down at what I wore, I was in my white sleeveless nightgown and nothing beneath... I should have taken a robe, how silly of , now instead of enjoying the night breeze I might catch a cold.
But I didn’t wanna leave, I didn’t think I would ever have the opportunity to co outside, this was luck, and I wanted to enjoy it while it lasted...
☆Faint Sparkle☆
The re sound distracted my thoughts and I turned toward it. I gasped in awe... a butterfly ca and it was so lovely, it was silver, pure silver and several sparkly lights like shiny dust were around it each ti it waved its stunning wings.
I stood still as the butterfly descended my nose and tickled it, I giggled and It flew off, I found myself following it for I was amazed by such wonder. I would laugh to myself as it would pause and fly around
and the dust tickles my skin, it was a wonderful feeling. I loved it, and I wanted to spend more ti with it.
So I kept following it until I realized I could no longer see the water fountain... I was puzzled at first and then I saw where it led
to, a wide garden with so many flowers to feast my eyes upon but out of all the captivating flowers gracing this place and all shiny under the night light what was truly spectacular and mystical enough to cease every action in my body was...
William standing with a horde of silver butterflies around him.
