Chapter 262: Chapter 262 “Celestial Observation Society”_1

“The task, the sll, everything points here, it must be right…”

Colin shoved his hands in his pockets, raised his leg, and a huge fla attached to his leg kicked straight towards the door.

Boom!

The door exploded instantly with that kick.

A swirl of dazzling, distorted colors burst forth but was quickly devoured by a more ferocious blaze; as flas poured ruthlessly into the studio, the scene inside was laid bare for all to see.

“Where are they?”

Colin didn’t find Qin Chuan and the others, but did see many easels, each holding what seed to be unfinished oil paintings.

However, the next second, as if sensing sothing, Colin looked at one of the oil paintings.

In that painting, it was Qin Chuan and his companions who seed to be chased by sothing, fleeing in terror; the painting was very lifelike, or perhaps… they were really trapped inside.

“They got put into a painting?”

Colin was astonished, but without giving it much thought, he suddenly felt sothing and turned his head to look deeper into the studio, where a two-ter-tall, gigantic oil painting hung on the wall.

The painting depicted a radiant starry sky, with countless stars emitting mad colors, looking extrely distorted and bizarre…

At that mont, below the canvas, a glowing figure of a woman slowly stood up.

“You are, you also want to, destroy my painting, don’t you? You….”

“You people… all deserve to die!”

“Die, all of you! Beco my pignts! Beco my… artwork! Ha-ha, ha-ha… he-he-he…”

The woman’s voice and tone beca increasingly disordered, and by the end, she devolved into manic laughter.

When she turned to look at Colin, they finally saw her appearance; on her pale face, her eyes were gone, but the eye sockets were not empty because a continuously flowing paint with distorted colors spilled out of them…

From this woman, all Colin could sense was pure madness.

“There seems to be no need for salvation…”

Colin could even see that what flowed through the vessels beneath the woman’s skin was not blood, but an unknown liquid radiating dazzling light…

He drew his handgun, intending to execute a swift and ruthless draw-and-fire maneuver.

But at that mont, a young man abruptly approached from behind: “Chen Wei, Wei, is that you?!”

Hearing his words, the woman’s body shuddered and stopped, the twisted, exaggerated smile freezing.

“It’s really you! I’ve been looking for you for so long!”

The frail-looking young man showed a surprised delight: “We’ve co to save you, don’t be afraid…”

“Wang Hai… Wang Haiwei?” the woman muttered.

“Yes, it’s ! I’m here to save you! I’ve been searching for you since you went missing! Let’s go back together, it doesn’t matter to

what you look like…”

Tears stread down the young man’s face, who had known sothing was wrong here all along but still braved his way inside, all to find his beloved girlfriend and fiancée.

After enduring so much hardship, he finally saw her.

“…Couldn’t he really be moved by her?”

Watching the scene unfold, Colin wore a puzzled expression; was this what they called the power of love?

Having always been out of touch with such matters, Colin found it sowhat surreal, yet also pondered if it could really be possible?

However, it was then that he suddenly had a foreboding feeling…

“Hee-hee-hee… Haiwei… Haiwei… my love… you will, surely you will help

finish this beautiful piece, won’t you…”

“Yes! I will do anything for you, so let’s go back first…”

“No, no, I still, I still need so more pignts…”

“Pignts?”

The young man was puzzled and confused, but before he could figure it out, Colin suddenly kicked him away to one side.

In the next instant, the woman who had been tens of ters away dragged a stream of bright, twisted colors at breakneck speed, like a shooting star through the flas, passing between the two n…

Yet, just when Colin thought she would pass straight through, the woman’s figure stopped unnaturally in midair, turned her head, looked at Colin with a sinister smile, stretched out her arms towards him, as if wanting to absorb him into her body…

What baffled her, even in her mania, was that Colin, too, had a smile on his face…

The next second, Colin disappeared before her eyes, and a searing, terrifying pain erupted from her abdon.

The woman with the multicolored blood looked down to see a pitch-black Bone Spur riddled with cracks, plunged into her abdon at so unknown ti.

“Ah!!!”

The terrible pain overpowered her madness at that mont, and she fell to the ground, writhing in agony.

But after a few seconds, the alien colors on her body faded, putrid, foul-slling black liquid oozed from her, her body swelled and bloated, and before long, she beca still.

“Wei! Stop it! Let

go!”

The young man who was kicked aside finally ca to his senses, hurriedly trying to rush over, but this ti, another person held him back.

Pinning too many hopes on love proved unwise… Colin wondered whether the young man was truly foolish or pretending to be. After taking care of the woman, he bent down to pick up the Bone Spur, his gaze then turning towards the enormous painting in the depths of the studio.

As the anomaly had not yet dissipated, it suggested that the woman most likely was not the direct source of the contamination…

Without much hesitation, he stepped forward, heading straight towards it.

As he neared the painting, an indescribable sense of crisis grew stronger…

Just as he got within five ters of it, Colin suddenly realized sothing, sniffed the air, paused, turned to look at a corner of the studio, and noticed a painting blended with a multitude of vivid colors standing there.
