Chapter 21: Tutoring
¤●¤
This was getting too much for
to endure, I have never felt so nervous under a re stare before , I have never cared about eyes on
until now.
"You look less like a skeleton now"
His sudden voice caused
to jump, the stretched silence was getting prominent by every minute until he spoke, that voice of his, smooth and luscious with a slight baritone to it, I can’t understand why one voice can hold such flavor that would sweeten your very body, just how? Ever since the mont I heard his voice when he called the price for my worth it was nothing but a shiver to my spine. Should I find that as trouble? I definitely should, I should be cautious of my surroundings, I’m yet to know the reason he purchased him and my worth and so many pending questions that lie within , I could explode at this point because it was too much, I just hope I get my answers.
"Do you know why you’re here today, Ava"
I flinched at his words, gods why were they sweet?!
"Look at , Ava"
Now they were rough because he sounded irritated and it made
wonder why but nevertheless I still kept my eyes on the floor, I don’t have the courage to look up.
"Look at ... Ava"
They were gentle this ti and it caused a fluttering feeling in my chest and caused my stomach to have butterflies in it. I don’t think he has ever spoken that way to , it was almost like the tone of his words has aning other than the ti he spoke like a blank board.
So I willed my eyes to look upon him... that mask... I pondered again why he would possibly wear it and what he hides, he must have so wound or mark he wants no one to see.
The highlight from the sunlight made his silver look so breathtakingly beautiful and thus my focus was driven to that. Always does, and an unntioned desire overca my very body... What would it feel like if I ran my hands around them? Were they soft? Hard?
"From today onwards you shall beco my student"
I shifted my gaze to his mask.
"I shall be your master starting from today" he added in a simple tone.
He flicked his fingers and books levitated to us, my eyes went wide as I watched what unfolded before , about five books were kept on his desk and I gulped.
"One is for sign languages so that I can communicate with you, the others are knowledgeable books you need for your IQ and mostly about the magical world, understand?"
I nodded... slowly.

"Good. Do you know how to read at least?"
I nodded but then I bit my bottom lip. I do know how to read but not completely... there were still so letters I do not know about and so words.
"I will take that as not a complete yes" he caught on quickly. "Then before we will venture into these books I will teach you all about letters"
I felt a warm feeling in my chest when he said those words, I never knew how comforting that would sound to my ears, education wasn’t free from where I ca from, we weren’t taught everything completely because of how expensive it was and it was mostly because our caretaker didn’t give in much thought to our education. So hearing him say he would teach
sort of made
happy...
Because I have always wanted to learn... I smiled faintly to myself.
"Ava" my smile ceased as I looked back at him.
"Co closer"
I blinked at his words but then he pointed to a smaller size of his kind of chair suddenly beside his, when did that get here? Was I lost in my thoughts again? I really need to stay focused.
I took a deep breath as I slowly rounded the table and found myself sitting next to Willam. Wasn’t it better that I sat across from him rather than beside him? Being this close to him got my heartbeat speeding again and my palms were sweaty but I knew I can’t say anything about it so I stayed silent and awaited what happened next.

I do not know how much ti has passed. Maybe it was just a minute I told myself but the dim light from the windows was convincing
otherwise, I think we were in noon now and nevertheless, William kept teaching .
He wasn’t a harsh teacher and he wasn’t angry when I got the letters wrong many tis even though I know he should be. Because I’m a slow learner and I don’t catch on easily but William was patient with , many tis I failed he ca back again and put
through.
And his voice was becoming more soothing each ti, murmuring to
about every letter and alphabet and I tried my best to listen carefully and not get distracted by his voice.
"Do you understand this pattern?," he said after the round of explanation and I nodded truthfully.
"Good" he shifted a paper and quill in ink for . "Write sothing for ... it is important your writing is perfected, you may not have words but your hands can be your weapon" he added as he rose to his feet the mont he said those words and I looked up at him in puzzlent.
He said nothing afterward as he walked down the stairs and the scrolls and so books floated along with him.
I gulped and faced my assignnt, what could I possibly write? I just have to write sothing simple and prove that I have at least understood sothing or else he would think I haven’t learned a thing after all his ti and I do not want to make him angry, I shivered... recalling what he did to the grandmaster’s hand, definitely do not want to get him angry, I should maintain peace as I can.
So the first thought ca to my head and seeing as the night was fast approaching I wrote sothing. and I looked at it... was this the right thing to write? I should have written another thing but this was one of my major questions.
I heard approaching footsteps and I raised my head, William was back and he walked majestically to the table and sat on his seat, and brought out his hand aning I should show him what I wrote.
All of a sudden I beca hesitant but I pushed it aside as I handed the paper to him. I want answers and I hope to get them.
