Diamond looked at the dam with a smile on her face. It was quite large, even bigger than the farm on the first farm.
With such a big dam, there would be sufficient water to last for generations, as long as the water seed remained seeded there.
Foreseeing such a future, Diamond, without feeling bothered by Cain’s presence, flicked her hand and a blue crystal flew to the center of the dam before vanishing.
This was the first ti that Cain was seeing sothing like that. It looked magical and ethereal.
He had always known that his boss did sothing to the dam for it to never go dry. He just didn’t know what exactly she did. And yet on this day, he saw her doing it.
He didn’t know what that blue crystal was, but seeing it disappearing after entering the dam, his heart thumped like crazy as his face flushed.
’She trusts fully!’ he felt so excited, he looked at her, trembling with joy.
Diamond sensed a gaze on her. She couldn’t help but look to the side, only to find Cain looking at her with a reverent gaze. Seeing that, a smile blossod on her face as her eyes squinted.
"Cain, whatever happens here, remain between us. You understand that, right?" she said, a mysterious glint in her eyes.
Thud.
Cain didn’t respond in the way she expected, but suddenly fell on his knees. It made Diamond who had never faced such a situation to be dumbfounded.
"You_" Diamond raised her hand, wanting to speak, but then Cain cut her words midway.
"Miss, thank you for trusting . I swear with the na of my deity that I will serve you always with fealty and will never betray this trust you have placed on ," Cain began to earnestly swear his allegiance. It made Diamond speechless.
Cain, seeing her silent, felt like his words didn’t reach her sincerely, so h continued pouring his heart.
And since he was on his knees, the construction guys seeing that particular scene halted for a mont as they talked amongst themselves.
"Do you think that the lady boss is perhaps dissatisfied with him?"
"It should be the case. Otherwise, he shouldn’t be kneeling like that."
"Tsk. Tsk. Money surely knows how to make the world go around."
"Stop yapping like won and get back to work. Do you want to be the next people kneeling?"
And that ended the fiasco on that side.
Returning to Diamond’s side, she was still listening to Cain’s allegiance on the surface but currently engaged in a divine sense conversation with the space fairy.
’Are you sure that it’s alright like that?’
[Um. He is a good seed. He is trustworthy. Besides, if he betrays you or has such thoughts, we can just erase his mories and those of the people that he tells. It’s that simple.]
Diamond sighed when she heard that. ’I guess I can only continue to trust him and accept this allegiance. It will be helpful.’
[Um. It will be. Always rember to use the people that you trust. The second that you hire them, put so faith in them.]
’Sure. I will.’
The conversation ended and Diamond looked at Cain with a smile as she stretched her hands towards him.
That simple action brought tears to Cain’s eyes as he reached for Diamond’s soft hands before getting back to his feet.
"I trust you and I hope that you will continue to work in earnest. You shall e rewarded," Diamond promised with a smile.
Cain grinned widely, his eyes squinting and narrowing into slits. "You won’t regret it!"
Diamond didn’t respond to that but looked towards the dam as she said, "the dam will fill up slowly. I don’t know how long it will take, but during this ti, proceed with the other steps. You need to start planting as soon as possible. And don’t forget the fish once the dam is full."
"Don’t worry, Miss. Most of the things are already ready. I have purchased the seeds ......"
Diamond listened attentively to the plans formulated already and nodded her head with a smile on her face.
"We have gathered a lot of old maize and dried vegetables. Should we sell them?"
Diamond had nearly forgotten about that matter since she was concentrating on other things.
"Um. Sell them and talk to Cindy or Agatha and see if they can sell the dried vegetables at the shop. If people like it, then sell more."
To make dried vegetables, all kinds of vegetables work. In a day, there tend to be leftover vegetables which at tis could not be sold. Those vegetables, rather than throwing away, they could be made into dried vegetables. Which had a long shelf line and could be eaten at any ti in the future.
So, it wouldn’t hurt to give a try. There might be other people who want them. The drought season was still scary and who knows when the rain would truly earnestly fall and give people relief?
Cain and Diamond talked for a while as they watched the dam. In the ti that they were standing there, the level of water had increased, though not that too visible to a person who didn’t keep an eye on it.
Seeing the water seed working, Diamond was at ease.
It was getting late, and ti to leave. She had seen enough.
So, after checking the second farm, she left with Cain for the first farm, where she checked the green houses and harvested several herbs.
She planned to concoct more tea pills. The cafes were too popular, the daily sales she estimated before were now a number of the past.
The other ingredients, she was going to let Garnet buy the rest. That way, she could start the job as soon as possible.
After dealing with the farm issues, Diamond drove back ho with a smile.
She didn’t forget to contact the twins on her way back. The girls arrived safely, and that was sothing worthy of being celebrated.
