Chapter 156: The Tale Of The First Magical Vampire {4}

¤●¤

Young Nicklaus stood before the border of the Realm, the center of it all, before him was a long thin line reaching the heavens with heavy dark clouds, the thin line glowed like strings in a straight line showing an opening, the rest of the environnt was nothing but a dark forest, quiet as the ocean but the dark clouds brought in clamorous thunder that shock the earth.

Nicklaus took a long look at it before sauntering towards the border, the thunder beca louder and louder but he didn’t faze. He wasn’t so sure if he gets to the border he would be able to locate the library, the border of the Realms was like a center gate created way before ti itself, a representation of the Realms in the universe, going in he would just go to any Realm of his choosing, but he wasn’t so sure he would be able to locate the Holy library.

Although Alaric said it might be possible because he was chosen to be the first and the last to encounter it. Putting that aside the Holy library was not tethered to the other Realms, there was no anchor leading to it, going in there now was just a hunch.

Nicklaus stopped in front of the border, his erald eyes fixed on it.

"Are you lost, boy?" At the sudden voice he snapped towards it. Seeing an old man with long beard and hair, milky white, his clothes white too and jewelry graced his neck, seeing the ornant Nicklaus realized what it was and its aning.

This man must be the Handler, an ancient being tasked with the duty of guiding anyone through the border to whatever destination they wanted to be, although so magical beings possess abilities to portal to other Realms, so Realms were not able to be located except they use the border.

The old man sips his tea, he sat beneath a tree inside a pavilion, like a picnic was lay out there and, the land in which the pavilion was on... was in a circle format and the grasses was the greenest of the all, at the edge of the land was a stream with lotus flowers on then, it was a wondrous sight, he might be a Handler spending eternity in this forest but he was sure making the best of it.

Nicklaus walked to the old man but didn’t cross over to the pavilion, he shall make his request and the Handler shall grant it.

"I’m not lost, for I have co here seeking to find the Holy library, Handler" at his bold and fearless words, the Handler spilled his tea, coughing. Nicklaus cringed at the sight.

His gray eyes et the young boy who has just started the impossible, and then he burst into a pearl of laughter, it echoed in the entire path.

"What’s so funny?" Nicklaus asked through clenched teeth but the damn old man kept laughing.

"What are you saying boy? The Holy Library? Who put such fantasies in your head" he said in amusent. "Now boy go ho, if you don’t have anywhere else to go to" he added, going back to sipping his tea, this kid must have strayed too far from ho and ca and asked for the impossible. How long has it been since soone said those words to him?

"I’m not a kid," Nicklaus said, irritated before pulling down his hood.

"I see you’re a vampire" the Handler said observing him, Nicklaus stern eyes on him. "Still doesn’t change the fact that you want the impossible".

"The Holy library only appears to those chosen, right?"

"Yes it is as you said and no one... no one has been chosen for a thousand years, now go away" he waved his hand as a signal for him to get out.

"Try "

"What did you say?" he was caught off guard by his words.

"I said try "

The Handler gave Nicklaus a prolonged look, there was sothing he couldn’t quite place about this young Vampire, his looks and presence radiated sothing he had never seen before, could he be the ONE?

"Co over here young one lem see you more closely" he motioned with a finger, his eager brown eyes on the boy who caught his interest.

Nicklaus passed the mini bridge before walking to the pavilion, he stopped just right at the table.

"You know not everyday soone cos here and demands for what you just did. Many have sought what you ca for and I have told them the sa answer, so many of them that I have lost count... tell

young Vampire what makes you think you’re different"

"I have never felt the sa as others... I have never been put in the sa level as anyone, I’m told I’m great because of a grace my ancestors rested upon I and my siblings, my people are told not to make contact with us because we are consider a treasure"

"And you hate this?"

"I dislike it because they have assumptions of us and expectations but I have my own curiosity I must see to and I do not want to hindered by re grace, yes a grace, but what have that grace done aside than isolate

from thing I wish to grasp"

An interesting young lad he was. "What do you want to obtain?
