Chapter 310: Chapter 308: Do Not Direct Gaze at !_1
“…If I didn’t know they were being detoxified, I’d think we were grilling fish.”
Muttering to himself, Colin stepped forward, “Give them another half an hour. If they don’t recover by then, knock them out and carry them.”
“Understood.” Tina nodded and signaled the others to take down the Sea Sirens from the grill.
As the final monts approached, Colin noticed that the monsters nearby were getting more and more outrageous. Many monsters had bizarre appearances and huge bodies, with extrely deadly ans of attack. Even just with their bodies charging, one could feel breathless.
Fortunately, apart from their size, the majority of them were all talk and no action. Colin didn’t need to lift a finger; they had already been dealt with by swarms of “Sea Sirens.”
Suddenly, Colin narrowed his eyes, his pupils instantly changing and turning vertical, barely able to glimpse an enormous circular island in the dark green deep waters.
Its diater was an astonishing ten kiloters.
Without hesitation, he affixed a badge to himself.
“Everyone get ready. Follow , and let’s break into enemy lines!”
…
anwhile, within the Holy City, the Sea Siren Queen stood outside the Sanctum of Holy Fire, holding the Scepter adorned with a delicate sapphire, her chin lifted as she stared at the chaotic battlefield overhead—
Countless bizarre creatures tirelessly and fearlessly assaulted this holy place. Among them were Pseudo-Humans, as well as many other unknown creatures and schools of fish, and so forth.
However, before they could get close, they were thwarted by a gigantic blue barrier that enveloped the Holy City like an eggshell.
Boom!
A terrifying tentacled creature slamd fiercely against the blue barrier.
Although it had yet to break through, the dreadful force within made the sanctum vibrate.
The Queen raised her Scepter, and strings of data-like symbols flashed in her pale golden eyes.
The next second, many tal spires established within the Holy City began to operate, and about a thousand of them released frost from their tops, lowering the temperature of the sea water.
Having dealt with these things frequently, she was well aware that in cold environnts, their activity would be greatly reduced, making them much easier to handle.
Indeed, all creatures contaminated by the Crimson Spores slowed in their movents.
Seeing this, the Queen waved her Scepter again, causing so spires to discharge lightning that pierced through the barrier straight into the sea.
In an instant, a large number of infected creatures turned belly up…
And those entities blessed with divinity were forced to avoid this area.
Another charge had been repelled.
Seeing the situation temporarily stable, the Queen’s Guards hurried to her side, applying magic to help the Queen regain her energy.
“These monsters used to avoid the Holy Fire before. Why are they charging straight at us this ti?” a Queen’s Guard asked in complete bewildernt.
“I don’t know. It feels like they’re rushing for so reason,” the Queen replied, also puzzled, but she could sense a feeling of urgency from those infected creatures.
That’s when a voice suddenly ca from above.
“Yield this place, and my Master promises that you will be allowed to leave safely and receive the blessing to resist the Deep Sea Call. You will even be permitted to receive Fire Radiation at intervals. Give up; there is no point in stubbornly defending this place.”
The Queen looked up following the voice and saw a strange creature made up of a mass of tentacles, but in response to the other’s words, her expression remained unchanged as she replied with just one word:
“Scram!”
The rmaids of the Sea Sirens depended on the Holy Fire for survival. Without it, they would rapidly lose their reason in the near future, becoming empty, wandering, irrational beings.
Only the Fla could preserve their humanity.
So, no matter what, they could not possibly give up this holy relic.
As for what the enemy had said about still allowing them to use it—they certainly didn’t believe that after handing it over, the enemy would still permit them to use it. If they really did that, they would truly beco at on the cutting board, completely at the rcy of others.
And so, just as the brief dialogue ended, another round of battle erupted.
This ti, the intensity of the fight suddenly escalated, the blue barrier nearly breached multiple tis.
Despite largely remaining stable, nurous enemies managed to break through.
The “Sea Siren,” already prepared, t them and engaged in close combat.
After several exchanges, blood suddenly seeped from under the scales on the queen’s body. Without waiting for her guards to speak up, she, as if unfazed by pain, kept her mind connected to the Holy City’s defense system, and calmly said,
“Pour all the fuel into the furnace, operate the Holy City at maximum capacity; I want to activate the ‘Eternal Domain’!”
“Eternal Domain”?!
The guards nearby were taken aback by her command. If executed, not only would the enemy be frozen, but they, including the Holy City itself, would also be frozen within a short ti, and then die.
Moreover, a large area of the surrounding sea would beco icebound, inaccessible.
“I have received a ssage through the ‘Soul of the Ocean’ Scepter; Queen Calydos will not be able to provide support until at least one hundred thirty-seven hours from now. Apart from using the ‘Eternal Domain,’ we will not last that long.”
The queen said in an even tone.
Queen Calydos was another “Sea Siren” queen, the most powerful one, who had allied with the humans and possessed an Emperor Level Deepwater Battleship.
That thing was enough to deal with the current situation, but they couldn’t hold out until then.
So the only solution was to freeze the battlefield until that mont…
Several guards fell silent, ready to execute the order, but just then, the queen’s expression suddenly changed:
“Wait, who is that? Tina?”
Above the do, connected to the Holy City’s defense system, the queen “saw” a moving Bubble Island approaching, and on it was one of her daughters who had fled—Tina!
“Damn it, it’s so dangerous here; has she lost her mind?!”
The queen was sowhat frantic.
Out of her eighteen daughters, it had to be Tina, the least intelligent!
But at that mont, the three divine beings that had been attacking the barrier suddenly changed direction, abandoning their assault on them and instead started to attack the Bubble Island.
“Damn!”
The queen cursed under her breath, wanting to stop them but powerless to do so.
In her eyes, the simultaneous strike from the three divine beings was enough to obliterate Bubble Island.
However, to her surprise, just before the attack reached them, a massive fla suddenly erupted on Bubble Island. The fire, filled with a terrifying inner power, even made the three divine beings halt, as if facing a formidable enemy.
“Is this the sacred object? No, it’s not…”
The queen was stunned; if it weren’t for the fact that the “Holy Relic” was indeed inside the sanctum, she would have thought it had been taken away.
But it was only then that she noticed, amidst the bonfire, there stood a human, a human who controlled the fla, arms crossed and looking down in contempt at the three divine beings!
“Is this the sa man from before? How is this possible, he can… control fire? How could the Holy Fire possibly be controlled by a person?”
The queen was puzzled, but there was no ti to ponder. She suddenly heard the brazen human speak up during the standoff with the three divine beings, using a tone that sounded incredibly provoking:
“Who gave you permission to co near ?
“And who allowed you to gaze directly at ?”
