"So tell Yelena how was the outing with Nicklaus yesterday," Celeste asked as we both sauntered through the grand halls.

"It was brilliant!" I remarked still rembering the quantity of ti we spent together.

"I see, no wonder you’re gleaming this morning" she mused.

I felt my cheeks. "Am I?" I asked, blushing.

"Well there is this certain glow, I can tell" she winked. I giggled. "You’re happy and it’s good"

"You know he told all about his tale about how he beca the first magical vampire, and more the Holy Library"

Celeste stopped in her tracks at my words. "He did?" she asked, almost stunned.

"Yes," I intoned.

"Wow Nicklaus barely talks about his adventures"

"Really?"

She nods.

"Oh... but surely he must have told you his experiences within the Holy Library"

She shook her head in a no. "We only just know he has been there, that’s why you’re special Yelena, I’m sure you now know more about him,"

I forced a smile nodding. She smiled, placing her hand on my shoulder. "You should know anything he does is for you"

"Funny... he said the exact sa words," I said, blinking puzzled. "Tell Celeste, is there sothing I should know?"

"Not at all Yelena" she smiled, but I felt like she was holding off sothing but I couldn’t tell what.

"How’s your body, felt any changes as you were?" she changed the topic, I wanted to brag about her words but I kept my mouth shut. I had a feeling I should not ask now, but that doesn’t an I will let it slide.

"Only that I’m in heat," I said as we continued our walk.

"Ah, the heat part... one of the qualities of a shifter such as yourself, I’m sure Nicklaus is helping out in that aspect" she mused giving that look.

I blushed at her words. "He is my mate after all" I shrugged, biting my bottom lip, rembering the ti we spent together.

"Your Fox blood is becoming more prominent, your looks are just as angelic as it was before, I’m afraid I still haven’t found anything that can stop it, I’m worried for you Yelena"

"Nicklaus said all I had to do was to will it and stop it but... why stop sothing as such as myself, I told him I want to embrace it"

"It is not as easy as it sounds, Yelena... its a risk for your Mortal body"

"I know that, both of you have been saying that stuff all the ti, it’s truly a part of then I think I can handle it"

She was about to say sothing but I cut her off. "Please" were my words as I walked away.

I folded my arms, solely sauntering through the hall, I stopped at a window that showed the view of the garden, planted with white flowers. I sighed deeply taking in the view, I missed the colorful flowers, it has been a while since I saw them.

"Alone, Empress?"

I whirled at the familiar voice seeing Alaric, walking towards with a smile, hands behind his back as he walked majestically.

"Well if it isn’t the god of lust himself"

"Ha, I see... Nicklaus told you my tale, he should have left the best part for though" he mused.

"I still can’t believe that an intelligent man like you will fancy won in such a way, you truly are a knowledgeable man"

"I told you I was... and besides there are wonderful experiences when you’re with ladies..."

"Please I do not want to know about that" I cringed.

He barked a pearl of laughter, gosh it sounded like Nicklaus, it was still hard to wrap my head about them not being related by blood, seems that’s how it works here, they are rely just siblings from the sa branch tree, gosh it’s still confusing if I think of it.

"Well I do not an that, I an when with different won you realize that there are different characteristics, ideals, likes, and so many things that make them differ"

"Well, you should know that is the case for a lady," I shrugged.

"Yes indeed and sotis that ideals and all sorts crash with the males because they do not view it the sa as the females but when one finds their mate" he took a deep breath. "Everything about yours becos theirs, an interesting theory"

I smiled. "Indeed", I trailed my eyes to the garden, I sighed deeply.

"Let guess, the flowers bore you"

"How did you..."

"Your Realm is a Spirit Forest, surely white flowers aren’t to your taste" he shrugged. "Shall I show you a more interesting view?" he smirks.

Alaric led out of the building, my shoes marching the snow puddles and then I gaze up ahead seeing a glasshouse bigger than any I have ever seen. "That’s..."

"Yes a greenhouse"

"I had no idea there was one"

He chuckled. "Well now you do"

The glass doors barged open and then we walked it and I saw the most beautiful of flowers, all colorful.

"I thought there were only white flowers in this Realm," I said amazed, there were even roses.

He raised an eyebrow. "Where did you think they got the flowers you used in planning your ball?"

"Well I thought they had to descend the Mortal Realm for it"

"Nonsense! They got it from here"

"I’m glad to know that, at least I have a more interesting view to look upon other than boring white flowers" I rolled my eyes.

And Alaric’s smile broadened, his eyes shone slightly and I could see the purple mix in them.

"I see you still love flowers," he mused.

My eyes narrowed. "Tell Alaric, did we know each other? In my past life" I asked curious about that theory.

He did prolonged thinking but I knew he was intentionally doing it. "Well as Nicklaus told you my tale... did he also tell you my incident with a maiden that was mated"

"Yes"

"And how Nicklaus was so pissed and threaten to destroy "

"He did not say that"

"I see she left the important details then"

"Well in the chase I stumbled upon a Realm... which was yours"

"So we did et and then you said we haven’t" I intoned.

"Surely you do not justify that as a eting?" he raised an eyebrow. "An encounter with soone special is a one thing event especially when you see that one gem for the first ti, it’s considered magically and not to be interrupted"

"Are you saying I’m special?" I mused. He certainly has his way with words.

He looked serious and then I saw sothing in his eyes I couldn’t quite place but for so reason, I think I found the aning in it, for it was identical to the way Nicklaus looks at .

"I’m saying you’re the most shimring belle that I have ever set my eyes upon"

My lips fell apart slightly at his words, our gaze on each other for what seed like minutes and then I knew just then.

He quickly looks away, seeming to realize what he has just done. "I shouldn’t have said that," he said in a whisper but I heard him, his jaw tightened and his fist clenched.

I was about to say sothing but then I felt a spark of pain in my chest. I groaned, placing my fist on it.

"Lena!" Alaric panicked as he held still. My breath beca raspy and I was unable to contain it.

"Lena, breathe... breathe" Alaric tried to calm down but his words were just echoing in my ears. My breath increased like I was having a panic attack and then my legs gave out but Alaric held in his arms. He said sothing to but I couldn’t hear it, his words were deaf to my ears, suddenly it wasn’t my chest anymore but my body and my temperature increased and my vision blurry.

Alaric kept saying sothing, his looks in extre worry, but I couldn’t hear and I couldn’t see him anymore, a fading pain and then darkness.

I gasped like I was drowning and then I opened my eyes, I took in the newfound environnt I was in, just blank white, just white, and nothing else, I looked around wondering, was I dead? Did I die so suddenly, I panicked thinking of the horror of it.

"No," I said looking around hoping there was a way out, I can’t just die like that? It didn’t seem fair.

"Hello child"

I froze at the sudden voice, it was very familiar and I felt a rush of feeling overwhelm my body.

I didn’t turn, I didn’t know if I should, and then suddenly the white background cleared revealing a forest, just like the one I always dream of... the Spirit Forest and then I finally found the courage to turn, and the realization struck when setting my eyes on who was before , the realization, the familiarity.
