Chapter 198: Estel ~ Leylines {2}

Estel stood before the strange portal eyeing it with curious eyes.

"Did I open this? Or is it connected to ?" She mumbled before walking closer to it but made no attempts to go in, her eyes instantly caught sothing and it was the strange writings on the trees that held this portal. She knows this language and she has seen it in the books from the library, it was an ancient language.

"Leylines?" she said reading it. "But I thought this connection can never be made, then why is it responding to ?" she tilted her head to the side with folded arms. She knew from the books that Leylines were invisible, mystical ’energy lines...’ and no one have ever seen them or seen them connect before, it was so ancient.

"There must be a reason right? Maybe I should tell Mommy or Papa?"

And then she pictured their response.

"Never go there again, you hear ? it could be dangerous and you could be hurt sweetheart" her mommy would say.

"ddling with unidentified powers could be dangerous, if it responds to your eyes that ans it’s a trigger to your powers, I will have to seal" her papa would say.

Estel shook her head when she imagined their response, she knew her parents were always alert when it cos to danger towards her, if she were to tell them now she wouldn’t be able to tell why this Leyline was connected to her.

"Hmmm," she pondered deeply before shrugging. "Ti for so adventure, just a sneak peek and I will back" she rely convinced herself before stepping into it.

"Whoa!" Estel said astonished as she observed the insides of the portal, in hues of red and green like a glow, it was so beautiful.

Seeing a light at the end of the tunnel she walked towards it and then suddenly everything was very bright. Estel was forced to close her eyes as she kept going, but then gravity was suddenly lost to her and she fell flat on her face with a groan.

The grass tickled her nose and she sat up with a start, sneezing, and sniffing. She opened her eyes and gasped, her eyes wide and her mouth open. This was definitely not the Elven woods but the most beautiful forest she has ever seen.

Butterflies of several colors graced the skies freely and colorful birds too, completing everything to make it perfect, the skies had rainbows lined in every path of the skies, a faint color to it. And so spills of water from the waterfalls illuminated the area. Mountains from a distance could be seen too.

"So beautiful," Estel said amazed, getting up on her feet instantly, as the horde of butterflies ca to her, she jumped around and played with them as they tickled her skin, she ran around with them too giggling to her heart’s content for what seed like forever.

There was sothing about this place that called to her very soul, and the warmth that filled her body too, she spotted so magical animals in the distance.

"Whoa!" she giggled before playing around once again with the butterflies and rushing deeper into the closing trees and her giggles echoed in the area.

While running Estel instantly missed a step and she fell flat on her face again with a groan.

"Not again" she groaned, sitting up and rubbing her nose, the butterflies imdiately disperse.

Estel paused when she saw a view of beautiful sakura trees, it was so breathtaking but her eyes caught soone presently, on one of the tree branches, soone laid on it, a broad fra, signifying it was a man.

Completely srized she rose to her feet and walked closer, and then she saw it more clearly.

A man was having a nap on the tree branch, dressed in nothing but a white long-sleeve shirt with few of the buttons left open for air, black leather pants, and black knee-length boots, Estel spotted his black jacket resting on the branch too.

The man’s hands were placed behind his head in a comfortable sleeping position. His hair was midnight, kept neck length, so strands of it spread out because of the position he lay in, he was so beautiful, Estel never thought a man would be more beautiful than her father until now.

Eager to get more looks on the strange man, Estel climbed on the tree and closed in on him just at the top staring down at his beautiful features, his skin so pale like the moonlight. His lashes are a matching dark color so thick and full as well as his eyebrow and he looks so much like...

"Papa?"

He slowly opened his eyes and his pure gold ones landed on hers and Estel froze where she was as the man stared at her like he would see the insides of her soul. Estel thought he would get angry or offer any kind of expression but he was unbothered like the wind that blows independently, practically keeping his bored unmoving gaze on her.

Estel gulped.

"I’m-" Estel couldn’t finish because the branch she rested on snapped and she scread as she fell but she was instantly caught by the collar of her gown and held just there keeping her from falling, Estel’s wide eyes were in the distance she almost fell from, her legs wagging and she looked up at the handso man as her chest heaved.

The man had caught her and he didn’t look panicked at her as if she wasn’t about to fall, just held her by the collar like she weighed nothing but a feather.

The man rested his cheek on the back of his hand staring down at her with his bored gaze. Estel knew why he looked at her that way... because of her eyes.

"Strange eyes for a strange girl," he said in his baritone voice, and Estel gulped as she flushed.

"Um..." she looked sideways. "I’m Estel... pleased to et you and I wasn’t staring rudely I swear, you’re just too beautiful" She covered her mouth with her two hands the mont she uttered the last words.

But not once did the man ever change his passive expression.

"And I don’t care. What I care about is that you disturb my sleep, far from ho aren’t you child?"
