The next day, Diamond left her house early in the morning without even eating breakfast as she had to leave for the farm.

Since there was a distance from the farm, Diamond didn’t want to leave late. Besides, it was just too hot and driving late despite the great air conditioning of the car, would be suffocating.

As for Ruby, she was a big girl and would hassle once she got hungry.

On her way to the farm, Diamond stopped by a fast-food restaurant and bought so breakfast, which she hurriedly ate before resuming her journey.

Driving on the road, a few kiloters to the farm, a wonderful and familiar notification sounded in her mind.

[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]

It’s been a while since the system made her sign in during the day. There was no logic when it ca to the tis that she needed to sign in, as the ti changes all the ti.

However, she was glad to see that she gets to sign in so early as that would stop her from staying up late so that she wouldn’t miss the ti for her daily signing-in.

’Sign in!’ how could she not dare sign in when she was looking forward to what rewards she would be getting?

[Ding! You have been rewarded with a portable 9 square ters garden.]

’What the _?’ Diamond was shocked when she heard that.

Since when did portable gardens beco a thing? She couldn’t help but wonder.

So, to get the answers that she needed, she handed over the steering wheel to Andrea and began to check the details under the portable garden.

From what she saw, the portable garden was indeed a garden. Unlike the type of garden people make themselves, this type of advanced garden seed to be made in the interstellar period.

The garden was self-sufficient in terms of nutrients. All she would need to do was find a place to set it up, plant so seeds and water the garden normally.

The crops planted in the garden all will have a short maturity ti. The garden would be like a miniature version of the Golden Space but diluted several tis.

After reading all the information, Diamond felt like she was on cloud nine.

’I will set it at the villa. It’s high ti I have my own vegetable garden at ho. With Janet around, I won’t need to worry about anything else.’ She thought to herself as she took over the wheel.

After driving a while, Diamond took the turn and headed for the farm.

The gate to the farm was open and every ti she ca to the farm, she saw several cars parked, probably belonging to the custors who prefer buying straight from the farm itself.

Diamond didn’t park where visitors parked, but drove straight to the farmhouse and parked her car under the shed.

Before getting out, Diamond made sure that she had everything that she wanted and got out of the car.

"Lady boss! You are here, finally!" Carl was enthusiastic as always, making Diamond smile warmly upon seeing him.

"Um. I ca early, didn’t I?" Diamond teasingly stated as she walked towards the older man.

"Hehe, any ti is tea ti, but love how you ca early!" he said straightforwardly.

Unlike the early days when he was a bit constrained and afraid of expressing himself, Carl now had confidence and it was the kind that made Diamond see a lot of potential in him.

"Then let’s get this done with. I bet that you have been waiting for a while now!" Diamond smilingly said as she thought of how Carl must have been anxious to get his hands on the fertilizer.

Grinning ear to ear, Carl jovially responded, "You have no idea. I have already prepared everything. Please follow !"

With his enthusiasm, Diamond didn’t dilly dally and happily followed Carl with her handbag containing the fertilizer in hand.

On the way, Carl excitedly explained to Diamond what they had been up to on the farm and everything.

After walking for ten minutes or so, they finally arrived at the recently turned land.

"You have outdone yourself!" Diamond couldn’t help but praise Carl for his dedication.

"Lady boss, I am just doing my job. Besides, I have a feeling that this year will be tough!" he grimaced as he looked up to the clear sky.

Seeing him like that, Diamond couldn’t help but smile. "I am glad that you have discerning eyes. Indeed, it’s going to be a hard year!"

Carl, upon hearing Diamond agreeing with his words, turned hastily and looked at her with shock.

"Boss, this.... Will it be bad?" he asked worriedly, concern visible in his voice.

"Um. It will be. So, if you haven’t talked with your family yet, you better do it fast. However, if they are not willing to co to this side, it’s still fine. I will take care of you!" Diamond reminded Carl upon recalling how she once urged Carl to bring his family over.

Carl smiled happily upon hearing that.

"Don’t worry, Lady Boss. I have already talked with them and they said that they need to process the docunts first. Month end of January, they will be coming!" Carl responded.

Upon hearing that, Diamond’s eyes lit up. "That’s good then. Once they arrive, tell . I will sort their docunts and find a suitable job for them. Talking about docunts, is yours still valid?" she asked as she sized him.

Carl grinned as he waved his hands dismissively. "There are still six months till my permits expire. I just need to renew them in the last three months."

Diamond heaved with relief upon hearing that. "Just don’t forget that your boss is capable. Getting you permits isn’t a big deal."

"I know and trust you, boss."

"And rember that I don’t want to see anyone without legal docunts. If soone really wants to work at the farm, we can discuss and I will help them in getting everything that they need," Diamond sternly reminded.

"I have always borne that in mind. Don’t worry."

"That’s good then. Anyway, I have seen the land. You can have this and ....." Diamond began to elaborate further as she took out the fertilizer from her handbag, handing it over to Carl.

When Carl saw the familiar bottle, but just bigger than that one, his smile widened as he listened with sparkling eyes as Diamond explained what needed to be done this ti around.

Carl was quick-witted, so Diamond didn’t need to keep on repeating the sa thing. After telling him what he needed to do, Diamond excused herself upon seeing how anxious Carl was already.

As a result, Diamond leaves Carl to finish the job he really loved, while she drops by the lake to deal with the future water problems everyone will be facing soon.
