"The reason for deploying Hutton in San Francisco to incite chaotic rumors wasn’t just to distract the authorities and the Evil God Council, ensuring our ritual proceeds smoothly. As it turns out, those fools at the Evil God Council haven’t even noticed the Kettel Building. Hutton has successfully completed his mission."

"..." Zorn remained silent, offering no reply.

Yet, judging by the slight tremble in his brows, it seed he didn’t agree with the black man’s statent.

At that mont, on the screen, as Sun Yan was hurrying along the hallway, four or five black-suited bodyguards suddenly erged from the stairwell door.

Their bodies swelled instantly, their clothes tore apart, and the bodyguards transford into werewolves covered in fur, snarling as they charged at Sun Yan.

"He’ll die a horrible death; ordinary people can’t possibly contend against werewolves." The black man showed a vicious smile, already anticipating the scene of Sun Yan being torn to shreds.

But in the next second, his smile froze on his face, rendered incredulous by what was happening on the screen.

Sun Yan pulled a Great Seal from his travel bag, and thunder struck instantly, charring every werewolf approaching him on the spot.

Seen as terrifying and fierce, the werewolves were as helpless as lambs before Sun Yan, posing no threat whatsoever.

"A Divine Artifact! He actually possesses a Divine Artifact!" Old Zorn exclaid in shock.

"Mr. Klein will likely enjoy this news—a new Divine Artifact added to the ritual can hasten the arrival of the Ancient Gods."

The black man bowed elegantly: "It seems it’s ti for to step in. Mr. Zorn, allow to deal with this intruder. I’ll show you the true power of the Rule God after being transford by the Blood of the Old Gods."

Old Zorn sneered: "Since when did you need my permission to act, Jabi?"

The black man slowly departed: "Mr. Klein’s rules should still be followed, as you raised Mr. Klein. Even though you can’t withstand the Blood of the Old Gods and beco like us, for Mr. Klein’s sake, I’ll still show you the appropriate respect."

After the man left, Old Zorn pounded the table in anger.

"Blood of the Old Gods, Blood of the Old Gods again... Why can’t I board the ship of the new era? I want to beco god too!"

...

The Kettel Building was truly tall, so tall that Sun Yan suspected he was trapped in infinite space, never able to reach the top floor.

Along the way, he wasn’t sure how many security personnel he’d dealt with. Those guys were no longer normal humans, each possessing extraordinary powers.

Either they could turn into werewolves, or they wielded abilities that even Sun Yan found troubleso.

If not for Sun Yan’s Mo Lihai Dharma Aspect and Nine Dragon Five Thunder Seal being superior, he would’ve been dead under the security’s siege.

Upon reaching the 72nd floor, the iron door of the stairwell suddenly opened, followed by a group led by a black man entering the hallway, completely blocking Sun Yan’s path.

The black man, Jabi, looked down at Sun Yan with a high and mighty disdainful smile: "Eastern people, pleased to et you. Allow to introduce myself: my na is Jabi Koes, head of security for this building."

Sun Yan said nothing, staying ready for action, believing this black man didn’t appear with any special purpose other than confrontation.

"I’ve heard about how you injured Hutton. Although Hutton was only an imperfect Rule God, he had been transford by the Blood of the Old Gods, and his strength wasn’t sothing ordinary exorcists could handle. To wound him, I’m curious about the secret. Could you explain how you broke the rules of power?"

Jabi asked with a smile, entirely dismissing Sun Yan as a danger.

But his words piqued Sun Yan’s curiosity.

"Rule God? Blood of the Old Gods?" Sun Yan asked calmly. "What does this an?"

"In this world, from the Cretaceous period until now, countless eras have been born, each with its own rulers, so human, so beast, so even god."

"In more modern tis, the existence of so new gods is docunted on tablets or passed down by wandering poets, serving as texts or allegories. Mythologies from Northern Europe, Greece, India, North Arica, Egypt, including Eastern Mythology—all have recorded these gods. Have you ever considered whether there were gods unrecorded by history in this world? Indeed, they are the Ancient Gods."

Jabi pressed his palm against the wall, causing a red glow to emanate from it, as blood vessels sprouted from his palm, sprawling across the hallway.

"The power of the Ancient Gods is far stronger than those so-called deities docunted. They can alter the rules of human perception. Witnessing an Ancient God could lead to insanity if not acknowledged by them, resulting in total ntal collapse and madness."

"Although Hutton was an imperfect Rule God, the rules’ power he possessed was enough to handle most exorcists. Your survival from his grasp indicates you have a power to break rules. I’m very interested in that. If you share your secret with , I’ll let you leave the Kettel Building alive. How about it?"
