Chapter 173: Trapped And Helpless
PRESENT
Blood spilled from William’s nose and then he coughed a ton of it. He uses his hand to wage the tallic substance spilling from him, it suddenly felt like his insides were about to be ripped apart, he knew it was no doubt of the effect of recalling all those mories in one go, and Aldon’s curse branded on him.
A curse he has lived through, just like he stated, he has sought Ava out, have her in his arms, and have her vanish away from him making him leave through despair. William’s eyes trembled just at the re thought of it.
"Now you know what happened and what was taken from you, you must leave now William, you have stayed in this plane too long," Basker said as the branch that pinned to William’s forehead to give him his mories retreated.
"It was because of ... because of Aldon’s will," William said, wiping the blood from his lips with the back of his hand. "If I hadn’t sought Ava as a Fairy she would have still been safe there... I brought her right back just for her to suffer"
"William... Rember when I told you your fate is now intertwined with Ava, it still stands the sa. Even though the mortal Realm was the safest place it was never safe for her, her fate is too tied to Aldon, and even though death didn’t find her there she would experience sothing worse than death... but you finding her saved her from that fate"
"I do not know what to do Basker" William began looking distraught. "I cannot get to her, I cannot protect her, my soul is bound to this place and all I can do is watch... it is not fair"
"It wasn’t fair, to begin with, William... and I’m sorry you feel this way, your soul bound to this place keeps you from ddling, all you can do is stay"
"She needs
Basker," he shook her head. "I can feel it and yet I can’t do anything, what will I do?"
Basker wasn’t sure of what to say to him but all he could do was tell him the truth.
The entire plane began to vanish.
"There is nothing you can do, William..."
The scenery of Basker on the wall was gone and William was back to the center of the library.
"Master!" Severus said, rushing to his side. "What happened?" The master had just stood there for hours with his eyes closed but Severus knew without a doubt that the spell was in working, the master must have consulted Basker and taken his mories.
Severus paused when he saw blood stains on William’s shirt and a few on his nose.
"W-What happened Master?" he asked once again in worry.
"Even if I rember there is still nothing I can do," he said looking at Severus with sad eyes. "I have failed Ava"
The mont he ntioned her na Severus’ eyes went wide and suddenly he rembered everything, the girl he had forgotten, his master’s mate and wife.
"My lady," Severus said with trembling eyes as all the mories flood in, he couldn’t believe he forgot everything about her. William rembering must have affected him too.
"Is this my life? To be trapped here while the woman I love suffers?" William shook his head. "What is good of being the wielder of all this if I cannot save her? What is the point of Knowledge when nothing of it can help ?"
"Master" Severus said with sad eyes, he could feel the pain in every word he said.
"Aldon got what he wanted," he said sternly. "He wanted
to have her and then lose her, to feel despair. Everything was just his sick ploy and I brought her to him on a silver platter. I outlived my curse and yet here I ca trapped in this dinsion" he ran his hand through his hair and sighed heavily.
"I may have outlived my curse, but I still feel cursed, I still feel despair, what kind of a man am I if I can’t protect the woman I love? Just like centuries ago, I have failed her once again"

AETHEl

I gasped awake like I had just erged from the very depths of water, I felt like I had gone through a long ti of drowning in mories. I rember everything, my past life as a Yin energy, every single thing, completely different from what Aldon showed
at that ti in the milky water.
Aldon cursed
to be with him for eternity and both of us burned in it, he marked , and he sealed my fate when I wanted only peace and wanted nothing to do with the world after my duties were complete, but he was just too obsessed with
to the point he went against his good nature.
And due to our curse, I was reincarnated as his sister and his betrothed and he filled my head with lies, telling
I was born for him, destined to be together because of the promise we made to each other, when it was never a promise!
I rember everything! William centuries ago, every detail, our friendship, my journey to seek truth, and how I stumbled into a Realm, a Realm I now knew belonged to William’s parents, I never knew William’s last na back then but now I know, William is a Darkmore and that Realm must be connected to his parents too.
Who would have known? The undying resemblance The Emperor has to William, that vampire god must definitely be his father, I wish I knew then.
William also protected
by sending
to the mortal Realm, I thought he abandoned
but it was the complete opposite, he saved my life and due to the effect of
as an Elf passing through the portal into a Mortal Realm it affected my body and made
temporarily human and restarted my age and my mories were lost too.
That is why I was a 2-year-old back then, It all made sense now and it was all too scary because there was one more fact that laid as a shock for .
Aethel was destroyed.
I forced my body out of bed and walked to the window Aldon had thrown
out from, taking in the view of the Realm and I knew what I saw was all lies.
This was a mirage.
"Your Highness"
I turned at the sound of the voice and t gazes with Adina. Even she too and every single person living in Aethel was built on lies because they were all dead.
They weren’t real.
This must be Aldon’s magic, he must have done sothing to bring everyone back, I can now feel it, no one was real in Aethel, they were ghosts controlled by him, all this just to keep
back in his arms again.
He is sick!
"I was worried, your highness," Adina said with glassy eyes on the verge of tears. "Prince Aldon said you suddenly feel sick and that’s why you threw up suddenly at the ceremony, he asked
to look after you"
That bastard tried to kill my unborn child!
I kept my cool, my expression as emotionless as I could conjure, I subconsciously felt my flat tummy and Estel’s aura was just as weak but she was alive, I was actually scared that I lost her but after I woke up I could still feel her, but she was too weak.
"I’m not sick, Adina"
"But Prince Aldon sai-"
"I’m pregnant"
"What?" Her eyes went wide in shock. "But it’s tradition to wait until the Ceremony. I guess Prince Aldon was very impatient" she muses.
And at instinct, my face scrunched up in disgust. Hells no!
"I’m not pregnant for him!"
She looked at
dumbfounded, her mouth hanging and I could see the unsaid questions in her eyes.
"Adina"
At the sudden deep voice, we turned to it and Aldon was there, leaning against the doorway with his arms folded.
"Leave us"
Adina said nothing as she bowed and quickly rushed out of the room, I kept my stern gaze on Aldon as he walked towards .
"How do you feel?"
"You tried to kill , ’again’..." I said with clenched teeth and he frowned.
"I tried to kill that inside you, but it appears her aura is too stubborn" he leveled his eyes at my tummy and look like he could burn a hole into it, maybe he might do it but there was no way in hell I will let him harm her again, over my dead body.
"This place... everyone, they are all ghosts"
Sothing flashed in his eyes and then a smile followed on his lips. "Your mories"
"Yes Aldon, I rember everything, how you destroyed Aethel out of rage and how you cursed my husband into thinking I was the fairy he seeks so that he would bring
back to this dinsion where you would have a hold of
again"
"He is not your husband!" he growled.
