Chapter 175: Storytelling

¤●¤

The sun shone brightly in the Spirit Forest and it couldn’t be more beautiful, I was awake and out of the cottage house, more like I couldn’t sleep because of how eager I was. My eyes scanned the area, seeing the other animals engaging in several activities, either talking or taking a walk, mostly walking, it seed like their morning routine.

I smiled at the scene, it felt refreshing.

"Okay, our first lesson will be simple"

I turned to see the gang walking towards .

"Yes... what do we have to do first?" I asked, getting ready, the gang agreed to help

beco one with the forest and embrace my true self, it was the only way the Waterfall of truth will embrace .

"Well your Fox is the main thing," Ava said, placing her paws on her waist.

"Right... my Fox," I said with a deep breath.

"Seems like you cannot control your shift," she said, she guessed right and I stroked a nod.

"That could be the problem..." Gideon conveyed. "You haven’t accepted that part of yourself yet"

I smiled. "I see... When I was in the Vampire Realm, I was told I shouldn’t embrace it, and now it’s the opposite. Funny how views turn"

"Wait, you were in the Vampire Realm all this ti?" Puma said, stunned, the other two were too.

I bit my bottom lip, Uh-Oh! They don’t know that yet, I haven’t exactly told them where I have been until now.

"Y-Yes"

"With Magnus?" Gideon said, folding his arms. Right... they knew about Nicklaus, this was the place we t after all, so it’s only neutral they knew him.

"I heard he suddenly broke free of the curse the Mother goddess bestowed on him," Puma said.

"Yes, I heard too," Ava said, suddenly it was just an inside talk between the gang.

"Can we not talk about this yet?" I asked.

"You owe us an explanation," Gideon said sternly and Puma tapped his small head with his large paws.

"Ow! Why did you do that?!"

"She doesn’t want to talk about it so leave her be," Puma said.

"No!" I cut them off, taking a deep sigh. "I think it’s high ti you all knew... it’s still part of being true to myself" I announced.

I took a deep breath... This was for the best, no more running away.

☆☆☆

"And so that’s it," I said with a sigh after 3 hours of storytelling. Their expressions weren’t exactly sothing I expected, they were literally lost for words the whole ti I started. I started from the Mortal Realm, my ti there, and every other thing that followed and of course, I left out the details about Nicklaus and , those were personal I just gave the other details and my reason for coming here.

"You are the Empress of the Vampire Realm?!" Ava yelled.

"Yes!"

"That’s so crazy... Why are you here then?! I trust Magnus wouldn’t have let this slide, a whole army of vampires would be looking for you!" Gideon conveyed.

"Have you forgotten Gideon, she’s cursed that’s why she had to leave the Vampire Realm, weren’t you listening?!" Puma snapped at him with a growl.

"But Gideon is right, we’re talking about the god of Vampire here," Ava said, shivering slightly. "He’s not exactly the kind of god that lets soone getaway"

"I know... I know he won’t take it lightly which is why I sorted a favor from the Handler"

Ava gasped. "You an... the Handler of the borders? You saw him?"

I stroke a nod.

"So there’s no need to worry... this Realm does not exist on the plane... I made sure of it, so there will be no interruptions" I assured them.

Gideon chuckled nervously. "We’re talking about Magnus here... I don’t think a trick like this can hold him for long"

"What?"

They nodded. Seeing their faces, they seed convinced by that fact, but I knew I went through extra asures, there was no way he would find

here, right?

"News! News!"

At the sudden loud voice, we turned as a reindeer approached us with speed.

"What is it, Vixen?" Puma asked.

The brown Reindeer ca to a halt panting. "I heard the news from the Sun Realm" he began. "The Mother goddess is dead"

My body stilled as my eyes slowly went wide and then I looked away.

"What?! What happened?" Ava demands.

I backed them, my lips pressed in a thin line. "I expected such to happen because of my eternal curse," I said faintly but they heard. I knew very well she used her life source in exchange for making my Curse eternal.

I faced them back. "Co on we have things to do," I said walking away.

☆☆☆

"Do you think she’s sad?"

"I don’t know I can’t tell"

"Well she doesn’t seem like it"

"What do you expect... we know the reason why the Mother goddess suddenly died, its because of the curse she laid on her’’

"It’s so sad"

"Shush! Let’s not bring it up again"

"No, you shush!"

"Shush!"

"Shush!"

"Shush!"

"SHUSH!"

"You guys!" I yelled facing them. "Just..." I took a deep breath. "Just stop okay... I can clearly hear you"

"Sorry," they said in unison with sad faces.

"Thank you," I said, running my hands through my hair and licking my lips.

"So first we will start with your shifting" Ava began grinning, hoping to move on to the main event, at least she was the smart one.

"But before that... you will engage with every animal in the spirit Forest," Gideon said, pointing his paws to the skies.

"Engage?"

"Yes.. like talking with them, getting to know them, a way of understanding their spirits, you understand them, you understand your Fox," Puma said.

I took a deep breath... I have a feeling there is much work to do, I faced the view of the forest and all the creatures that graced it.

It was ti to be a Guardian, ti to reconnect with my past.

☆☆☆

I groaned on the bed I laid, it felt so soft and made my sleep the best, I smiled in response and the pillow too was so fluffy, I snuggled more to it, this was the best, the best bed and the best sleep, best I have ever craved for and it only seed to get better. I felt a strong arm around my waist and my eyes suddenly flashed open but I remained still.

"Are you awake my love
