Chapter 222: Epilogue

☆☆☆

I gasped out like I was drowning and flashed my eyes open, while panting.

"gods Yelena!"

My eyes darted to Alaric who was in shock, he held two crying babies.

"My babies" I was on my feet the next.

"You were dead Yelena, H-How..."

"The first, where is my first?!"

His eyes saddened, he was about to speak but then a portal opened and we whirled, that very mont Nicklaus walked in with Mint. I saw my first in his arms.

The mont Nicklaus set his eyes on , he was in shock, I didn’t know how I did it, maybe vampire speed? I was hugging him and I kissed him deeply and he kissed

back.

"H-How?" his gaze on

trembled, it must have felt like he was dreaming but this was real!

"I will explain," I said as we rested our foreheads together. The coughing sound of our son caught our attention and tears filled my eyes as I hugged him.

"How is this possible?"

"Basker"

"Basker?"

Few Months Later

I held my first born son, William in my arms, he laughed as I rocked him and I gave him a weak smile. Logan, my second son and Sylvia, my daughter, were with Olivia and Mint.

"It’s ti" I turned at the sound of Nicklaus’ weak voice. He has been distraught ever since I told him everything but he remained lively for my sake.

"This is all my fault" he began looking away. "If I haven’t sought power"

"Nicklaus we talked about this, do not bla yourself" I said softly and he set his eyes back on . "I believe this is not forever, our misfortune is over, he WILL co back to us when its ti"

"How do you know that?"

I smiled. "Because you found

all these years, he WILL find us. Always and forever"

"Always and forever"

The portal opened and a deer stepped out holding a basket big enough for William, and I knew just then it was a spirit animal from the library. She dropped the basket.

"Basker said you need not worry, he also gave

a prophecy" she spoke.

"What prophecy?"

"A fairy shall reunite all"

"A fairy?" I said, puzzled. I wish she could say more but that was all.

William pulled on my hair while sucking on his thumb, and my eyes darted to him, he was so beautiful, he took my hair but his fathers eyes. Nicklaus ca behind , I didn’t know how long we stayed like that, watching him as he gazed upon us with those big green eyes of his, so drizzling.

I sobbed as tears filled my eyes and I reached for a kiss on his forehead, Nicklaus did too. I dropped a small box beside him, tucking it under his blanket just like we planned and then I did sothing both of us never thought we would, he let him go.

We watched as the deer walked back into the white portal and then I broke into tears. Nicklaus wrapped his arms around him and I did too.

Do not worry my William, I believe we shall reunite one day, I wish you all the happiness any mother would give and I believe what lay ahead of you is nothing but wonders, I pray you found love just as I have, and that love just as mine will be our salvation.

At Celeste’s head stone, filled with flowers, Alaric placed his.

"Hello little sister," Alaric began with a smile on his lips. "Lena told

you’re in a better place watching over us, I hope you’re, mostly " he added cockily. "Spent so ti here so I have decided to continue my travel, a lot has happened since you left us, a lot" he nods his head. "I..." he sighed.

"I finally understand why I have been attracted to Lena. I know I know... since you’re watching I’m sure you have already figured it out. god’s Celeste her eyes are so beautiful, she’s wonderful but I cannot accept it, I don’t think I ever can which is why I’m leaving, its whats best, she need to grow up and live her life and hopefully one day find a mate more deserving" he hoist to his feet. "This is the best advice I can give myself, ’’ he added in a low tone.

"I thought I might find you here" he turned at the voice, it was Bartholow, he dropped his own bunch of flowers.

"Prince William is now the new heir to the Holy Library, they ca for him"

"I see," Alaric said sternly. "I believe our story doesn’t end here, do you?"

He forced a smile. "The Empress gave

Lady Celeste’s ssage" he sighed. "I wish I told her how much her loved her"

"She wouldn’t have accepted it, Celeste is stubborn, she never wanted a mate"

"I know and I respect her decision, I still do with all my heart. My advice to you Alaric when you find your mate hold onto her and never let her go"

Alaric gulped at his words.

"I heard you’re leaving us"

"Y-Yes, but will co visit"

"I doubt that, I know you Alaric you intend to disappear again"

"But not entirely... like I said our story doesn’t end here" he parted his shoulder. "Take care of brother will you"

"I do not need to hear that from you"

Alaric chuckled already walking away, he paused for a minute staring at the skies, he would miss this particular skies.

The End

☆☆☆

AN: Thank you everyone for your patience and ti all through this magical adventure with Yelena, Nicklaus, Alaric, Celeste, Olivia and Mint. This may not have t everyone’s expectation for an ending but this is the story and also the story of fire and ice has co to an end! As you can sense there will mostly be a book 2 or so, still thinking about it, but it’s certain where this is going. Also it breaks my heart that Celeste is gone, I really loved her and hoped for her and Bartholow to finally co to terms with their relationship but so things are just ant to be.

And also please do not hate

for baby William, it was already destined and the only way to create a balance, it’s his destiny to be the heir to the Holy Library even before Young Nicklaus struck that bargain, Basker already saw it coming! He’s an Avatar after all ;-)

And also can anyone guess who Alaric is trying to avoid as his mate? lol, comnt here!

Thank you all so much for your support and it was the best 6 months for

ever since I started this book, I learnt a lotta things!
