Chapter 312: Chapter 310: Co Here, Let Devour You!_1 Chapter 312: Chapter 310: Co Here, Let Devour You!_1 “Charge! Charge! Charge!”
Her Majesty’s Guard led the formation of the team, initiating a mass charge at a grand scale.
At this mont, the charging troop consisting of hundreds of people was like a sharp blade cutting through the stream, forcibly carving out a path through the murky, deep red waters ahead.
Monsters that had survived the two charges but were in their path were torn to shreds.
Three “Crimson Abyss” Containers granted with divinity appeared once again.
In the sudden explosion, they sustained so injuries, but not many, and not severe.
‘Indeed, with a bit of “Divinity”, they are too hard to kill, whether it’s control over otherworldly abilities or vitality, one can feel so kind of qualitative leap.’
Colin narrowed his eyes slightly, not surprised by this. Calling these creatures demigods would not be an exaggeration. Unless they ate an origin like that demon, ordinary people really didn’t have a good way to deal with them.
Colin even felt fortunate that, so far, he hadn’t encountered demigod creatures like the true form behind Beast Transformation Syndro.
Otherwise, just dealing with “Deadly Insight” would be enough of a headache…
However, at this mont, just as Colin was preparing to confront the enemy, he suddenly noticed several thick bolts of lightning crossing countless kiloters in the Deep Sea, then striking directly at the three divine creatures, constraining them like a cage.
In a mont of shock, Colin realized that the Queen of the Holy City had taken action!
But oddly enough, seeing that fleeting lightning, his first thought was: Wait, how could there be lightning in the sea?
Shouldn’t it blend into the ocean the instant it appeared?
Colin felt his physics knowledge had failed him.
But his astonishnt was brief. Recovering, he imdiately took advantage of the gap and pressed on towards the Holy City.
With assistance from the other side, Colin made his way smoothly across the battlefield, arriving outside the Holy City, less than a hundred ters from the blue barrier protecting it.
As they arrived, the blue barrier opened a gap just large enough for them to pass through.
Colin and the others imdiately quickened their pace…
And it was at that mont an enigmatic voice appeared in his mind:
“‘Bonfire Campsite’, your era has co to an end!”
The strange voice was filled with an indescribable sense of sublimity, the aura inherent in it made ordinary people feel compelled to submit.
“In a hurry?”
Colin imdiately felt from this aura that the voice ca from sothing beneath the Crimson Abyss.
In a roaring voice, the lightning restraining the three divine creatures burst apart, and an even more terrifying sense of oppression suddenly intensified…
Its true form was still unable to co, only able to intervene in this place through “Containers”.
‘Wasn’t certain before, but now it’s clear, this is likely one of those who were persecuted by the company back then… Tsk, the intensity of the aura is almost on par with the Twilight Angel…’
Thoughts flashed in Colin’s mind, and without paying attention to what was behind him, he led a group of Fishn through the barrier.
The barrier closed imdiately after they passed through.
Colin did not look back, heading straight for the largest hall, and soon he saw the noble “Sea Siren” Queen.
But compared to the last ti he had seen her, the Queen now appeared quite disheveled, covered in blood, looking frail, yet her deanor remained noble and calm, clutching a sceptre inlaid with blue rhombus gemstones, staring intently at Colin, whose presence was enhanced by the fierce flas.
In her eyes, the ager and slender figure radiated a majesty that even she found burdenso.
Despite her inner confusion about the flas on Colin’s body, it was undeniable that it was the “Holy Fire”, and moreover, a Holy Fire of extrely high purity!
At this mont, without any pleasantries, Colin looked towards a grand Sanctuary also protected by the barrier:
“I will represent the will of ‘Bonfire’, entering there to retrieve a Holy Relic lost from our side. But do not worry about the light diminishing, for my arrival indicates that once again, light will shine upon this place.
“All anomalies present will dissipate the mont I retrieve it.
“As for you, who walk alongside , you shall forever receive the Bonfire Blessing.”
After saying this, Colin breathed a sigh of relief inside.
He had mustered a great deal of willpower to change the exit line “Pray to , seek to beco a believer under my command” to “Walk with ,” and “I shall grant you lowly ants the privilege to bathe under the bonfire” to “You shall forever receive the Bonfire Blessing.”
If he had spoken those two sentences exactly as they were, he would have likely sparked a serious diplomatic incident.
Even so, upon hearing Colin’s words, the Queen couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, feeling the urge to rush over and punch him.
As for Dog Brother and the others, they secretly tucked their heads into the rmaid’s embrace, feeling their faces flush with heat and embarrassnt, playing the ostrich while they couldn’t help but fidget with their toes…
However, not everyone felt awkward. A Fishman stepped forward, looking up adoringly at Colin’s back:
“Mother… Her Majesty the Queen! Sir Bonfire, he really is the emissary of the Holy Fire! Chosen by the Holy Fire, the Ambassador who walks the Deep Sea on its behalf!”
“With Sir Bonfire here, better days are upon us!”
No, stop, oh my god, those things I said just to show off, how could you rember every single word… Colin felt his scalp tingle on the inside.
Little Tina, unaware of Colin’s inner turmoil, continued, “You can ask them, they can testify.”
The Queen looked toward her Guards, and seeing them all nodding vehently, she clearly had imnse faith in Colin.
Feeling the stirring Fla, she let down her guard, “Only you may enter.”
She didn’t trust Colin, but she trusted the Holy Fire. A person chosen by the Holy Fire must be truthful!
As she spoke, she handed over a blue gemstone.
“I can.” Colin nodded, accepting it.
But just as the Queen was preparing to open a pathway to let Colin into the Sanctuary, a massive vibration suddenly ca from above.
Above them, a vast crimson cluster of tentacles had launched an attack.
“The Holy Relic is in a Holy Furnace at the deepest part, a long way down. You must get there quickly; this place won’t hold much longer. If within ten minutes you haven’t done what you promised, I will completely seal off this place…”
“Three minutes will suffice.”
Colin, alone, charged into the passageway, making his way straight into the Sanctuary.
This hall was constructed of copious amounts of white gold-hued stone blocks, with a long descending staircase at the center. Flanking the staircase and lit by the flas stood rows of guards fashioned from an unknown tal.
As Colin approached, these guards turned their necks, with red dots of light shining from beneath their helts.
However, since he held the token, they did not attack him.
Colin paid no mind to these trivial figures and continued on his way.
The deeper he went, the higher the temperature of the air beca.
But for him, it wasn’t much of an issue…
After covering nearly five kiloters, he finally ca upon that so-called Holy Furnace.
The contraption was circular, with nurous pipes of varying sizes connected to it, drawing forth the fiery red energy it emitted to power the entire Holy City.
And within this circular Holy Furnace, there was only one thing ablaze—
A hand, palm up, severed at the wrist.
“You’ve got to be kidding …”
Upon seeing this, Colin fell silent, having not anticipated that when they said they were leaving a hand behind, they ant it quite literally.
But then, considering this was a Firebearer, it made sense to him all at once.
However, before Colin could ponder any further, he suddenly noticed the severed hand, which had been cut for who knows how many years, twitched, and then a middle finger lifted up.
At the tip of the middle finger, a small mouth appeared, uttering a hungry whisper:
“Hungry, so hungry, food, eat, eat, you look delicious, co here, let eat you, let eat you quickly, didn’t you want Grease? I will secrete plenty for you…”
And as the mouth on that middle finger spoke, a surge erupted within Colin, and his stomach uncontrollably grumbled, filling with an indescribable sense of hunger.
A voice he hadn’t heard in a long while, “0-9 ‘Hunger’,” exploded in Colin’s ear:
“Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!”
