Swish! Swish!
"Fiuh." Ruben looked at the runes in front of him with satisfaction.
Unlike others who had other things to do before it was ti for them to depart to City I Base, Ruben didn’t really have many things to do. This is not City A Base where he had to work with Mr. Jones to manage many things but City J Base.
So he could focus on fighting and improving the runes in his hand.
Even though Riya didn’t say it clearly, Ruben felt that drawing the runes and talisman would help him to concentrate, which in turn, help him to ditate longer. But he was not sure whether this was the effect of drawing runes continuously for a long period of ti or it was because he had been ditating for a period of ti instead.
No matter which one the answer is, it didn’t seem to be important.
"Are you done, Ruben?" Sean glanced at Ruben on the side.
Since Alia was training with Arnold while the two siblings were going out to hunt more magic beasts, Sean chose to stay with Ruben.
As for disturbing Samuel and Riya?
He didn’t want to die yet.
Just seeing the way his brother looked at him, Sean had no doubt that his brother would not let him off if he disturbed the other party. This made him understand what Alia told him before.
He didn’t know how Alia managed to guess it faster than him.
Perhaps it was won’s intuition.
But no matter what it is, Sean didn’t care about it too much anymore. He just wanted to keep his small life and practiced hard.
"Well, I run out of mana," Ruben said helplessly. He could only be categorized as a magician with rune master as side profession. Because if he wanted to compare with Riya, there was still a long way off before he could reach her level.
"Huh..." Sean looked at the stack of talisman in front of Ruben that was soon taken into the space storage scroll in understanding.
There were a lot of talisman that Ruben had made in the past hour while he was ditating.
"What do you want to ask?" Ruben asked and crossed his arms. There was no way Sean would stay behind waiting for him so patiently like this.
Most of the ti, this brat would go sowhere and didn’t even rember him.
"Well... I’m just thinking whether it’s possible for you to talk to my brother about lowering the requirent." Sean scratched the back of his head. "I’m still at rank 3 and also the lowest among the team. Even you’re higher than and I’m thinking that I might not be suitable for this position."
He wanted to switch his training.
Previously, Mr. Jones had already started training Sean in business and managent from ti to ti when he has ti. After all, it was impossible for Sean to ditate all day long like Riya.
Considering that no one knew Riya had a world on her own, they just assud that she’s ditating in her room.
Magician required longer ditation than magic warriors, which was sothing that everyone knew very well. So When Riya stayed in her room, no one dared to disturb her in fear that they would cause trouble to her.
After all, Riya is very capable.
And if they were not careful enough, they might accidentally offend her.
"If you’re not strong enough, Samuel would not be at ease letting you be by yourself," Ruben pointed it out rcilessly. "Do you really think that with your weak strength, you can stand on your own?"
"But he didn’t ask Father to practice...."
"Mr. Jones and Mrs. Jones are still diligently practicing when they have ti at ho," Ruben interrupted. "And they know very well that they can’t go out to play in various places because they might be used against him."
Before the world changed, Ruben was working as both an architect and also Samuel’s assistant. It was also because of this that Ruben knew more about Samuel and his family mbers.
They also trusted him.
"That..." Sean opened his mouth and then closed it again.
His father and mother didn’t have the interest to walk around in this kind of environnt and could focus on their work.
Mrs. Jones always stay in the core areas of City A Base, busy helping with so things. And there were people who were sent by Mr. Jones protecting Mrs. Jones in secret.
Mr. Jones was either on his ho or going to the office. There were also many people who were protesting him around him because of his position as City A Base’s leader in practice. Samuel is the leader in na but he had never truly worked much because he needed to practice.
If Samuel continued being the leader of the base, he might not be able to keep up with Riya’s training speed.
This was sothing that all of them had noticed.
And Mr. Jones also let his son to focus on his own practice instead of these sses.
"You’re still young, Sean and right now, the most important thing is to get stronger." Ruben looked at Sean thoughtfully. "Samuel said that it’s not impossible for you to reach rank 4 and rank 5 even if it might be longer than the others. Of course, you still have to work hard on your own."
"You can say that to yourself. Magicians takes longer to practice because what you need the most is ditation and talent," Sean said while rolling his eyes.
"That’s why I’m practicing hard," Ruben answered without hesitation.
Seeing Ruben in front of him, Sean thought about sothing else and slowly asked, "Have you ever thought of doing business on your own?"
With Ruben’s capability, it would be easy for him to work on his own and didn’t follow them.
Of course, Sean didn’t an not following them to practice but about his position as Samuel’s assistant. Those works would definitely slow Ruben down from his work.
