Chapter 308: Chapter 306: Fear of Insufficient Firepower_1
“Do you want
to play matchmaker for you?”
“Coming up with a na is so difficult.” He shuddered as he recalled the terrifying monts during his student days when he’d turn his head and find the class teacher standing right behind him, which brought an awkward smile to his face.
Colin shook his head, not saying much, instead he turned his attention to the Arsonist, “If all goes well, soon we’ll be sailing to the Sea Siren’s holy land aboard this island, which is currently under attack.
“Of course, our only goal is to rescue a few people and complete our mission.
“But we should be prepared. If I asked you to create an explosive with as much power as possible within a day, could you tell
any ideas you might have?”
According to the Queen’s Guard, we’d face a substantial number of enemies when the ti cos, so we’ll need sothing explosive to clear the way.
As a child reared in a five-thousand-year-old ancient country, Colin felt a powerful need for more firepower.
The Arsonist pondered the question and asked, “Big enough, without considering issues of propulsion or delivery?”
“Right,” Colin confird with certainty.
As long as he could produce it, he had at least nine ways to deliver it, though the aim might not be precise. But with sufficient power, accuracy wouldn’t be a problem.
At that mont, the Arsonist’s mind flashed with collected intelligence, and looking around, he said, “A day and a half is tight, but if all goes well, it’s not impossible to do. However, I need your full cooperation…”
“Just say what you need help with.”
“I require Dog Brother’s summoned creature for cutting, high-temperature and ultra-low-temperature thods, and the Sea Siren’s electrical generating techniques, as well as the preparation of so devices… I’ll need them all…”
“That can be arranged, but don’t you need to prepare any materials or the like?”
Colin noticed the Arsonist didn’t ntion gathering materials.
“Materials? Ha, Brother Shunzi, you might not have noticed, but I have—the largest material repository here is this very ocean!”
“I had already spotted this, the seawater here contains rich amounts of certain chemical elents, as well as those luminous crystal stones. It’s a pity, though, I haven’t fully understood the elents in the crystal stones, it’s a little risky to use them rashly, but it’s no big issue…”
He grew more excited as he spoke, his thought processes coming to life.
‘Sss, a true talent never complains about their surroundings.’
Colin had worried about finding the right materials for creating firepower, but he didn’t expect that in the Arsonist’s eyes, the world was truly a treasure trove everywhere.
“By the way, does anyone here have a Decree Book?” The Arsonist inquired.
“I have three… What do you need them for? Aren’t they generally used to establish rules that are advantageous for us?”
Dog Brother spoke up. From the previous “Passionate Paradise” mission, he had made a fortune, not only updating his equipnt but also extravagantly purchasing several six-hundred-point “Decree Book·Fragnt.”
But he hadn’t used them much since then.
“It’s not just advantageous rules, this item can also change the environnt to so extent, like altering air pressure, for instance. Normally in the open, others wouldn’t notice, but it can create a very suitable processing environnt…”
“Are three enough? If not, I have a few more.” Colin interrupted the others.
“Should be about right, of course, the more the better!” The Arsonist said excitedly, having a lot of ideas about utilizing the company’s various tools, but limited by funding, he hadn’t been able to realize them.
But now, he finally had the chance for unrestrained action!
Without further ado, Colin imdiately arranged for mbers of the Sea Sirens proficient in thunder and frost to co, and then ordered the Nano Intellectual chanism to assist.
The production process went rather smoothly, the Arsonist successfully extracted the materials he wanted from the sea and the air, initially confirming so of his own theories…
However, unexpectedly, they thought they would encounter enemies only nearing the outskirts of the “Holy City,” but to their surprise, they soon ran into a fleeing contingent of the Sea Sirens.
Standing atop Hive Island, Colin peered into the distance over the sea, where he saw several animated submarines covered in tentacles chasing behind the Sirens.
These submarines differed from any they encountered before, instantly giving off a militaristic vibe.
Moreover, neither their performance nor any other aspect was inferior in the slightest.
“Are these the submarines from that ‘Alliance’?”
Colin seed to sense sothing, then after confirming there were no enemies like Omar, he decisively plunged into the water to take action.
He moved through the Fishn at an extrely fast pace, swimming in the opposite direction from them.
Several activated submarines sensed Colin, but sadly, the torpedoes carried by the submarines themselves were hardly effective against such an enemy.
And when Colin approached the submarines, they released a terrifying electric current in an attempt to kill him, but to no avail. Not only that, but the tentacles and such growing from the submarines had no effect on him either.
Without high-ranking combat power to check him, Colin was virtually in a realm of no opposition.
Soon, with a terrifying Repulsion Burst, several nearby submarines exploded instantaneously under the suddenly increased water pressure.
So of the infected surged out of the submarines, but as soon as they appeared, they were imdiately killed by the Nano Intellectual chanism that Colin dispersed into their bodies.
After several military-grade submarines were destroyed in succession, this rather ordinary encounter ca to an end.
Colin returned to the hive-like Bubble Island, and soon in the hall, he saw Tina soothing the rmaids who had just been rescued.
He stood to one side, silently counting, making sure there were about thirty or so.
This ti the number was not only enough, but there was quite a surplus.
However, the “Sea Siren” queen was not among them.
‘It figures, if it was her, the chase wouldn’t have been by these minions.’
A thought flashed through Colin’s mind as he walked towards them, and seeing the “Pseudo-Human” Colin approach, the Fishn imdiately tried to flee in shock.
“It’s okay, Sir Bonfire is a good person!” Tina and the already-subdued Fishn quickly reassured them.
And Colin also raised the fla in his hand in ti, as its warm radiation cald the faces still marked with fear.
But a few minutes later, a ssage appeared in the minds of several employees, including Colin.
[“Task condition has been t, please find a suitable location and light the Bonfire in front of all the Believers.”]
[“Recomnded fire-starter for this task: ‘Unnad123456’.”]
…
“Tina, call everyone over, I’ve got sothing great to show you.”
In the spacious hall, Colin reminded Tina.
Before long, all the rmaids had gathered there, and a few colleagues, apart from the Arsonist who was still working overti, had been called over.
Standing in front of everyone, Colin looked down at the crowded faces below, scanning their curious expressions, then slowly raised his right hand and snapped his fingers with a “pop”.
In an instant, a huge, clear, bright fla burst forth, bringing an even more “authentic” warmth!
“Wow!”
The “Sea Sirens” all let out exclamations, their mouths forming “o” shapes.
While they were still in shock, Colin too felt that sothing was forming a connection with this place, regardless of spatial distance and ti.
And this signified the true advent of the “Bonfire Company’s” presence!
[“Trial Task – ‘Find a suitable area to establish a Bonfire Sacrificial Ground’ (2/3)” has been completed.”]
With the completion of this phase of the task, the content of the third phase also appeared in everyone’s minds.
