Chapter 280: Chapter 278: The Sixth Person!_1
“Arsonist Tao Tie…”
Colin casually twirled the basketball-sized fireball in his hand while looking towards the newcor.
This Jailbreak Series old-tir had used so sort of item to turn himself into a smoky, spectral human form, presumably to avoid injury from his own explosive swamp gas.
But at this mont, seeing the flas easily controlled by Colin, the “smoke person” paused, then reverted to normal.
“Is that the ‘Ring of the Fla Master’?”
As soone who had once used this item, the Arsonist quickly realized sothing, “Have you tad that thing, or did you just combine it with sothing else, not fearing the negative effects?”
The “Ring of Fla Dominance,” known as a formidable “high-speed train” inside the company back in the day, had a negative impact that deterred countless employees, and even now, thinking back, he couldn’t help but silently commiserate with the creator’s entire family tree.
Initially, when soone had recomnded this “great value” item to Colin, it was with the intent to have fun teasing the newcor.
After all, a company life without having used the “Ring of Fla Dominance” was obviously incomplete.
But unexpectedly, Shunzi had managed to turn this “high-speed train” into his own private car.
“Probably,” Colin replied vaguely, not revealing much about the integration of the equipnt, just controlling the fire to burn the intolerable stench in the air.
In the midst of conversation, he silently issued a command to the Nano Intellectual chanism he had nad “Xiao Yin” to subtly disperse through the air.
In the face of this red-nad character, Colin felt it necessary to be cautious.
“It seems like you have indeed.” The Arsonist sighed, deducing from the way Colin flicked the fireball with the ease of a practiced move that he had likely truly mastered the device.
Speaking of Colin, his impression of him was quite vivid—
Once on the verge of completing a key task for points, with nothing else to sell, he had no choice but to sell so knowledge to several people. Out of seven or eight, Colin was the only one who paid.
Besides, Colin had managed to complete various high-difficulty tasks that seed almost impossible like he was using cheats, which left an even stronger impression on him.
At that mont, there was more movent. In addition to the one who was still retching, Colin and the Arsonist simultaneously turned their heads and saw a shadow that seed to not exist in reality, accompanied by several eerie “Four-Ard Citizens.”
“Brother Shunzi, long ti no see!”
Dog Brother withdrew the purple-nad dagger from his left hand as he deactivated his item’s effect.
Once he reverted to his true appearance, an employee ID reading “Miss Nell’s Dog” popped up above his head.
That ID really does pack the punch of an ani character every ti you see it…
Colin gave a nod as a response, then looked thoughtfully at the other’s ID:
‘This mission apparently does not have internal team communication, but instead has IDs that appear when eting.’
He didn’t know why the company had done this, but when he had secretly contacted “Xiao Yin” just now, it seed unable to detect this ID.
Now, it seed that only internal staff could see this layer of na.
Colin guessed it must be for so reason that such an arrangent was made.
“Alright, there’s one more person, not sure where…” the Arsonist said, intending to suggest that everyone search for the last person, find him, and then continue planning the next move, including who should take the lead.
But before he could finish, a watertight door not far away suddenly opened.
A person wearing a dog’s head mask climbed out, holding a hamr. After erging, seeing everyone looking at him, he raised his hand to press sothing on his neck, and imdiately a cartoonish, synthesized voice ca out:
“Hello everyone, I am Thor the Thunder God, for the glory of the Norse Gods!”
Above his head was an employee ID that read “Wave Rider Seek Pig.”
As the words ended, Colin and the others couldn’t help but fall silent for a mont, though they weren’t very surprised.
After all, when executing team-type missions, people couldn’t really see each other’s faces clearly, and after the mission ended, their recognition of each employee’s body features would beco blurry.
But… to prevent that “what if,” so employees still took precautions as much as possible.
However, facing this orange-nad employee who deliberately hid his identity, Colin didn’t let down his guard; compared to the red-nad Arsonist, this one was equally a focus of his attention for the potential to trigger extra events.
“Now that everyone’s here, we can…”
“Wait a mont.”
Colin waved his hand to signal, “There’s still one more person on this submarine.”
“Huh?!”
“There’s another person!”
“Isn’t our mission just for five people!”
“Where is he?!”
“Damn! Damn! Damn!”
At these words, everyone present was taken aback, almost simultaneously entering a state of combat readiness.
“Uncertain, I only know there’s an extra person, but I’m not sure where this last person is, let’s search first, solve this problem, and then discuss continuing the mission…” Colin suggested.
The Nano Intellectual chanism Little Maid detected life signs from five people, but could only confirm the presence of four.
The last one was like a ghost, elusive…
“I’ll follow Brother Shunzi’s lead, no objections here.”
With a soft and sowhat feminine voice, Dog Brother nodded in agreent.
Although as an old employee his abilities were not weak, after the “Passionate Paradise” incident, he deeply realized that working with Brother Shunzi ant just emptying his brain and doing the work.
“I… have no objections either.”
“Naming is really tough” also spoke up.
The other two difficult children looked at each other and nodded as well, indicating agreent.
There wasn’t really anything to refuse about the matter, and even if Colin hadn’t brought it up, they would have, but Colin’s suggestion ant that he probably wanted to take command of the whole team.
Sure enough, after everyone agreed, Colin looked at the two of them: “You two… although I don’t know what your deal is, I hope you won’t cause any trouble unless absolutely necessary.”
“Of course, I won’t make a move unless I have no other choice,” Arsonist said.
Don’t make a move unless necessary, aning if he does, his teammates are either going to die or be crippled, right?
Thinking of his style, Colin had so guesswork about the ans of this old Jailbreak Series brother.
After speaking, he tilted his head slightly to look at the other person.
This “Glory of the Northern God” remained silent, instead lifting his hand to his neck and letting the playback device emit a sound:
“Rest assured, I am a very, very good citizen.”
This backed-up voice didn’t seem like that of a simple offender.
Colin sighed. Fortunately, the Nano Intellectual chanism had already silently adhered to their bodies; at a critical mont, he could imdiately take control of them, and if he wished, he could flatten them like the “Heroes.”
With this thought, Colin relaxed a little and began to lead the group in searching the submarine.
They stuck together rather than splitting up. While the submarine wasn’t small, being over seventy ters in length and eight ters wide, nor was it large. Aside from a part of the front half, the interior space wasn’t extensive, and many of the passageways were quite narrow, only about a ter wide, causing a sense of irritability and impatience in one’s heart due to the restricted movent.
Add to that the thick stench of decay in the air, the sight of bloated, seaweed-covered corpses, the subtle rocking of the submarine, and the occasional unknown, piercing sounds coming from the deep sea outside, everyone couldn’t help but feel a bit oppressed…
“No wonder they said to prepare sothing to lessen psychological stress.”
Colin walked among the group, with the five “Good Brothers” leading the way.
If there really were any unforeseen movents ahead, with the Good Brothers taking the brunt, he estimated he could react in ti.
Colin’s example of leading from the front also received the approval of the others behind him; after all, their biggest fear was if Colin beca the “leader,” he’d make them take the hard hits while he hid in the back—
As for the “Good Brothers,” were they really people you could rely on for a hundred bucks?
However, to Colin’s surprise, even after scouring the submarine, they found no sign of the sixth person.
“Could it be a hallucination?” the Arsonist couldn’t help but ask, as it seed everyone else but Colin had not noticed the presence of a sixth person…
“There shouldn’t be any mistake.”
Colin furrowed his brow; besides the Nano Intellectual chanism’s report, he had also faintly slled sothing through his sense of sll, which seed to disappear almost imdiately.
Having no choice, he headed back from the rear of the submarine to the activity area in the front section.
‘This sixth person really knows how to hide…’ Colin thought as he rubbed his forehead, unsure of how the other person managed to hide so well, letting him know soone was there, but damn it, just unable to find them.
Along the way, aside from collecting corpses and storing them in so restrooms, they hadn’t had ti to do much else.
“Since we can’t find that guy, let’s start the mission first.”
A tuft of fla flickered above Colin’s head as he was about to have the “Nano Intellectual chanism” gain access to the submarine’s system.
But it was at that mont that a hoarse voice suddenly sounded amongst the crowd:
“You’ve been walking around, were you looking for ?”
