"She doesn’t love , then why would she curse her own daughter for eternity... I cannot go back to my mate because of this, for my fate of love has been mismatched to a man I do not love or even see that way, what greater curse is that? When your own mother wishes you unhappiness, tell ! Is that a Mother’s love?"

At my heartfelt outburst, prolonged silence plagued us. My pain, my anguish, everything fell into the air and mixed around us, I panted because it took every bit of my strength to release such infatuation. It just hurt so much, and saying it out loud made it deeper.

The Handler’s brown eyes shone in sadness. "I do not know where you co from..." he began bringing his cup of tea to his lips, he breathed on the steam that ca from the top due to the hotness. "...or what she has done to cause you so much pain," he settled the cup back on the table. "But I do believe every being has their reasons to be driven so far"

His brown eyes were on mine. "Tell young Fox what could her reason possibly be for causing such a curse upon you?!"

My eyes trembled, and my teeth clenched together. "She hates him... and" I paused as my eyes were shocked.

☆☆☆

"Everything I have done was for you, to set an example," she said as her jaw tightened.

"No" I shook my head. I looked around. "I have to get out of here, away from you"

"Calm down child" she ca to .

"Stay away!" I barked. "What is this place, where am I?!" I demanded staring daggers at her.

She sighed. "Your Fox blood was triggered, in that very mont I called your soul here so that I can talk to you"

"Take back, I want to go back to Nicklaus, now!"

"Magnus again?" she said sternly. "How long will you drift away from because of that monster"

"He’s not a monster you never liked him to begin with!"

"Is that so my child, then tell why he’s planning to invade our Realm"

I paused. "What?"

"You do not know, I thought you were his mate," she said the word mate in disdain.

"You’re lying, there’s no way Nicklaus will do such"

"Open your eyes, Yelena, that man is not what he seems, he despises because I put him under a curse, he will do anything to have his way and you. Your fate was dood the mont you let that man defile you!"

"Lies, all lies!" I stood my ground.

She paused. "Your mories are being blocked" she stated as her eyes narrowed. "Seems like you’re yet to know what man you claim to love" she nods her head. "Let set you free"

☆☆☆

Our last encounter flushed through my head, her words, her anings! She said sothing about Nicklaus planning to invade the Sun Realm, but I can’t possibly believe that, because Nicklaus would never do such. I shook my head, he would never.

Her words about my mories being blocked were the sa as what Alaric said to when I first t him.

☆☆☆

"Alaric Darkmore, Empress" he introduced. "And you must be my brother’s mate... one I have heard exciting stories about", he brought out his hand and I knew what he was asking for.

"Yelena Darkmore," I said, giving him my hand. He took it and brushed a kiss on my knuckles. "Exquisite" he comnted, his voice, his looks everything was identical to Nicklaus but the only difference was his style. His charms were almost identical to Nicklaus.

"So the great Fox goddess is now a mortal?" He raised an eyebrow. "Funny I sll your Fox blood, it is awakened but yet sothing is blocking that part of you" his eyes narrowed. "And your mories too"

☆☆☆

"My mories," I said faintly.

"If that was her reason, do you think it was worth it?" The handler asked .

"I do not know... because I do not understand anything anymore," I said, bending my head, my nine tails falling to the ground and no longer swaying behind because I was feeling downhearted. "I feel so lost," I said, my body shaking.

"Are you lost, young fox?" he asked. I leisurely t his eyes. "I’m but a Handler tasked with guiding ones who wish to find their ways, It has been so for as long as I could rember, I have seen different nature of people finding their ways to several realms they cannot find," he said as if reminiscing the millenniums, he gave a heavy sigh.

"I t a boy once, I asked him the sa question I asked you, and do you know what he said to ?"

He must be talking about Nicklaus, I rembered clearly what he told the Handler.

"I’m not lost, for I have co here seeking to find the Holy library, Handler," I said under my breath but he didn’t hear , he was yet to know about my connection with Nicklaus.

"He said; I’m not lost, for I have co here seeking to find the Holy library, Handler" he mused. "It was my first encounter with soone who would walk up to destiny and say such, his eyes, those cold green eyes I saw darkness but I also saw a young boy who wants to overco the feeling of an insignificant being and sorted power above all else and also for the sake of his people, he was willing to ride into the unknown in search of sothing called fate"

My eyes narrowed. "Fate," I said faintly. A strong word with several deep anings, I was able to turn the tide of my fate when I first t Nicklaus in the Mortal Realm as I walked down the aisle, my fate led as a silver-haired lead to him in his hands and his cold yet warm embrace. And then it was that sa Fate that caused him to sacrifice his soul to break his curse because it was affecting and the sa Fate that led to break mine to choose love over duties.

The sa Fate that reunited us after I did and yet the sa Fate that has driven us apart, Fate was cruel and yet so pleasant, our decisions are what makes Fate fall into those two parts. The decisions and choices we choose to follow are what make Fate both Cruel and Pleasant.

"That young boy was lost but found his way towards what he believed, I heard he is now known as Magnus the great vampire god, funny how destiny can catch up with you, a boy made of ice and darkness"

My body flinched at his words.

"rely those who say his na trembled, but I wondered what could have tad such a wild beast, I also heard a rumor that he was cursed, I didn’t hear much afterward but I did hear a certain goddess stole his heart, and soul and there was a slim light in a boy once consud in darkness" he mused. "For as I said, love is a mysterious thing that depends on its wielder which is either-"

"Powerful or destructive, salvation or darkness" I answered for him and then he smiled and nodded his head, hiding his hands in the sleeves of his white kimono jacket.

"I have to rember," I said in a strong realization. "I have to rember the past for answers lie there"

"A Fox has found her way then..." he mused his brown eyes on .

"I can’t go back... not like this," I said.

"A sole journey, I wonder which will lead to what is what"

"I have a favor to ask Handler" I began with stern eyes.

"Well a Handler such as myself does not grant a favor, I only show ways to those who need it" he smiled.

"I need to go to a Realm but I want to erase it too"

"Into hiding I see" he raised an eyebrow.

My eyes saddened, it was the only way, If I intend to find myself I have to stay away from Nicklaus although how painful it is, I wanted so badly to go to him and be in his arms again, but right now I should use my head, if Mothers words were true then Nicklaus presence was the reason for my mories being blocked, although intentionally or not, but still I believe this was the only way for I believe the answer I needed was in my past, the REAL past.

I paused at the thought I had about a real past, was there such, was there sothing there I needed to see for myself and co to an understanding. MY DEATH! My death... my eyes went wide. Yes, I died before I was able to be reincarnated, co to think of it no one has ever told how I died or said anything about it, it was like they didn’t have to and why. Nicklaus didn’t say anything and I ca to an understanding that he didn’t want to talk about it because it was a bad experience and I chose to respect that.

"Where does our young Fox wish to go and erase?" the Handler asked and then I raised my stern gaze to et him.

"The Spirit Realm... where it all began"
