The privilege of having Riya as best friend was really evident.
Stephen sighed but didn't care too much about it. Anyway, that is his sister. If his sister could grow stronger, it'll be good.
"The other one is water elent." Riya stretched her palm and then started chanting, "Flowing water co forth, gentle and tough. Give your protection, oh water. Water Shield."
Splash!
Water ca out from her palm and then extended in front of her to form a water shield. It was partially transparent and they could see the other side, but it was not very clear.
The magic spell for these two spells were not that embarrassing either and among the few that Riya could stand chanting. But then again, there was no way they would make such embarrassing lines when they were in that world.
They also needed face!
But in this world, Riya didn't know how much face the magic association's magician had left. Because there were already many videos circulating about their embarrassing chant magic spells.
Riya herself didn't dare to watch.
She was afraid that she would laugh or hurt her eyes because of the scene that they might presented.
"This shield is not very strong, so you might want to make sure that you're not facing too powerful opponent," Riya explained.
Stephen nodded. "I understand."
Samuel looked at the shield in front of Riya curiously and patted the surface. It still looked like a normal water and didn't seem to be that strong.
"Can this shield really protect you?"
Riya watched as Samuel easily pierced through the shield and fell into silence.
"Samuel, this is a low ranked magic spell! Don't compare it with your gorilla strength!"
"Hey, hey, even gorilla is not as strong as , right?"
"That's your point?"
The two people bickered again and Stephen looked at these two people in silence. He had the feeling that he shouldn't be here but he should be outside.
Even though the content of their conversation was normal, but Stephen had the faint feeing that he was interrupting sothing.
But he was the one who ca here to ask for sothing.
"Ehem." Stephen coughed. "Can I try?"
Riya and Samuel stopped their bicker and Riya stepped forward. A rune was ford in front of her with a wave of her hand and then she tilted her head. "Your mana is a bit too little, so making a shield would be difficult. If you want to try, you can try the wood one."
Stephen looked at the runes in front of Riya and asked, "This is…?"
"Investigation runes," Riya replied. "When you're encountering enemies or opponents that you don't know, you can investigate their situation with this runes. Of course, there are limitation to what you can see because powerful magicians or magic warrior or even warrior, had their own way to block the investigation runes."
Stephen had a blank look.
He's just a low ranked magic warrior who wanted to switch to beco a magician, how could he know what RIya was talking about?
But Samuel chuckled on the side. "That thing is not very useful when fighting against soone at the sa ranks or more powerful."
He had already faced rune masters in that world and saw the investigation runes they used. The sense of probing would co to him and Samuel only needed to utilize mana to block it.
Unless they were far more powerful than him, it was hard for the investigation runes to work.
"There are a lot of limitation." Riya shrugged. "But I can still see a lot of information if I want to."
As a rune master, Riya naturally modified the investigation runes that she used. After all, Riya knew very well that the information that the investigation runes could show was limited.
If she wanted to know more, she had to add so runes.
But at the sa ti, she had to maintain the stability to make sure that the runes would not fall apart right after she used it.
It was not that difficult for Riya, but she couldn't say for sure about other people.
"I don't think that I need to know the rest." Stephen raised his hand to stop Riya from explaining further.
He didn't have the confidence that he would be able to follow.
"Alright, you just have to mobilize your mana while chanting… you know how to chant magic spells, right?"
"I only know counterattack shield that Samuel taught us."
"That's enough for starters; Rember the feeling when you make the counterattack shield but this ti, you mobilize your mana while chanting the magic spells," Riya explained slowly.
She had already explained this once when teaching Sophia and this was nothing more than a repeat of that short class.
Sophia was also very good because she could use the magic spells that Riya taught so quickly.
Stephen nodded and stretched his hand forward as he chanted, "I am the woods, the pillar of growth. Let the wood grow even more vigorously and entangle the enemy in front of , tangled roots."
And…
Nothing happened.
Riya looked at Stephen's bottod mana and fell into silence. "It seems that while your mana amount is enough to cast the spell once, your mana mobilization is too crude and a lot of mana is wasted."
Through the investigation runes in front of her, Riya noticed all of Stephen's mistake and the reason why the casting failed.
After that, Riya explained a few more things to Stephen and let him practice at ho.
There was no way Stephen could recover his mana quickly.
It would be better for him to go back and practice again later when his mana had recovered.
Stephen was listening carefully while Samuel was watching Riya. He could tell that Riya was earnestly telling Stephen his mistakes and so on. As long as he followed Riya's advice, he only needed to practice a bit before he could cast the magic spell.
A smile ford on the corner of Samuel's lips.
